[3rd Person's POV]

Mito trained them to sense the flow of chakra around them by making them sit in a blindfold and beat them with a staff named Yū-un, which was made by her.The staff had the ability to store some of the user's chakra and release a heavy blow which can easily kill a chunin. She told them to make two shadow clones of themselves and read the scrolls given by her which had knowledge about the working of seals.

Minato got a grasp of sensing chakra before Kushina, He could sense chakra 2 meters around him, further than that the chakra was too blurry for him and It earned him praise from Mito. That doesn't mean Kushina was unskilled at that, An hour after Minato completed the training and went to rest, She learned to sense chakra and her range was far larger than Minato's, a warping 20m.

Mito then explained that since Kushina had higher chakra than Minato, her body could sense further than him. When Minato tried to sense the chakra inside Kushina he finally understood how unfair life was, her chakra was at least three times larger than his.

Minato and Kushina both were very talented in seal arts, they easily understood seals and were told to practice making simple storage seals. The storage seals that were thought to them could only be drawn on non-sentient surfaces or objects without flow of chakra as even little flow of chakra summons the stored items. They sold the seals they made for extra money to spend while they hung out together. Mito told them to not talk about their training under them till their graduation. They will graduate a year earlier than their fellow year students and will be assigned to a team well suited for them by the Hokage.

Mito was very surprised after seeing Minato's talent in seal arts, even though he was not from a famous clan he was more talented than some Uzumakis who's main strength was sealing arts. He created a chakra storing seal from seeing Yū-un's seal and just using the chakra storing part of it.

They were trained both physically, by pushing their body and chakra to the limits, and mentally by putting them in complex genjutsus and teaching them to crack it. Both Kushina and Minato's talent for their genjutsu was not as good as their talent for ninjutsu and taijutsu. They weren't much interested in learning genjutsu as it was not suitable for their fighting styles.

As a year passed, In that time they learned a lot of jutsus, seals, human anatomy and a lot about the famous fighting styles of their enemies and allies. Minato chose to fight like an Assassin, focusing on quick and precise movements. His accuracy was perfect and could throw 8 kunais at the same time without missing the target.

Kushina, on the other hand, focused on direct fights using her strong body. Her strength increased very much after training for a year. She unlocked her kekkei genkai, [Adamantine Sealing Chains] which made Minato's winning a lot more difficult.

During Minato's 10th birthday on january 25, which he wasn't sure of, Kushina, Mito and Tsunade threw a surprise party for him, Minato who never celebrated any of his birthdays got very emotional and cried in front of them that day, which was still held against him each time he teased Kushina.

That day he got three different gifts from them. Kushina gave him a long kunai which had three blades instead of one and the handle which is thicker than normal kunai's handle. It can also be used as a Knife, it seems to be really strong and expensive. Mito gave him a book which contained Tobirama's personal notes when he created some jutsus which weren't as dangerous as Minato too, just like Tobirama had a keen interest in creating new jutsus. Tsunade just gave him money and told him to treat Kushina on their next 'date' as she called it. That comment of her's earned a chuckle from Mito and a bright blush from Kushina and Minato.

Tsunade was like an older sister figure for Minato, Tsunade's character was nothing like he imagined. Unlike what he thought, Tsunade was brash, aggressive and hit him really hard whenever he named something but she was really kind. She taught him and Kushina basic healing jutsu to heal minor wounds during an emergency.

When it was July he bought a pair of black stud earrings and created a seal on it which gives it the ability to slightly change the flow of chakra in the wearer's body for a second every fifteen seconds. He made it as an earring because it will produce the fluctuation only on the ear to release the wearer from genjutsu, Both him and Kushina just learnt some C-level genjutsus, so he made the earring. One for him and the other for her.

When she heard the earring she came near him and pecked on his right cheek which made him freeze, unable to process the situation, Kushina took one of the earring and rushed out of the room fully flustered at her actions. He slowly touched the part of his cheek that was just kissed, he felt some moisture and his loud heart beat was audible to Tsunade and Mito who laughed and Mito gave some money to Tsunade, losing her bet on who will make the move first. Minato's chest swelled up with something that made him feel very good.

Konoha, Year 51

[Hiruzen's POV]

I looked at the two files in front of me which were just delivered by an Anbu. I reached out and picked up the first file, which was Kushina Uzumaki's.

Name: Kushina Uzumaki, The next jinchuriki of the nine tails

Status: Alive

Estimated strength: High Chunin

Affinity: Water(Basic Nature Transformation) and Ground(Basic Nature Transformation)

Chakra reserve: Higher than Elite Jounin

Abilities(not certain) : Many water and ground style jutsus, Adamantine Sealing Chains, Seal arts, barrier arts and basic healing jutsus.

Ninjutsu : expected to be mid chunin level

Taijutsu: expected to be low Jonin level

Shuriken Jutsu: unknown

Genjutsu: Low chunin level

Threat level: High

Summary: very skilled in seal and barrier arts while having high strength and a very aggressive fighting style. Could possibly stall a Jonin with the help of her seals and high chakra reserves, Dreams to become the first female Hokage. She seemed to be romantically attracted to Minato.

I couldn't help but be amazed by her achievements, At the age of 10 she is very strong, well considering she has a similar special physique like Mito-sama which gives her more vitality, strength and chakra more than the other regular Uzumakis which was the main reason she was chosen as the next Jinchuriki. I closed the file and placed it back on the desk and opened the other file which was Minato Namikaze's

Summary: Very skilled in Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, sealing and barrier arts. His fighting style consists of quick and precise movements. He created many seals and jutsus. He is very creative. Dreams of becoming a Hokage. Seems to be romantically attracted to Kushina.

"Haha, young love"

I laughed as I closed the folder. The next generation is really promising, I should get done with danzo and others and put my personal feelings aside. Jiraiya thinks that Minato may be the child of prophecy after listening to Tsunade who kept bragging about her 'little brother' and Mito-sama decided to not let Kushina graduate until nine tails got sealed inside her.

Hmmm, Jiraiya is a good option as his mentor, I don't think Orochimaru can be a mentor for Minato while spying on Danzo's movements.
