Let's Get a Divorce!

Julia immediately took off the coat that Ford gave and returned it to him, "I'm not cold."

Ford grabbed her wrist again and went on seriously, "Come here. I need to talk to you."

"I don't want to." Julia's eyes sparkled like the rippled pool in the sun. She obstinately looked at him without making any move.

With a straight face, Ford used his strength to pull her and walked towards his car.

Mark rushed forward and grabbed Julia's forearm with an impenetrable smile, "She doesn't want to go."

Though he felt unhappy, Ford squinted at Mark with a smile and said, "It's none of your business. We're married."

Mark pretended to be obedient and chuckled softly, "Your relationship could justify yourself in being rude to her?"

"Don't you have anything better to do?" Ford's eyes were like a penetrating light in the darkness. They were cold and oppressive.

The Ainsworths and the Lewises were close friends. Ford has always been able to maintain the most superficial amity. Now he was really angry. "I'd like to help call uncle Miller to take you back."

Julia was furious. They shouldn't drag Mark into their own problems. He was innocent.

Julia took Mark's hand away and comforted him, "It's fine. I also have something to tell him. You can go back first."

Mark curved his lips and smiled warmly, "I'll wait for you."

"You go back first. I—..."

Ford couldn't stand with this any more. He directly pulled Julia to the front of the car, pushing her into the passenger seat. The foresighted driver got off the car instantly to make way for Ford.

After getting into the car, Ford leaned towards Julia without saying a word. His shadow covered Julia's entire body. She subconsciously shrank back, wanting to dodge.

Ford glanced at her and then fastened her seat belt. He said coldly, "What did you expect me to do?"

Julia was nonchalant. She took a deep breath and said, "You're going——"

Before she could finish speaking, the car had already started. Ford was driving so fast that the car roared along like lightning.

Mark squinted at their car and pulled the driver off his car, intending to chase after them. His butler desperately stopped him and said, "Mr. Lewis. Did you forget that you can't drive!"

Mark had an extremely serious traffic accident abroad. Seventy—two steel nails had been implanted into his body and none of them was taken out yet.

The psychiatrist suggested that it would be better for him not to drive any more.

"Go away." Mark grabbed the butler by the back of his neck and threw him to the ground. His pale and handsome face looked so horrible.

The butler had no choice but to clench his teeth and sit up in the passenger seat. His seat belt was fastened tightly.

"Get off." Mark had already lost his patience. He didn't need to hide himself now that no one else was around.

The butler shook his head, looked unflinchingly, "I have to look after you, Mr. Lewis." Unfortunately, he had no choice to use his martial arts. It was likely that he would die on the road.

With a chilling smile on his pale face, the youth looked like a bloodthirsty demon in the evening gloom.

"Stay if you wanna die."

Mark's eyes were cold as he looked ahead and heavily stepped on the gas.

The car sped through the road in the darkness. It was not too much to say that it was on a rampage. The butler felt that he was sitting on a plane which was about to take off along the runway.

Fortunately, there weren't many people on the highway. The steering wheel was freely controlled by Mark, as if it could be pulled out if he wanted.

Mark had always been ruthless, but he was good at concealing it. He could change between good and evil freely in an instant without being detected.

The butler had never seen whoever provoked him ended well.

However, the Ainsworths was not someone that they could provoke. Let alone their intricate background, even Ford Ainsworth himself was unfathomable. Why does Mr. Lewis had to choose him as his target?

The butler was extremely nervous. His mind was in a turmoil under the pressure.

If something bad happened to Mr. Lewis, he would not survive as well. Why not stay with him? At worst, he would die together with him. Perhaps the old Lewis would pity him for his loyalty and take care of his family.

.....

The moon was obscured by dark clouds. The sky was like a black blanket.

Ford had seen Mark's car since he followed them. He immediately stepped heavily on the gas. The car suddenly speeded up, as if it was about to fly.

Julia had eaten too much for dinner, so she felt very uncomfortable.

Her face turned pale. She felt dizzy and wanted to vomit.

She gripped her seat belt tightly and gritted her teeth, "Stop! Ford, stop!"

The man pursed his lips tightly and looked ahead. He didn't say a word and concentrated on getting rid of the car behind him.

The car continued to run at lightning speed. Just as Julia thought that she was going to black out, the brake was pulled!

It stopped.

Julia unbuckled her seat belt with her hands trembling, wanting to get off.

Fuck him!

He might wanna die, but she did not!

He wouldn't die easily no matter how hard he tried, but she was different. She didn't want to die yet.

However, the car door was locked so she failed to open it.

As she tried hard to open the door, Ford was looking at her indifferently. He leaned against the back of the chair as if he was enjoying a play.

Julia turned her head. Ford's slender fingers curled up and slowly knocked on the golden frame of the car door rhythmically.

Under the cold light, his white hands had a special sense of beauty.

Inside the dim carriage, the man's face was in semidarkness. You could tell he must be very dangerous from his cold and evil look.

The atmosphere was so oppressive that it felt like a volcano nearby was going to erupt.

Ford stopped knocking. His wrist rested on the window. His voice was charming and peaceful, "When will you stop being mad?"

Julia was fuming. She turned her head away and said, "I was not."

Ford frowned and said tiredly, "Then let's go home."

Go home? Go back and accepted that damn fate?

Cold wind was blowing outside the window and piled up the dried leaves on the ground. Her emotion was accumulated bit by bit in the same way.

"Let's get a divorce!"

After a while, Ford laughed and said, "You just said you were not mad."

Julia said calmly, "Even if you refuse to sign that piece of paper, we will still get divorced after two years. Why should we wait until then?"

The air seemed to be frozen instantly.

Ford angrily warned her in a low voice, "Julia, think about it before you say anything."

Julia nodded and said seriously, "I've thought it through. I don't want to wait any more."

It would be a torture for her to wait for being asked to get divorced.

Ignoring the small sadness in her heart, Julia felt even more relieved when she said what she had been thinking about for a long time.

She admitted that she was timid and selfish she just wanted to protect herself.

She was afraid that her heart would be torn apart. She didn't want that to happen again.

Now that they were going to broke up anyway, it was better to preserve some dignity and her final pride.

Ford gritted his teeth fiercely and grimly said, "Very good."
