Cordelia sat at the CEO's seat, she was currently in the boardroom with the board members . " So what do you guys have to say concerning this petition that has been made? But before the voting begins, remember, we can't let a mad person lead the company. " All this while, Mr Graham, was staring at her with a disappointed look . He was Valeria's mom's best friend since high school and he has been the one secretly guarding the company all this while, hoping Valeria will take over the company.

He has tried to convince her on several occasions but she has been adamant on taking over. He just sighed, betting his last breath on a miracle.

" She asked, glaring at Valeria. Valeria being Valeria, didn't make things easy for her. " You're doomed step mother", she thought

" Doctor? But I don't remember ever getting sick mom, or do I have an illness I don't know about?" , Valeria asked , feigning innocence. " Well, I don't think so, now let's quit with the act already, I'm tired of it. " Valeria said coldly this time, sending shivers down Cordelia's spine. " What's this girl trying to prove here?" , Cordelia thought. " Well, well , well, dear stepmother, so how did your plan of faking my madness in order to reset the company's owner to that bitch of a daughter turn out?" , Valeria asked, standing behind Cordelia with her hands rested on her shoulder. Cordelia shivered in her seat, beads of sweat has begun running down her back and forehead already. This young girl carried a cry intimidating aura, she thought.

All this while, Mr Graham sat there, silently watching the display before him. He was truly proud of little Jing Jing, genes never lie. She is truly the daughter of Luisa. She was such a brave woman, he thought. " Oh! Cat got your tongue? Why the silence all of a sudden?", Valeria questioned, still with her hands resting on Cordelia's shoulders, Cordelia who sat there couldn't help but fear. This girl is not as innocent as she thought , and the aura surrounding her is screaming danger.

Mr McLaren who sat in his own chair, kept on praying silently that Valeria wouldn't notice him. He couldn't help but feel scared of this little girl. " Oh , Mr McLaren, I didn't seem to notice you earlier, do you care to explain the doctors report which says I'm running mad, cause I'm a little bit confused." , Valeria said knowingly, with an evil smirk plastered on her face. " Oh no, what do I do now, I can sense danger from this little girl.", McLaren thought as he sat there at the verge of collapsing. " Oh my bad! Cat got your tongue as well? " , okay, so, let's do it this way, since you can't answer this question, why don't we talk about the 20% fund which has been embezzled ? , Oops!! It slipped from mouth?" , Valeria said, feigning a worried look.

The boardroom was in uproar at the moment.

They have been sitting there silently, enjoying the little display before them, but this time, they couldn't help but voice out their thoughts. How could she cheat them? Most of the board members are Chinese, who don't joke with the loyalty and honesty etiquette when it comes to business, if not for the fact that they've respect for Zu weyi, they'd have been gone from this place a long time ago.

" Oh no!! How did she find out? How did this bitch get to know of this? She's doomed. But wait, she doesn't have proof right? Yes, I'm sure she wouldn't, she doesn't even come to this place in the first place.", Cordelia thought and gathered up her courage. " Do you even have any proof to backup what you're saying, you don't just talk based on hear say dear", Cordelia spoke after her long mute state. The door opened and Lena walked in, with a bodyguard who had a stuck of files in his hand trailing behind her. Valeria made eye contact with Lena and she understood immediately. She snapped her fingers and the bodyguard begun to distribute the files to the board members, who confusingly opened it and begun reading through.

The document is a file containing the details of the funds that has been embezzled over the years.

" Can you start the retaliation you were making earlier, stepmother? I wasn't really paying attention", Valeria taunted with a knowing smirk which didn't go unnoticed by Cordelia who was shrinking in her seat already. Mr McLaren who saw the evidence couldn't hide his anxiety as he made to run outside. " Move a step and I promise to blow your head off" , Valeria said, without even looking his way. Mr McLaren immediately sat back . How did this girl know he planned on escaping without even looking at him? , he thought . " Okay, so this is what is going to happen, I believe everyone here has seen the evidence, which clearly shows the embezzlement of funds over the years. And this done by no one either than Mrs Cordelia Valdez and he accomplice Mr McLaren" , Valeria spoke up again.

" Wait what!! The us embezzlement of funds alright, but how are you so sure that it's as?" , Cordelia asked, trying so hard to hide her anxiety. Valeria made eye contact with Lena once again, who immediately walked to the projector and inserted a drive in it. ". I believe this will clear your doubts dearest mom" , Valeria said sarcastically as the video of Cordelia talking to someone on the phone immediately came into view. The video clearly showed Cordelia's face, and the board members quickly recognised the voice on the other end as that of Mr McLaren's.

" So since everything is clear and I'm the rightful owner of this company, I declare the dismissal of Mrs Cordelia Valdez , Valeria said after the video ended. " Meaning?" , Cordelia couldn't help but ask. " You're not stupid stepmother, you surely know what I'm talking about, but since you want a little insight, it means..., you're fired and seize to be the company's CEO from this very moment. Your service here has ended, and oh , I almost forgot. You'd not be granted any form of compensation since you already have the funds you embezzled.", Valeria spoke coldly, with all seriousness.

" No!! You can't do this !! I've been the one managing this company ever since you were little!! And this is what I get in return!!?", Cordelia yelled. "SHUT IT!! , your voice is breaking my ear drum" , Valeria said, touching her ears. " I decided to let this slide and not report you to the cops, so you should be grateful and not yelling. And don't try anything stupid, I might not be so forgiving next time. The game has actually just begun. Now OUT!! " , Valeria yelled . " No you wouldn't dare!! How can you be so forgetful! I brought you up and took care of this company!! You can't do this to me!!!, Cordelia kept lamenting. " Well , I have. Security!! ", Valeria called, and they came in immediately, as if they've been waiting in a corner for the call of judgement. " Get this woman out of here and make sure that I don't see her anywhere near this property, or else, you'll face my wrath!", Valeria warned sternly. " Yes ma'am ", they chorused and carried Cordelia who was still screaming out of the room.

" Please have mercy, I can't loose this job, it's very important to me" , Mr McLaren crawled to Valeria's feet and pleaded. " You should have thought of that before betraying the company. Just thank your stars I'm in a good mood, or else, I'd have called the cops on you. But I'm not too heartless, knowing you have a family to feed for, you should go and find another job. But remember, don't ever cross my path again or you wouldn't like what happens next. Now out! ", Valeria yelled at him looking all cold, and he couldn't help but flee.
