Chapter 7 Capturing a Magical Beast part 2

After clicking the 'Yes' button in front of him, Wayne suddenly felt a strong gravity force pulling him towards the gray-colored portal in the center of the building.

"What's happening?" Wayne asked in panic while trying his best to not get pulled towards the portal. He quickly grabbed on the glass revolving door behind him.

[Don't fight back, the Wind Dimension Portal is simply going to teleport you to the Wind Dimension.]

"The Wind Dimension?" Wayne curiously asked, still not planning to let go of his hands. He's not really a cautious person, but this concerns both his safety and life.

[The place where that Wind Song Parrot could be found.]

"Oh, okay..." Wayne nodded his head in understanding as he then finally let go of his hand.

Whooooosh!

Wayne went inside the Wind Dimension Portal. The scene around him quickly changed from the Wind Dimensional Building from before to a vortex in space. He's currently traveling in this vortex towards what he could easily guess was the so-called Wind Dimension that Gaia had mentioned just now.

Although Wayne doesn't know yet what exactly is the Wind Dimension, he really doesn't have any choice but to go there if he wants to make the Wind Dimension stop pulling him.

Moreover, only by completing this new mission could he proceed to the next mission and finally have the answer to his question.

And besides, he doubts that the Wind Dimension would simply continue pulling him with such a weak pulling force. So, before it used a powerful pulling force, it's much better to just voluntarily jump inside so that there won't be any unexpected or unnecessary accident once he arrives at the Wind Dimension.

The scene in front of Wayne suddenly turned dark. The moment he opened his eyes again, he found himself surrounded by even more trees once again.

However, this time, the trees are very different from what he had found before in the Mischievous God Zoo. The trees are a lot denser, with vines and a lot of bushes on the ground. It was also a bit wet, indicating that there was rain in this place.

Moreover, the wind in this place is a lot colder and fiercer compared to the calm and gentle wind he had felt before at the Mischievous God Zoo. It might even be possible for the wind to wound him if he gets careless.

And what's even more different is, there are sounds of some animals... No, to be more precise, some supposedly insect species of Magical Beast sounds could be heard around the surrounding.

Suddenly, on Wayne's right side, the orange panel appeared with the words, Magical Beasts.

Clicking on a panel with the word Magical Beasts, it right after expanded to show to him a box picture of his Wind Salamander.

Easily guessing the purpose of this Magical Beasts panel, he didn't hesitate to click on the box picture of the Wind Salamander.

Whooooosh!

In the next moment, the small Wind Salamander appeared in front of him, seemingly out of nowhere.

The Wind Salamander quickly began looking around its surroundings, as if trying to register on its mind where it was right now. But as soon as it noticed Wayne standing behind it while looking in its direction, it quickly stopped on its action as it right after moves straight towards him and soon after climbed on his body until finally arriving on his shoulder. After feeling safe and secure, it then continued surveying its surroundings once again.

Meanwhile, Wayne was feeling a bit of disbelief at the Wind Salamander's action. He said, "Shouldn't you be protecting me, not the other way around?"

Hearing Wayne's words, the Wind Salamander looked at him before tilting its head on the side, as if telling him that it doesn't understand why he should do such a thing.

Wayne can't help putting his hand on his forehead while shaking his head and saying, "Did I perhaps choose the wrong Magical Beasts?"

Whoooosh!

Suddenly, Wayne's thoughts were disrupted as he heard a sound above him. As soon as he looked up, he immediately saw the Wind Song Parrot flying towards a branch of another tree.

"No, I should worry about this problem later," Wayne said before quickly following after the Wind Song Parrot.

Soon after, he arrived a few tens or so of meters away from the Wind Song Parrot, Wayne then decided to hide behind the bush. Next, he quietly observed the Wind Song Parrot that was currently eating a purple-colored fruit that it had picked using its small beak from the tree it has landed on.

"Now then, what should I do?" Wayne asked.

Fortunately, Gaia didn't disappear and left him all alone in this place as it patiently replied, [You battle with the Wind Song Parrot using your Wind Salamander. Once it's weakened enough, the Wind Dimensional Building would then automatically capture it for you, which marks the end of this mission.]

"Okay," Wayne nodded his head before turning around to look at the Wind Salamander on his shoulder. As soon as he saw its face, he can't help feeling doubtful whether this little guy here could actually defeat the Wind Song Parrot. After all, this guy doesn't have the look of a powerful Magical Beast on it at all. In his opinion, it's much better to allow it to join something similar to an animal show, or in this world, it should be called a Magical Beasts' show.

[Both Magical Beasts are only Level 1, thus their strength can be considered the same. Also, don't underestimate the Wind Salamander. To tell you the truth, despite how innocent and beautiful it looks, it actually has the strength enough to kill you right now.]

Gulp!

Wayne can't help gulping a mouthful of saliva after hearing Gaia's warning. This came as a sudden surprise to him. He really didn't expect that a Level 1 Magical Beasts is actually enough to kill him.

"Wait, if this Wind Salamander here can kill me, then does that mean the Wind Song Parrot could also kill me?" Wayne quickly asked while sweating profusely in fear.

[Yes, so I recommend you to exercise extreme cautiousness.]

"Little guy, you heard what Gaia had said, right?" Wayne said to the Wind Salamander before pointing it in the direction of the Wind Song Parrot before continuing, "So, how about you battle that Wind Song Parrot for me?"

Contrary to what Wayne was expecting the Wind Salamander would do though, the little guy actually shook its head as if telling him that it doesn't want to fight the Wind Song Parrot.

"What? You don't want to fight?" Wayne nervously asked.

The Wind Salamander nodded its head in response.

"This..." Wayne was immediately dumbfounded. If the Wind Salamander doesn't want to fight, then how would he defeat that Wind Song Parrot?

[Please remember, Wayne Anderson, this is not Pokemon or whatever you are thinking about.]

"So what you mean to say to me is that I have to battle that Wind Song Parrot myself?" Wayne replied in disbelief. Just now, Gaia had said to him that the Wind Song Parrot could kill him. So if he dares to really fight that thing, then it would be the same as throwing his own life away.

Even though he knows that he has 3 lives to revive himself, but what's the use of that when the Wind Song Parrot could just continuously kill him over and over again until he ran out of lives to revive himself.

Once that happens, it would be a complete game over for him.
