MISCOMMUNICATION

Don't be too quick to say that "YES" word.....

Reed and Kyle are two high school teenagers guys who happen to like the same girl named Sophie. A school ball is commencing, each are thinking of asking her on a date. Reed who happens to be the charming and cool guy in school is on a standoff with Kyle, a guy she grew up with and were friends since childhood.

Reed and Kyle were helping Sophie with the ball arrangements in school, Reed was planning on asking Sophie when he got the slightest chance, while Kyle on the other hand was not fast. Sophie wanted to go with Kyle her childhood bestfriend, having perceived he likes her but he hasn't professed it yet, so she reeled back.

Reed approached Sophie

"Sophie I wanna go to the ball with you, can you be my date?" Said Reed

Kyle was close by he could overhear their conversation, Reed was backing him and Sophie was facing Kyle. Laila one of Sophie's friends walked up to Kyle and said "Kyle do you wanna go to the ball with me?" Kyle without giving it much thought said "Yeah sure" thinking Sophie was going to give Reed a "Yes". Immediately after Sophie heard Kyle's response out of her outburst she said "Yes" to Reed.

Hours later after they all finished with the setting of the place and everything was perfect everyone left, Sophie was the last to leave and she was still aggravated about earlier she bumped into a table and screamed "Ouch" Kyle who was almost out heard her and came back. Sophie are you okay? Asked Kyle

Am fine you don't need to worry about me, be worried about your date said Sophie, Yeah right I shouldn't worry cause your date would worry about you, too bad he is not here said Kyle, let me help you, "NO" I don't want your help exclaimed Sophie, wait why are you so mad at me? Asked Kyle, Because you gave Laila a "Yes"! Exclaimed Sophie, I only said "Yes" to Laila cause I thought you would give Reed a "Yes", said Kyle, but I didn't exclaimed Sophie not until you gave Laila a "Yes", I was eagerly waiting for you to ask me out so I could say "Yes" but you didn't, Wait you wanted to go with me? You were waiting for me to ask you out? Asked Kyle, That's literally what I just said exclaimed Sophie, All along I thought you wanted to go with Reed said Kyle, why didn't you try just once Kyle, just this once, why? Said Sophie, now it's too late to take it back you can't let Laila down, nor can I let Reed down, we can't lose face before them, this is the least we can do to save face!!!
