Believe Me

Genevieve looked at the door for a long time, she stared at her hand on the handle and then at the door. She didn't know when she open the door or just remain standing outside.

After taking another deep breath for the umpteenth time, she opened the door and walked into the room.

"Thought you were going to take your fucking time," Rhett sneered as soon as she entered the room.

Genevieve didn't bother answering him as she walked further into the room until she was standing in front of Rhett.

She stared at her fingers like they were the most interesting thing to her at that moment.

"Are you going to explain yourself or will you keep staring at your damn nails," Rhett asked angrily.

"I didn't do it. I didn't do anything, Rhett, this….all this was a setup. I would never do this to you," she began without raising her head to look at him.

"And why should I believe you?" He asked, she brought her head up and stared at him in shock.
