New dreams to be seen

"Have you done what you want to say? Should I speak up now?" Samantha replied as soon as Alvin halted. Her voice was calm, like a river. As if she was waiting for this moment. She looked at him for a second and then looked back at the way they were moving.

Alvin felt dumbfounded here. 'What happened to her? She is behaving like nothing is there. His tension and anxiety don't matter to her,' inwardly thinking, he parked the car on the roadside suddenly after hearing her words. It was too much to take. He unbuckled the belt and came out of the car. He was feeling lost.

First, she remained seated in the car, thinking he would soon get in, but when there was no movement, she stepped down, too. She walked towards him.

"What happened, Alvin? Why do we stop here? Let's get in. I am famished." Yanking his hand, she tried to move him.

Her behaviour was looking normal, like nothing happened. His eyes scanned her from top to bottom, searching for something hidden.

He nodded and scoffed in his mind.

"Sure," saying that he opened the car door, and both hopped in. After thinking a lot, he let go of the thoughts about her queer way of behaviour.

"Hmm, so what you wanted to say?" Nonchalantly, he asked.

Her lips parted ways and her mind was ready to speak up about everything, but suddenly it changed her decision.

"Let it be. I think I was just overreacting." She dropped the idea. It would be senseless to ruin these precious moments they were having together right now. She left everything in the future. Though she could ask for help and he would not deny taking care of her mother's sickness, her self-esteem was not allowing her. He could take revenge on Derek just in the snap of the finger, but it would be wrong to earn benefits from him just because she loved her.

In the future when the world found know that they were dating, they might label her as a carpetbagger. They might laugh at him as well for loving her blindly.

She took a deep breath because, no matter what effort she put into this relationship to save from the hawk eyes of this world, ultimately it would be crippled.

Soon he stopped the car at the destination.

He quickly got out of the car, while Samantha was collecting her stuff to get out. Her hand was about to unlock the door when it opened automatically with a click sound. Some guards were standing there in a row, hands cast back.

She looked here and there in confusion. Suddenly, Alvin's hand was placed in front of her to help her to step down.

"Alvin, where are we? It not looking lik..." She looked perplexed.

Slowly, she came out and stood there, looking at everything in awe.

"Control your horses, lady. You will get to know everything. First, let's go in." He put his index finger on her rosy, tender lips.

Then he circled her shoulder with his left arm, and they started walking in. The guards there bowed them to greet and one of them quickly opened the door for them.

When they entered the building, it was a majestic view. Everything was breathtaking. The enormous hall welcomed them first, parted with a living area and a dining area. There were two stairs to reach the dining table. It beautifully decorated the hall with chandeliers, carpets, luxurious sofas, and curtains. Everything was over the top to be explained. The entire hall had a touch of cream white and golden colours.

A big staircase was going up from the left side and connecting two floors with the ground. The lobbies there were visible and rooms had their doors opened there.

Everything was just exaggerated there. Alvin led her to the dining table. It was filled with all her favourite dishes. Many dishes were there.

By seeing them, a grumbling sound came out.

She looked flustered and covered her mouth quickly. Alvin chuckled softly and dragged a chair for her to sit. She sat there gracefully. Her cheeks turned fuchsia red. Her eyes concentrated on the exquisite cutlery placed in front of her. Everything was like a fairytale which she had ever wished for in her childhood dreams.

Soon the butler came and started serving them their food. The clanking sound of the silverware brought her back to reality.

"Enjoy your breakfast, sir and madam." The butler finished serving and bowed to both of them. He left quickly from their sight.

"Alvin, whose house is this?" She asked him once found themselves alone in bewilderment where Alvin looked relaxed and casual.

"Why don't you eat first? The cook is very good at his work here." He placed a spoonful of crumbled eggs.

Her heart skipped a beat when she looked at her sweet gesture. The sun's rays filtering from the glass doors of the wall-mounted windows intensified his skin's glow. He again moved the spoon in front of her eyes, when he found her lost in her thoughts again.

"Hmm,"

She opened her mouth obediently. He shoved the food and one could see the joy of satisfaction on his face.

They started eating together. Once it was over, the butler came in quickly to clean up everything.

After everything was over, Alvin placed a file in front of her. A leather file which had some sort of papers peeping outside.

"What is this? You are getting more mysterious to me, today." She took the file with a nervous convulse.

"This is for you. I purchased this mention for you." He opened the file kept in her hand and explained with a grin.

The file fell on the table, startling her.

"What." She couldn't control her voice and almost squealed. Her face looked pale. The eyes turned red as if she was about to cry. Things were getting difficult for her. The more she tried to run away from this affair, the more destiny was pushing them together.
