what seems like happiness

"you know it surprises me that you still resìde here, thought you would have gone back to Nigeria, where you would be happy"

"Samuel somethings aren't how the were thought or supposed to be , presently I think I love it here and I thank God ,that I never went home"

"Daniel something happened, that you aren't telling me, spill it now"

"never mind , just forget it, it's a long story " I replied him.

I had no strength to recall the past and its sad events, I knew telling my best friend Samuel ,about all that had happened to me in this past months was the right thing to do, but to remember was to relieve them and that would cost me tears , which I was seriously tired of shedding.

He kept on nagging me , awaiting a reply ,but I kept calm , giving him the "I don't mind your disturbance" kind of look.

"just quite it Sam, I ain't telling you nothing"

"so you still stand by your decision after all my disturbance "

"Yes bestie, I ain't gonna burge ".

He seemed annoyed after my refusal to share him any info , but I just knew the right medicine for him.

"do you wanna go eat out?" I asked him

I saw his face litt up in a matter of seconds , he immediately jumped off the sit , holding my hands and rushing towards the door but stopped mid way

"doest Mason not allow you go out without his permission? " He questioned.

"so like seriously that the only stuff , you are asking about?, what of keys or money, did you ask about those?, cause u literally dragged me here"

"Dan just answer my question"

"I thought I already did , when I told you stuffs had changed here"

"is it the stuffs , you refused telling me?"

"Don't play smart with me bro, I ain't still telling you nothing " I said while running up the stairs to go get my stuffs.

I got my stuffs and we left to go visit a restaurant, where we could eat. things got mixed up later on and we found ourselves in the mall and then a spa and back to another restaurant where we had dinner.

by the time we were done and got back home , it was already dark and late into the night.

"it's time I go , its already late" Sam said

" you and I know you are going nowhere. see how late it is and you said you wanna go home, man this is a house , which has many rooms, so your going nowhere".

"but what of Mason, won't he get angry?"

"I don't think he...." I was stopped mid way in my speech

"you could sleep over,I have no problem with that" Mason chipped in while coming down the stairs "

"ohh you're back , didn't know you were returning todat"

"do you ever know when I am returning?"

"well I don't and I don't wish tooo, but at least be decent and put on some clothes next time, you ain't the only one staying here"

"who else stays here?" He asked

"Hello, I'm human and I reside here" I replied him

"I don't think so, are you sure you're human?"

"Mason! " I screamed a little

"Hello ,forgive my manners and that of your animalistic friend , can I know your name?" He asked Samuel

Sam began stautaring while replying him , I was like querying my self , wasn't he the one that claimed no one scared him in this life , so why the shaky voice , or was is that Mason's physic was making him go mad?, Thought he was straight.

He began chatting with Mason and me being tired , wanted to go take a fresh bath and doze off.

"when you guys are done with your love talks , Mason might show you too your room , I need to go sleep, am tired"

"Ok bestie" Sam said

"wait , the dog is your bestie , seems you got bad taste " Mason chipped in again

"I don't have your time now Mason "

"well do animals ever have time?"he murmured

"remember sire , only animals get married to animals, so with that goodnight Mr animal"

"goodnight animal, but don't sleep till I come in , I want to discuss something with you"

"then come in fast sir, cause I do not control my sleeping time"

"I ain't joking, it's an oder if you must know" he spoke with a commanding voice.

I got scared for a minute and decided not to talk, so as not to show my fear but i soon got back myself when I closed the door to my room.

I quickly prepared a bath, in the bathtub and laid there with wine in my hand, I wanted to do it the foreigners style but as I expected, I finished the wine in a blink. I did put the cup down and got rested on the bath , soon I dozed off.

I was woken up by a tap on my shoulders, I looked up it was Mason.

"I'd I should call you an animal, you would become annoyed but what you did now , isn't that an animal kind of stuff?"

I glared at him "what did I do now , Mr animals husband, can't I just rest for a while?"

"you have been sleeping here for ages and you are saying a while?"

"well now , I would have to join you in your bath since you finished the hot water" Mason said

" but I thought I switched...." I ended my sentence mid way when I realized the tap was still running

"you thought what again? he said looking at me

I decided to step out of the bathtub, so he could take his bath , while I go clean up.

"can you swith on the light , so I could step out of the bathtub" I asked of him

I didn't actually remember switching the lights off too, what was wrong with me I did not know.

He switched on the lights and immediately my mouth dropped

he was stark naked in front of me , I gulped at seeing how sexy he looked , it seems he had some extra workout done. he Abbs, chest ,muscles and butt all seemed perfectly defined and his member was rock hard. I kept on staring and savouring the view.

"are you done staring" he asked looking up from his phone

I was jolted back a little and scrambled trying to get on my feet

"And where are you going to?" He asked

"to go sleep of course" I replied him

"you are not going anywhere, I said I wanted to join you not bath after you, after all I said we needed to talk"

I ignored him and made my way to the door , I tried to open it but it was locked . I turned towards him

"Mason the keys"

"let go bath, after that I would bring it forth from where it is and trust me even if you look for it , you wouldn't find it"

I decided not to waste my time looking for it and sat at the position he was sitting at before , while he sat in the bath.

"can you start talking , I need to go sleep"

"come and sit in between my ties if you want us to talk , so you could go sleep "

"I don't wish to , especially not with your hard on"

"I think am not the only one with "a hard on" , well if you say so , you can as well plan to sleep here"

I didn't concur for a while but when I saw he wasn't bugging, I decide to go in.

he first redressed himself and I entered sitting between him, after settling down , he pushed me to rest on his muscular chest, while I felt his breath on my neck region.

After few minutes we began talking

"how have you been lately?" He asked

I kept mute cause I was dumbfounded, he had never asked me about how I was faring before

"can you answer me , I want to tell you something important and I need your replies" his voice was shaky and that was weird.

"am fine, Mason what's wrong?"

"nothing, just I felt I should let you in on something "

"what's that?"

"Ok, its about my past. since you reside here with me and you are married to me , I felt I should let you know"

I felt his hard on come down, wow, this must be serious

"am sorry for the manner I have been treating you, I know ot was bad of me but I really don't know how to treat people, cause I have never been treated well or shown , how to treat people well"

he told me how his father was the dictator kind and treated him in an ill mannered way, all in the name of making him a man and how he was bullied in school.

tears began falling down my cheeks , for the first time I saw tears drop from his eyes too.

"I acted like this because I wanted a wall between me and people, so that the couldn't hurt me anymore, but I realised I had just become like the man and people I hated , am sorry" he said

I turned to hold him but he stopped me and asked me stay still till he was done.

"I always wanted to love and fill loved but never got the chance too or sorry I couldn't",

"I know am not caring and I don't think I can , ever be but I want to be , I want to be happy and live a love filled life , something I never had, please can you show me what love means, I want to know how it fills "

I heard his sobs, I couldn't hold myself again, I turned towards him and hugged him and told him I would try tooo, I was soo sorry for him but got dumbfounded by what he said next, I didn't expect it and don't know why my heart dis leap

"can you love me ? I...love you Dan " he whispered into my ears and hugged me Titley.
