Chapter 1: Sold.

I guess, love is a funny feeling. I think it's ridiculous but I understand it somehow, The only person I have ever loved was my mother, my dad was a gambling addict and a drunkard. He enjoyed abusing my mother and they often had arguments.

In my own perspective, I learned to deal with the pain and suffer alone. Everyday was the usual, He came home late and drunk while my mom scolded him, but this day was more different, There were strange men in suits in the house when I came back home.

My dad looked guilty and his eyes filled with shame and disgust. I was confused and looked at him.

"What's this? What's going on?"

"Kid, your father lost a bet and sold you to someone." One of the men in suits said.

My mother went in the room as she had heard everything. "What? Jay is this true..?" She said with disbelief, hiding her pure rage.

"I.. I'm sorry." He apologized, he couldn't hold in his tears, he was filled with humiliation.

I was confused and I tried running away but the men caught me. "Let's go." They dragged me to the car.

"No! No.. Please. Let me go! I can't!" They ignored my pleas, I was frozen, I was confused as to how he could do this to me. It was disgusting and ridiculous.

The way to the house was silent and filled with awkward tension. I looked at the car window the whole time, contemplating my decisions.

Until, one of them finally spoke up.

"Her name is Yun Ri. She knows all about you, and she owns a massive company." He said. "You have to marry her in a few weeks so you can get to know her. "Don't get on her nerves though." He warned. I rolled my eyes.

I mean, She can't be that bad can she?
