Mob's Remuneration

I found myself possessing one of the many disposable NPCs in a popular dark fantasy game and ended up being saved by my favorite character. Naturally, I had to repay her. How did things end up like this? [Emergency System Activation: You have entered Lunatic Mode. ] [Error]: The player has prevented any possibility of Ingrid’s destined demise. This will alter the scenario dramatically. [Chance of Bad Ending]: 44% to 99.8% [Probability of unavoidable death]: 36% to 93% [Likelihood of protagonist stopping the Demon Lord’s advent]: 60% to 2% [Estimated Time Remaining Before ------ Appears]: 21:39:05 [Main Quest Update]: Correct the plot. Please give up on the tragic heroine. All I wanted was for her to be happy. Author's Note- [This is my first time writing something to the masses! Any feedback will be greatly appreciated! I'll be a human punching bag if that means I can gain valuable criticism! As for any other things I have to say... well just don't expect frequent (consistent) updates. That is if anyone does read this at all. ]

Rude Awakening (1)

I fall.

I continue to fall.

It's almost as if my very being has no other purpose.

Then to fall.

This feeling of weightlessness. The act of falling becomes engraved.

Not onto my body. I had lost that when this sensation took hold of my consciousness.

The thought of falling is imprinted into my mind. Screaming.

Louder and louder.

Until I can no longer think of anything else besides dropping further and further.

At last, my mind was no longer there.

All remaining thought ceased.

Yet even with my vegetative mind, I could still perceive it.

That I had been falling into something.

No.

Someone.

Suddenly, sparks ignite.

An engine was set into motion.

It croaked and howled.

My numb mind is torn apart into smithereens.

I am stirred into soup. Warped beyond comprehension.

And I am tossed into the engine's tank like makeshift fuel.

It coughs rejecting the impure material.

My thinking returns. Like a machine, I begin starting up.

As sensation returns, I become aware of what should be my body.

But there is a delay. I am still paralyzed.

Then I feel myself moving.

Just when I do that, I am set ablaze.

My mind is assaulted by bursting pain. Spreading all throughout me like electricity.

The distinct sound of frying rings all across my consciousness.

The engine roars. It cracks due to my presence being insufficient for its needs.

But it continues howling. Regardless of the damage it is sustaining.

Right when it is on the verge of completely shattering into pieces, it clicks.

Finally, my will has taken over.

I grip the corner of my bed like I usually do when I wake up. It feels harder than usual. I stretch out my arms, but I can barely manage to keep them up. I guess I must've played too much last night. When my eyes open,

I see a creature's mouth engulfing my sight. Its teeth are enormous, comparable to those you would see on a dinosaur's skeleton in a museum.

"AHAHAHAHSHH WHAT THE FUCKKKK?!?!?!?!?!" I screamed as loud as my lungs could permit me.

Before the beast could clamp down onto my skull, a sharp point of metal pierces through the center of the gaping maw.

It was bizarre. No blood is spilled. The sharp metal flings the beast aside. Taking a closer look, the beast was a gigantic wolf that was even larger than a bear.

But that wasn't the most jarring thing.

A woman adorned with silver armor laid in front of my eyes. A spear in her hands, and a thin platinum cross hung on her neck lying quite comfortably between her ample breasts. She was absolutely stunning. Her golden hair fluttered and shone beautifully amidst the sun's rays. Despite her body being somewhat covered by armor and a black bodysuit underneath, it couldn't conceal the woman's sensual figure rather her attire only highlighted it. The thin fabric of the bodysuit revealed her fair and dainty skin. It seemed so pure and soft almost like nothing had ever graced it before. It also displayed her toned body brilliantly. Her thighs were perfectly oval-shaped, and allowed for a gorgeous hourglass frame that put most models to shame. To top it all off, her face was exceptionally well-proportioned as if someone assembled it for her at birth.

She seemed to be straight out of an illustration from a web novel. A paladin from the likes of Dungeons and Dragons. Someone that doesn't truly exist in reality. Yes, this person shouldn't be here. My mind tried to deny her existence clinging to modern reason. This must be a dream. After all, there is no way a drop-dead gorgeous beauty can just dispatch a mutant wolf with one stab of her spear. In fact, what woman in the 21st century would even have such a thing?

I was about to smack myself and get out of this weird dream, but I couldn't bring myself to do so. It was like I was in a trance. I could only stare at her crimson-red eyes that were as dark as blood, and merely sat in awe. The woman's expression shifted from a blank one into a gentle and warm smile. And she reached her hand out to mine.

"I'm glad I made it in time. Are you hurt?"

Her voice was euphoric. A calm and serene melody that gracefully resonated in my eardrums that should've left my mind at ease, but it sent me into a mental panic.

No fucking way. It's Ingrid.

She takes my hand and pulls me up. She makes her signature picturesque expression. One of complete joy and relief. Complimenting her crimson-eyes wonderfully. Snapping my mind awake. Allowing me to make a horrifying realization.

Don't tell me.

"I'm in ASH REAVERRRRR?!?!?!!?!?!!!!"

For the second time today, he lost his mind but he wouldn't know that.

Are these chapters too long? And is my writing any awkward in any way? Welp, I will be waiting for you readers to answer my questions. (But it looks like I won't even get a single reader anytime soon which is okay since I am still motivated to write!!! Even if it is for my own amusement!)
