MMORPG: Rebirth Of The Strongest Mage

Everdawn. It was a game that was released to the public in 2025. What made it a hit was that it was the first-ever V.R.M.M.O.R.P.G released to the public. In no time it became the best game in the world. Soon people started to create things called “guilds”. These guilds were like the teams in E-Sports. However, they were more like companies. This was thanks to the game's “money” feature where you could trade in-game money for IRL cash. Elias Thorne was one of the greatest players in Everdawn. With his skills, he was able to be a part of the Valhalla guild however, fearing his power the guild kicked him out but not before stealing his account. However, out of pettiness, they gave him a small item that he had received from one of his first quests. But the next thing he knew he was back in time 14 years before Everdawn was released. With his newfound knowledge of the future, he was going to rise to the top and get revenge on those who betrayed him.

Hidden Dungeon (1)

I looked around at the people who looked starved. However, I ignored them and held the silver staff in my hand. As I kept walking I then felt someone tug on my cloak.

"Excuse me, young man," turning behind I saw an old man who had grabbed my shirt.

"Can I help you?" I asked

"Is that silver?"

I nodded "Indeed I heard that there were some werewolves around these parts,"

This quest was something that was discovered a year later in the library of this city. A player was looking through the records looking for the clues of an event that was happening. This led to the player finding something strange about the town.

There was a certain NPC knight that resided and he was powerful however, he was then kicked out of the town guard. Out of curiosity, the player tried to find the NPC as the event was something that could use all hands.

But considering people were around level 18 at the time they had some good equipment. The player coincidentally had a silver sword which triggered the event.

The mayor of this city was a werewolf.

However, considering werewolves were considered monsters he could be executed on the spot. The knight was able to figure out that the mayor was a werewolf but was kicked out of the town guard due to everyone thinking he was just making stuff up.

The old man's eyes flashed "Well there is one,"

My eyes widened "Really? Where?"

"The mayor,"

Hearing that I flinched "Are you sure mister?"

"Indeed, I was once-"

I proceeded to ignore his story which just summoned up to him seeing the mayor turn back into a human after slaughtering a family.

After looking at the quest panel a smile formed on my lips "alright then, I shall do what needs to be done,"

I then walked away from the slum and tried to remember where I could get the first clue. It was located in a secret passage that was somewhere in the city. Well, there were actually many secret passageways here in this city.

But all of them lead to one palace and that was the Mayor's office where the second clue was.

I walked around the town until I made it to an edge where I found an alley. Looking around the area I then noticed a brick that seemed unusual and touched it. As I did it sunk in and a giant wall started to pull up.

*RUMBLE*

"And Jackpot"

Entering the giant tunnel I quickly used my spell flame forge a little bit to light up the area. As I walked in the area I then noticed some claw marks on the wall. Running my hand over the scars a window appeared in front of me.

Smiling I then continued to walk until I saw 2 pathways that diverged. Looking at the map I then took the right path. A few more divergents later I made it to a long hallway. Soon, however, I saw the light and I started to run.

As I approached I realized that they were actually peeping holes.

I then started to peek and see what was going on.

What I was currently looking at was an office. There was a chair, a desk filled with paperwork, and a bunch of other things.

After seeing that there wasn't anybody there I opened the secret passage and entered the office. I quickly approached the desk and rifled through the drawers to find a journal.

"Bingo!"

Putting the journal in my inventory I then went back through the secret passage.

After making it out of the city I then pinged a spot on the map. Another pillar appeared near the forest allowing me to follow it into the forest. However, as I was walking into the forest I turned behind me to see three arrows heading toward me.

Ducking under the arrows I watched as they were imbedded into the tree behind me. Looking in front of me I saw a slightly more buff goblin than the regular goblins from the beginner town..

With a sigh I started to continue and went deeper into the forest. However, I then made it to a cliff.

I started to tap the cliff but quickly moved out of the way as a giant claw mark appeared on the place I was standing.

A bunch of wolves appeared that were much bigger than the ones in the beginner town. With a sigh, I pointed my magic staff at them.

I then used [Magic Barrier] Blocking the 2 wolves who were coming at me from the front. But I quickly activated the spell [Flameforge] as I turned. The tip of my staff started to spit out flames before it took the shape of a blade. The blade of flames then cleanly split through the wolf.

[You've killed [Dire Wolf lvl 14]!]

Looking at the 2 others I activated [Fire Blast].

*BOOM*

Sadly I wasn't able to kill them instead they ran off.

However, I merely shrugged and checked my status window again,

I continued to explore the walls until one of my hands had phased through.

After the quest was complete the player had found a place where a hidden dungeon was. But what was special about this dungeon was that there was a scent crystal on it. This meant the dungeon would reset if you didn't take the crystal.

Of course, the monsters would be different each time so you couldn't use the same technique again.

But this was also where I could obtain the third clue.

Smiling I started to enter the dungeon causing a bunch of notifications to appear.

-Ding

[You've found a hidden dungeon]

-Ding

[You've entered the hidden dungeon [The Howling Caves]!]

I looked around the cave but I couldn't really see anything special about it like most dungeons.

However, after a little bit, I heard a growl and saw three human-like wolves coming toward me.

[Feral Kobold lvl 12]

[Feral Kobold lvl 14]

[Feral Kobold lvl 12]

"Grrr,"

With a sigh, I aimed my staff "Let's dance assholes!"

*BOOM*

[You've killed [Feral Kobold lvl 12]!]

[+301 EXP]

Smoke filled the area in front of me before 2 kobolds came charging out. I quickly activated [Flameforge]. Flames spewed from my staff before they converged and condensed into a blade of flames. As the kobolds leaped toward me I swung my staff. I decapitated the first one before another bit my shoulder.

[You've killed [Feral Kobold lvl 12]!]

[+314 EXP]

[You leveled up!]

"Argh!"

[-34 HP]

Pointing my staff at its stomach I used [Fireblast].

*BOOM*

[You've killed [Feral Kobold lvl 14]!]

[+340 EXP]

Just as I was catching my breath while rubbing my shoulder I heard more growls coming ahead.

"Well, shit,"
