Moonstruck Wolf King

Eclaire's younger sister successfully summoned Graham Wolfenstein, the Wolf King from her favorite dungeon/system-themed novel, to the real world. Apparently, her sister wants to date Graham. But it only lasted for a while. One day, her little sister announced that she's no longer interested in Graham. Eclaire, afraid that the Wolf King might retaliate and hurt her sister if he finds out that he's about to be kicked out, decided to take responsibility for sending him back to the novel where he came from. But unbeknownst to Eclaire, Graham isn't planning to return to his world alone. She doesn't know that the Wolf King believes that she's the absolute 'Luna,' the existence that could potentially close the monster-infested dungeons of his chaotic world. *** ORIGINAL ART/BOOK COVER by CJ

BIG BAD WOLF

INSTINCT.

Eclaire would like to blame it on her instinct.

She grabbed Graham's hand and ran away from the crowd with him because every fiber of her being screamed that she should run. Well, they couldn't really run properly because of the crowd. So, it was more like they were walking really, really fast.

"Sorry!" Eclaire said as they bumped into the people around them. "Please let us through!"

The stench was following them, hence she walked faster even though she wanted to cry with every step she took.

Her body was naturally weak, and she had already reached her limit for today.

And yet, here she was, running with all her might.

But, despite the pain that she had to endure, she was still glad that the Lycan was following them.

[At least, I know Yeri and Jaehyun would be safe.]

"Noona, please excuse me."

Huh?

She was surprised when Graham suddenly pulled her by the hand.

When she stopped running, he carried her in his arms and continued running (while avoiding the people around them, at that) as if she didn't weigh at all.

[It's either I'm light or he's strong.]

It must be the latter.

"The stench is getting closer, Graham," Eclaire said while wrapping her arms around Graham's neck since he was moving faster and faster. She also buried her face in his chest because his nice scent soothed her nose and somehow block the stench that had been attacking her nose since earlier. "The Lycan is catching up with us quickly."

"Noona, do you know a place in this park with fewer people?" Graham asked. "We need to lure it somewhere away from the civilians."

"There's a Haunted House attraction that has been closed down due to an unfortunate incident," she said. "People avoid that place since it's said to be "cursed." But you're moving too fast so I can't see properly. I don't know how to point you to that place…"

"It's alright, noona," he assured her. "I've memorized the map of the entire theme park."

"Huh? You did?"

It was impressive.

Although she shouldn't have been surprised because it was mentioned in the "book" that Graham had a good memory.

"But why did you memorize the map?"

"Because noona mentioned earlier that Yeri got lost in the theme park once, and you're afraid that it might happen again," Graham said casually. "So, I memorized the map and all the landmarks, just in case. I would like to be helpful if something like that happens again."

It was probably because Graham believed that bad things happen to people around him because of his cursed luck.

[The book described how he would always blame himself for every mishap around him.]

Eclaire wanted to comfort Graham, so she hugged him tighter and gently patted his head. "Thank you for being reliable, Graham-ah."

[IT'S SO creepy here…]

The Haunted House attraction was in a separate building away from the main attractions of the theme park.

Graham had to knock out the guards that were in charge of the place.

So, right now, the place was practically an empty parking lot. Only the lampposts served as their source of light. She couldn't see well, but her other senses were heightened.

[The stench is nearby.]

Then, out of nowhere, she heard a chilling growl in front of them.

It sent a shiver down her spine.

Graham stood in front of her protectively.

Eclaire was nervous, though. Of course, she had faith in the future Wolf King. However, right now, Graham couldn't transform into a proper Wolf yet…

She scolded herself right away.

[My faith shouldn't waver easily.]

It was easier said than done, though.

When the Lycan finally stepped out of the darkness, she felt gutted.

[It looks straight out of a horror film!]

The Lycan was a beast with the head of a wolf, and a body of a man. It was skin and bones, but it had very long limbs that almost looked like tree roots.

And it was salivating from hunger.

Worse, the Lycan was looking at her with its glowing red eyes as if it finally found its prey.

[Oh, god…]

Eclaire could only shut her eyes tight when the Lycan growled and ran in their direction. "Graham, I believe in you!"
