CHAPTER 3

The whole ride is silent and tense you can cut it with a knife.

I am about to ask him where we are going when we pull into a clearing by the forest line. This place doesn't look like people know about it because it's so remote that I start questioning myself why I decided to follow a complete stranger.

Weirdly enough I didn't feel to be in any sort of danger. I always try to listen to my body when I'm in a situation and right now despite my over thinking mind I was feeling safe.

"We will have to walk the rest of the way"

we get out and I follow him through the narrow path .the trees clears out to reveal a river and a waterfall.

I have never seen such a magnificent view before.

"Be careful it's slippery" my strange boy tells me as he makes his way closer to the waterfall.

There was a place stones were set in such a way someone could sit. He sits down and just stares at the river and the view without uttering a single word. i sit next to him and try to enjoy the view but it's all very distracting.

" You are very trusting of strangers new girl"

"My name is Eveline. I don't get why you keep insisting on calling me that"

"You are the new girl aren't you?" how I'm not surprised he such a moody person.

" Do you always invite new girls out for a ride?"

he looks at me "only if they want to"

He has such an attitude it's starting to grate on my nerves.

" Gee thanks but I'm trying to enjoy the view here can you keep your attitude to yourself?''

he chuckles and looks forward.

"So what's your name?" Up until this point it would only be fair that he would have told me his name but I don't know who raised him.

" You don't need to know my name…just yet"

he stand and starts unbuckling his boots then goes on to remove his shirt

"what do you think you are doing?"

he looks at me as if I'm an new species he is trying to figure out.

" I'm going for a run what did you think this is?''

My mind is trying to process what he said without looking at him which is hard since he was now removing his jeans.

"What do you mean a run"

"Do you always ask this much questions?" By now he is completely naked and I have to turn around not to look at him

"are you coming?"

"What? No I am not about to get naked in front of you"

"Nothing I haven't seen before. Don't be naïve new girl."

That stung but I decide this will be one of those moments I will be regretting later in my room I stripped down to my bikini.

This time turning to a wolf wasn't as painful as my first time by the time I turned around I saw a gray huge wolf looking at me. It pointed towards the woods and started running that way. I followed suit.

My wolf feel so free and cheery. She runs past the grey wolf and even sniffs him. He sniffs her back and playfully nudges her. We run for quite a while and play even though the grey wolf is trying to resist at first.

We go back to the waterfall and turn back to our human form. Dusk has already started creeping in by the time we turn back and I don't know what makes me jump into the water.

I shriek immediately I dive in because it is so cold. He joins me soon after and we start cycling each other in the water.

We swim for a while without talking then he gets out. I get out too and start dressing because I need to go home. At this point I know my parents are wondering where I am or if I got lost.

We head back to the car and start driving back home all while no one says a word to each other. I keep hoping he will tell me his name before he drops me off but he doesn't. He pulls up to my gate and I get out" thanks for the adventure stranger" I tell him and start heading home. I'm just hoping he really isn't going to be a stranger and he goes to the same high school as me. I am already intrigued.

**EDEN**

My car smells like her.

I knew the Leblancs were coming back in Laurentia since we are neighbours and our clan is close knight and we are practically neighbors. What I didn't expect is for Eveline to be the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.

I can't tell if she remembers me but I did. I couldn't ask her that though. Today was totally unplanned and her bumping on me was unseen. I was on my way for practice and I ended up taking her to my spot. I'm so mad at myself right now. This is so unlike me.

What's even more frustrating and hard to figure out is why I let her see my wolf. That's rare. On a full moon the turn is inevitable and not a big deal but traditionally if it's not a full moon and when your wolf wants to introduce itself to someone it comes out.

I have been told this by my brother I just quite don't understand the meaning of it. I pull to my house and head to the house. My mom is in the kitchen cooking dinner and I see my big brother helping her out. Our family is really close. I decide to ask my mom.

''Hey mom" I kiss her on the cheeks

"What does it mean when my wolf decided to come play when I'm in company of a girl?" i ask her.

"Come play?" my brother is laughing and I realize what his dumb ass thinks

"Come on don't be a jerk Vince'' "

Okay boys play nice. What do you mean Eden? Did you want to turn or was it forthcoming?" My mom is really a stickler to detail

"I felt really strong urge so i'll say forthcoming?"

"Well honey.. whoever the company was, your wolf wanted to introduce himself to her.Who is she?" she asks.

my brother catcalls and I throw a carrot to him

"our new neighbors"

"you already made friends with them? You move fast" vince is really getting on my nerves

"boys" my mom slaps his hand as he pick a piece of cheese on the kitchen counter. " well Eden that's a very intimidate thing. It's understandable because maybe your wolf recognized her since when you were both toddlers you spent a lot of time together"

"you even used to bath together" Vince laughs and I look at mom

"He is telling the truth. Her mom was my best friend. So it figures."

My mom looks sad and I decide to change the subject. Every time she talks about her best friend she always gets so sad I feel it. At the back of my mind i process what my mom said about my question. I make up my mind that it means nothing.

The last thing I need from my life right now is getting distractions from a girl I barely know.
