Chapter-17

*BOOOOOOOM*

A bright flash of light through Konoha with the forest behind the stone faces as the center, lighting up the whole village. The light was followed by loud thunders heard throughout Konoha, The civilians all were panicking and many ninjas gathered around to be on guard, While some shinobi made their way towards the source of the sound.

[Hiruzen's POV]

I quickly made my way toward the source of the loud thunder after ordering the Anbus to initiate Protocol-19. I ran above my stone face, not wanting to disrespect my predecessors. I reached the forest and saw most of the trees burning and some broken in half, The ground was charted in black and the whole area smelled like burnt wood, the hair on my body all stood up and I sensed the remnants of someone's chakra, it felt familiar but it was as if something is mixed in with this chakra… I can't sense this 'something'. It feels like if this 'something' is water then chakra is like the bubbles produced in this water.

I saw Orochimaru, Danzo, and some Jonins whom I am familiar with, and appear one by one on the premise, I ordered them,

"Search if there is anyone caught in the attack nearby."

They all nodded their heads and started searching while I tried to sense if there was any chakra that was not moving. I instantly recognised one, the brightest chakra I've seen after Hashirama-sama's, it was Minato's.

I made my way toward Minato's chakra and saw that he was under a fallen tree. I quickly picked up the tree and tossed it aside to see Minato's uninjured body, his shirt was fully burnt while his pants survived. I further checked if he had any injuries just to be sure.

I lifted him up and felt Orochimaru and Danzo appear behind me,

"So this was his attack huh?" I heard Danzo speak, I could feel his hatred in his voice, you are too quick to hate Danzo.

"Shut up for a moment Danzo," I said as I checked what Orochimaru's reaction would be and all I saw was my student's expressionless face but I could say he was curious from the look in his eyes.

"Yo-"

"kushina's coming here… at a high speed"

Whatever Danzo was about to say was interrupted by Orochimaru as he looked in the west direction, I too tried to sense and felt Kushina coming in our direction at a high speed. So your training paid off huh Orochimaru? Now your sensing range is as far as mine, I should fight him to check his level in the future but now, I should focus on finding out about the current problem.

[3rd Person's POV]

"Minato was with her the whole day, we should ask her what happened," Orochimaru said to Hiruzen who nodded at him,

"I'll tell all the others to leave," Hiruzen said and body flickered away.

After seeing Hiruzen leave Danzo said to Orochimaru,

"So that's your student huh?"

Orochimaru knew about his sensei's comrade very much from his past encounters with him, Danzo was always more of a snake than he was, he saw all his shady business when he was sent to spy on him.

"Yes," he replied in a cold voice.

"So what do you think will happen in this war?"

"We won't lose"

"Th-"

"Well, she's here," Said Orochimaru interrupting him and pointing at Kushina who was running at a high speed towards them, her face showing how scared she was.

Hiruzen arrived back again just as Kushina got near them.

Kushina didn't even heed them her focus and just ran past them to the unconscious form of Minato, She sighed in relief after finding out that he had just passed out and didn't have any injuries.

Hiruzen asked the question that was plaguing Orochimaru and Danzo's minds,

"What happened to Minato, you were with him the whole day right Kushina?"

Kushina Lifted Minato up with both of her arms, her right hand was supporting his back while the other was supporting his legs,

"He tried to modify the [Tetragram Seal] to make it work more efficiently and when he was working on it suddenly his eyes lost focus and kept staring at me like he was in a trance. I tried shaking him but he wasn't waking up. His hand was still touching the seal but suddenly his body started heating up and I slapped him which got him out of his trance. Just as I was about to ask him what happened his nose started bleeding and his chakra started to become more malicious and violent… like the Kyubi's and he suddenly disappeared. I was scared and tried to sense him. That was when I heard a loud thunder and came here. Knowing it would be his doing."

Hearing her story Orochimaru was the first one to reply,

"That's just like him… and if we consider that he by accident absorbed the Kyubi's chakra which is too violet in nature his body wouldn't be this uninjured."

"It seems like I have to place someone to monitor you both when Tsunade's away" Hiruzen talked to himself

"First of all, Why is the jinchuriki running around freely and How can he mess with the only thing that stands between Kyubi and Konoha?"

"He's an expert in sealing arts. Danzo and Mito-sama said that the Kyubi can't come out unless the seal is fully broken, which instantly alerts me during the first try to open the seal, and her name is Kushina Uzumaki, a Kunoichi and a citizen of Konoha. Now go with brigade-4 to our base near Iwa and help Tsunade."

Danzo grumbled and left while complaining about why he should work under someone younger than him.

"Look after them for now Orochimaru, I have work to do cause of this fucking war… And if Minato's not injured in any way, bring him with you tomorrow to meet me."

Hiruzen said as body flickered away.

Orochimaru nodded and asked Kushina,

"Where will you be going now?"

"I'll take him home with me, I don't want to let him be alone… Will you also be there?"

"No, I'll just let my clone take care of that."

Orochimaru said as he used [Earth Style: Clone] to create an identical clone to himself, Unlike [Shadow Clone] all other cloning techniques don't return the clone's memory to the original.

"You know your duty right? Call me if something bad happens that you can't handle"

Orochimaru said as his body flickered away.

[Kushina's POV]

I am currently in my room looking at the unconscious Minato lying in my bed. I told Orochimaru-san to stay in the guest room.

I don't know what to do with this idiot, I told him not to do anything if it was too dangerous, it's nothing complicated. It's just you who finds it difficult he said, Look how it turned out idiot.

But it worked I guess when I was very scared after he disappeared with his bleeding nose and red eyes, the fox's usual manipulative voice was not there. I touched the seal and tried to enter the common 'mind-space' between the fox and me.

I opened my eyes and saw the long and seemingly unending bright sunny yellow space, The floor I stood above was not even visible, It was very weird. I searched for the fox and found it still being tied by my chains but the chains were not as tight as before.

"SO WE MEET AGAIN KUSHINA"

Unlike the first time I met him this time he was as angry, the eyes which showed insanity are now just calm and the 'hate' which was gushing out of him is not present.

"Yes, do you know what happened to Minato? You are very old right?"

I asked him, Neither the Hokage nor Orochimaru-san seemed to know what happened to Minato, so I decided to ask the most experienced person I knew, hah… I wish Mito Oba-san was here, she may know what happened.

"WHEN HE WAS MODIFYING THE SEAL HIS 'MIND' WAS PULLED INTO OUR COMMON 'MINDSCAPE' INSIDE THE SEAL"

"Then how did his chakra get so violent like yours… wait for your chakra is not as violent as before?"

He sighed and had a sad and nostalgic look in his eyes,

"TO SAY THAT, FIRST YOU HAVE TO KNOW EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED AFTER MY MADARA'S BETRAYAL ."

"What do you mean from the start? Is Minato in any danger?" I asked

"JUST LISTEN BEFORE THE CURSE REDUCES MY INTELLIGENCE AGAIN"

What curse? What's he talking about? I didn't voice out my questions and just kept quiet to listen.

"SAY? DO YOU KNOW ABOUT CURSED SPIRITS?"

[Meanwhile]

[Minato's POV]

I suddenly opened my eyes and felt like It was not how I usually saw things, It was like closing an eye and only seeing with an eye, I looked down my arms to see something that shocked me,

I had four hands, and all of them had some black markings. My upper body was bare without any clothes covering it, the body was muscular and had a six-pack. It was taller than my real body and I still felt like I wasn't fully in control.

It all felt surreal like I was in some dream. I tried to touch my face with one of my right arms, but all I felt was like I was touching some tree's bark. When I tried to open my eyes again a new eye opened above the rough surface on the right side of my face. Enabling me to see normally again.

I looked around and just saw everything was black,

*SCREECH*

*SCREAM*

I can hear many creepy noises, like screaming and screeching of some scary creature but strangely I wasn't scared of those, it would have definitely made me shit my pants before. The whole area was dark and the sky was fully black but there was enough light coming from somewhere which made seeing possible.

I started walking around to find any clue about where I was. The closer I got to any scream I heard it seemed farther away. I ran desperately trying to get out of here but I still didn't feel fear… I just didn't feel anything.

*SPLASH*

While running I stepped on some puddle of liquid, I stopped running and turned back to see what it was, down on the bloody floor which stinks like rotten corpses and vomit but still didn't make me feel disgusted, Yeah something is happening to me. Down on the disgusting floor, I saw a puddle of red blood, I tried seeing my reflection as I was curious to see what this face looked like.

On seeing the reflection of my face I was taken back to see the right half of this face covered by some bark-like thing. I had two pairs of eyes, two on each side of my face. My cheeks and chin had similar black markings to my body. I had short black hair that was slicked back.

While looking at the blood A face suddenly appeared in my mind, it was a man's face. He had pale skin like Orochimaru-sensei, and he had horns curved upward like a crown above his head. He had three eyes, a normal pair, and a vertical eye. His right eye was a Byakugan while his left one was a blue eye with a black crescent moon symbol and a white pupil. His vertical eye was a yellow eye with concentric circles.

"Shibai!"

I don't know how I knew about his name, but this body instinctively said that and this voice is far deeper than any voice I've ever heard, it felt demonic.

I don't know why but I can feel my increasing anger after remembering that face, and the sounds of the screaming and screeching started increasing.

Just as I was about run I felt everything around me break and crumble and felt like I was going to lose consciousness I heard a creepy voice say,

"..sh...!"

[3rd Person's POV]

In a land that looked exactly like the one Minato saw in his dream, the disturbing sounds of screaming and screeching were heard continuously throughout the realm, The whole sky above was totally black but there was dim light which made vision possible. The place had a depressing aura and no sight of any being visible.

There was a large castle in that land, the castle was very big with many tall towers, inside the castle in a dark room which had a throne in the middle, beside the throne there was a large monstrous creature with a large white upper body, long arms, and tail like-shadow which served like her lower body. It had no visible eyes and an upper face which looked like a shell to the brain. Extending from her head were several tendrils that connected to its own back. It had five fingers in each of its hands and each finger had long sharp nails. Its mouth was not closed and it was filled with long sharp teeth.

Suddenly a large wave passed through the whole realm.

It was not moving and was still near the throne. I floated in the same place when its eye suddenly opened the moment the wave passed it, it only had a single eye that was big enough to cover its whole forehead. Its eye showed a mad gleam and its mouth was grilling, showing all of its sharp teeth. The sounds of the screams increased and the land started shaking.

"HahAHahAhAhAHaha!!!!!!"

It laughed like a mad scientist with it's distorted voice,

"ReJoICe mY cOMRadEs He HaS RetUrnED!!!"

"FoR HiS ReVeNGE!"

"I CAn FeEL hIS FaMilIar eNergy!"

"HaHaHAhaHaHa!"

"HoW LoNG HaS iT BeeN?"

"OuR LoRd Has Returned!!"

"LoRd JASHIN Has REtUrNED!!!!"
