Genevieve rushed to Isabella's side and pulled her behind her before asking,
"What was that for?"
Isabella scoffed as she rubbed her knuckles,
"He deserved it for letting you run away when he could have come to save you." She spat out and stared at Rhett.
Genevieve took her eyes from Rhett who was still groaning in pain from the hit.
"He wasn't aware that I ran away." She told Isabella.
Isabella paused and asked, "Really?"
Genevieve nodded.
"He wasn't and besides I wouldn't have accepted his help if he had offered. We were strangers Bell… and still are. We only had a nightstand because I was drunk and did not know what I was doing." She explained.
Isabella's mouth formed an 'o' as she looked at her feet. She bit her lower lip nervously, she didn't know where to begin. She had just hit a billionaire on his stomach for a minor misunderstanding and now she doesn't know what to say.
