Maxixe stood up and stepped into the path of Antwon the shifter, the shifter was much taller and broader than Maxixe but he did not seem the least bit intimidated.

"I suggest you look somewhere else young man, the lady here isn't available or remotely interested," suggested Maxixe calmly. 

Kaoma gasped. Her stomach was full and she wasn't expecting this.

Maxixe had not seemed like he had been paying Kaoma any mind at all.

He had not even sat down near her table, he had been keeping his distance the entire time so why interfere now when Antwon chose to start up a conversation with her.

Antwon wasn't so easily discouraged. 

Lady Kaoma was a beauty and he wanted to press his suit, who knows when another opportunity to speak with her would arise.

Obviously not familiar with the relationship between Kaoma and Maxixe after breakfast one of the shifters tried to start up a conversation with Kaoma.
