It was blurry and bright and everything seemed to be in white , that was the situation of things as I regain my consciousness

"Is it finally over " I said to myself

But then there came a beeping sound and visions of people running around, and the more my body awoke , the more the noises seemed to increase. At first it was simply noises and burry visions of moving persons but soon i could understand where I was, I was in a hospital , the beeping sound was being made by the heart monitor system and those walking and running around were doctors and nurses.

"He's alive" I heard someone speak and feeling weak once again , I slowly slipped back into my unconscious state, hoping not to be alive when next I open my eyes.

"Hello" I heard when next I opened my eyes with a touch flashing directly into my eyeballs.

"I thinks he is awake now " said the man standing in front of me

"Can you respond ?" he continued

I tried talking but it seemed so hard at , first and having a dry troath , I couldn't produce any words.

"Hello" I finally let out a word after trying so hard

"He has finally come around " the man standing before me declared to the one beside him

"Please where am I?"

"That's not important now , just take your rest and a few checkups would be conducted on you soon to ascertain your condition" the doctor said and finally ended his words with "Mr Michael please follow me to my office " and he walked out with the person he asked to follow him.

I became scared the minute I heard the doctor ask a person to follow him

"Could that be Mason?" I asked myself

"No that can't be " I tried comforting myself "but he could have changed his name or something like that, in order not to create some sort of issues " my fears increased

If only everything wasn't blurry a few minutes ago , I would have known, I was so confused and didn't know what to do and what not to do and with the weakness my body was presently feeling I decided to live it up to fate.

"Hello" someone with a female voice approached me

"So , I would be conducting some body checks on you to add to the ones already done to know exactly what could be wrong and also to know when you would be good to go, incase you feel discomfort at any point in time , please inform me"

"Ok" I faintly replied

She did her check ups , which some required me to move from time to time and then she got to a point when she said she needed to ask me few questions.

"So sir, can I know your name ?"

"Daniel"

"Daniel who?"

"I don't know , can't remember " I lied

"But you just , do not mind , let's continue "

"What's your age?"

"I don't know miss, I can't recall " l lied again

"But you just said your name now , how couldn't you remember your age"

"Sorry miss, but I remembered being called that but I can't remember who or why , so I said that"

"Can you remember anything else ?"

"No except laughing faces of kids playing and a scene of me in tears inside a room" I continued my lies

"Mhh, you are fine in other stuffs except, you might me having partial amnesia"

"What's that miss?" I asked

"You, might be in loss of few memories pertaining your past, but that's OK, with time you are likely to remember "

"Ok miss"

"Ok, I'm done here for now , you have to take your rest , would be back shortly "

"Ok, miss" I said before she left

Although I made the mistake of saying my name , I think it was right to do. I don't know if that man was Mason but either way I think I would still lie about loosing my memory, it was better and safer. If he happens to be Mason then I can escape due to he would let his guards down , if he isn't, then this is my ticket to living a new life and then I closed back my eyelids to continue resting.

"Hello" I heard as I was tapped on to wake up

"Hello" I responded to the middle aged man standing before me , since now I could see properly

"You're Mr Daniel Right?"

"Yes sir"

"And you have a case of partial amnesia "

"That's what the lady who came before said "

"Ok, so in that case , you would have to go with sir Micheal, the man who found you by the river bank , since he is wheeling to take you and you have fully recovered, is that okay by you?"

"Sorry sir but I don't know any Mr Micheal, so can't decide yet"

"Ooh no worries, he would be here soon"

Few seconds after he was done with speaking and continued his check up , a man walked in , he was chocolate in complexion, tall, with a lined jaw ,handsome, with broad shoulders, seemed he wa the muscular type and from the way he appeared, he seemed rich and had a commanding personality. He walked close to me offering me his hands , for a handshake and immediately the scent of his rich colone did hit my nostrils.

"Hello, I'm Michael " he spoke with his deep baritone voice, that sent chills to my spine

"Ooh you are the sir Micheal " I said taking his hands

At first he chuckled before he spoke "no need for the sir, you could just call me Micheal "

"Thank you sir , sorry Micheal for rescuing me and wheeling to take me home with you "

"Ooh that , no its nothing , I saved you and since you were diagnosed with amnesia, it should be my responsibility to take care of you till you get better "

"Thank you sir , sorry Micheal "

He laughed " it's OK, I get , I look like a father but I'm actually just 30 years old"

"Ok, you are still young "

"I doubt that. Well from the few stuffs of yours I was able to gather from where I saw you , I would be arranging your international passport and by weekend we should be flying to where I base "

"Where is that sir"

"Outside this country, that is California to be precise "

"Ooh" I said "thankGod , I would be going away from Mason's reach " I said to myself

"Do you know there?"

"No , I don't, can't actually remember if I have been there before"

"Ooh, no worries, I understand, just take your rest, would be back soon with the documents you need to sign "

"Ok. But sir " I wanted to ask about Raphael but remembered I was faining amnesia and remembering the promise I made to him and marry when the asked me to make sure I live a good and happy life

"What is that?"

"Nothing sir , just thought I remembered something, but I have forgotten it"

"Don't worry yourself that much, your memories would come back with time"

"Ok sir "

Then he left.

When the next nurse came by, I made sure to enquire if anyone was found by me but she said there was non. Many questions ran through my mind but all I prayed and wished for was that Raphael would be alive but if he wasn't, that his soul would rest in perfect peace.

The next day some documents were brought to me in regards to my passport and after getting done with them, the were taken back. By Friday I was discharged and by weekend, I was on a plane to california.

I was happily going away , although I had many memories, I was still happy leaving this country, I hope to never see the faces of the people I left here for and to my loved ones who dies here , I wished them farewell, until when next I return to bid them farewell, Hooe the keep on resting.
