A New Path

Flavia and Quintus didn't join Juli for lunch. Both were busy, unlike Juli.

Juli tried her best to think of a solution but how much she could learn about this world in three days? It was her official third day in this world. Now, she had only twenty-seven days left before repeating this cycle again.

"Think about something. My genius brain why are you not working now? You are the same brain; I had used to win the competitions. I always had full marks on my exams as well. Now, what is the issue?", Juli was screaming.

It was obvious that the main reason was the gap in her knowledge about this world and the little knowledge about Flavia's past and her nature.

"These kids are very cunning. But what would have happened after Flavia's death? What was the Quintus reaction? I want to know everything.", Juli thought.

"Now, let's read about Prince Eros. His name is like a prince charming.", Juli said.

"Eros means god of love.", Juli read. "Oh. it sounds so romantic. He will be a perfect match for our Flavia. I hope. He has a loving nature. Now, you are my only hope. Eros. My prince Eros.", Juli was saying with amusement.

"So, you have already given your heart to Prince Eros, and you have developed a one-sided love for him.", Flavia said after hearing the last sentence only.

"She had not heard the first line or Is she purposely ignoring it?", Juli thought.

"I was thinking he would be a perfect match for you, and I'm not interested in younger guys. He is only twenty years old. I prefer the guys in their thirties and the guys in their forties wouldn't hurt me either.", Juli declared.

Guys in their thirties and forties?? You have a peculiar taste in men. You will only find the widower fathers in their thirties and forties. You can't find any bachelor man in their thirties here.", Flavia responded.

"Hmm... It's fine. I'll have a sugar daddy. Speaking of which How old is your father?", Juli asked.

"Our mother is still alive, and I can't allow you to do anything ridiculous while you're inside Livia's body.", Flavia warned her.

"So, I can do anything when I'm not in Livia's body.", Juli asked innocently.

"You want to die early. Do you?", Flavia announced.

"I'm already dead. How can you kill me again?", Juli questioned.

"I will not kill you. My mother and the wife of my father will do. She is a queen and a war butcher.", Flavia responded calmly.

"I was joking. No need to kill me. Just tell me what you think about Prince Eros.", Juli asked while accepting her defeat.

"Why are you asking?", Flavia inquired.

"First, tell me what you think about him?", Juli asked again.

"We were friends for a while. When he came here. We were pen pals for three years. We still exchange letters sometimes.", Flavia answered.

"I'm not asking you what type of relationship you have with him. I want to know what you think about him.", Juli asked while taking long breaths.

"He is a wise prince and good fellow as well. I'm sure he will be a great emperor.", Flavia responded.

Juli was happy that Flavia had positive remarks about Prince. She also remembered the conversation she had with Flavia about Lucius and Flavia had told her that he was an average boring musclehead guy with no sense of politics. The only good thing about him was the sense of responsibility but now he was not responsible anymore in Flavia's eyes.

"So, do you like Prince Eros?", Juli questioned.

"Yes, I do.", Flavia responded casually.

Juli ran toward the study room where Quintus was working. "You know what Flavia liked Prince Eros and now we have a perfect substitute husband to replace Lucius.", Juli announced.

Flavia was also following Juli. She grabbed the neck of Juli and said, "I didn't say that I like him as a man. Stop spreading false news."

"The point is that you like him, and he is far more superior than that Lucius. Consider him.", Juli tried to convince her.

"Who had told you about Prince Eros?", Flavia said disgustingly. Quintus tried to ignore Flavia's question. Juli pointed her finger toward Quintus.

"Huh... So, what if he is perfect? There is no guarantee that he will be able to come here on this short notice. Even though if he will come. What is the surety that he will agree to marry me.", Flavia asked them.

"Should we consider it as a yes from your side Flavia?", Juli said.

"Prince is coming in five days with our parents Flavia. What do you think could be the reason?", Quintus questioned.

"You guys must be joking.", Flavia responded. Quintus handed her the letter. Flavia was still for a few moments.

"What is this happening.", Flavia said while shocking her head.

"This is the love signal sweetheart. It is a new way for you to discover the love.", Juli said.

"Oh, the irony! Coming from someone who has no experience in love at all.", Flavia said sarcastically.

Juli clammed up faster than a clamp. "These youngsters have no respect for their elders.", she thought without realizing that it was her own mistake to provoke Flavia.

Quintus steered the ship through choppy waters. He said, "Flavia, what do you think could be the other reason for their visit?"

"To attend my wedding.", Flavia counterattacked.

"You already know that father had asked me about Lucius and Domitia. You are already familiar with the fact that our parents had never accepted Lucius. Eros was always first choice of them.", Quintus retaliated successfully.

Juli was enjoying the show. She learned the new fact that Flavia and her whole family were already aware of Lucius's cheating, but they didn't give him any priority. Only Livia was an idiot and imprudent.

"Still, it doesn't justify that Eros is coming to marry me. And I need to think about it as well. I don't want to be a political pawn anymore. The decision to marry is entirely up to me.", Flavia declared and won the match.

Juli and Quintus took the L. and gracefully bowed in front of Flavia.
