The Transfer Student

Pulling up to a large European style building, a black Land Rover halted at the front of the school steps. A couple of curious glances from the upper windows, watched as the drowsy teen stumbled out of the car trying to awaken the large sleeping dog.

Carrying it in his arms to some of their astonishment, garnered the attention of a group boys who watched in amusement and curiosity as the owner patted its back carefully like trying to further lull a baby to sleep.

"Xiao Liang." Zhu Hua whispered a little hoarsely, a sour taste in her mouth.

Patting his head and saying some appeasing words, she brushed back her hair and itched her forehead. Passing the leash to the driver who traded her a bottle of water and the necessary documents needed to prove her identity.

"Apparently a transfer students coming in today?" A guy pinching his pierced ear asked casually, in the half empty classroom.

"Really?... Isn't it kinda strange to be transferring in the middle of the first term back?" His desk mate replied scrolling on his phone.

"Ah! Someone's here... Is it dyed? What kind of chinese has blonde hair? Could he be a foreigner?" He thought wondering how he'd look with bleached hair.

"Lol it's a fucking nerd hah! What an idiot? What the hell is he doing?!" One of his aggressive friends suddenly shouted, clearly the ring leader, patting him on the back and making him flinch.

"Hey! Aren't those new Nikes? There aren't out here in China yet?"

"Shall we sneak outta-"

"Lunch periods almost over-"

"Fuck that, let's go say hello to the fresh meat."

Passing over the yellow folder of the information requested to the administrator at the front desk, she was given a visitor pass and was told she could walk around the school for an hour. To meet at the Principals office on the second floor in an hour.

Supposedly as it was 12:30 everyone who was still eating lunch, would be going back to classes. Apparently all classes taught were mandatory including music and dance, however somehow grandfather managed to make P.E an exception for her. So as long as she did something productive for those 60 minute lessons, it'd be fine.

Because it was a half a day drive to the school Zhu Hua was still a little sluggish and her bones felt uncomfortable like melting butter. She didn't really care about where she went so wandered aimlessly a bright red visitor pass sticker clung to her sweater. At times like these she really didn't want to talk to anyone, she was a short fuse and would snap at anyone or glare at them for even trying.

On the third floor she heard the hum of classical music and unconsciously walked towards it, appreciating the poster boards of upcoming competitions and photographs of students playing on festival days.

Unaware of how she was being stared down and cross examined, trudging along emotionlessly as an ethereal piece of music echoed across the floor. To the distaste of one of the peering music teachers, who tutted in front of the whole class.

'Nothing I can't do.'

Looking down at her phone whilst walking when she heard a constant stream of notifications. About to reply to the message Xiao Lou had sent her when she felt a squeezing pain in her foot.

"Sorry, I didn't see you there." He said sweetly, removing his black oxfords from her clean Nike's. A dark muddy footprint left behind.

'I haven't even started school yet...' Taking a glance at him she clicked her teeth, wanting to move out of the way.

Obviously he didn't let her, a gleaming black stud in his ear, a fake smile that didn't reach his eyes on his lips. He began to introduce himself.

"I'm Yan Mo Li, you must be the transfer student?"

"What's that got to do with you?" She said unexpectedly cold before walking away.

Watching his back Mo Li smirked with malicious eyes, as he thought about where he could be heading. If he carried on going he'd walk towards the abandoned music rooms where there weren't any cameras.

As Young Master Tian's lackey he had to prevent him from being the target of his aggressive behaviour, so it was best to turn his attention to the weak and unassuming one's.

As her stomach growled she rolled her eyes wondering why she had to wait an hour for the principal to get his shit together. Abruptly turning the corner to a long and dusty corridor, she had an ominous feeling in the pit of her stomach as she paused.

Turning her head around to walk the way she came, suddenly the back of her collar was yanked back forcefully. Amidst her choking as the person dragged her along, she noticed that bastard Yan Mo Li hiding a smile as he spoke to a teacher nearby. The teachers back facing towards her as he engaged in pointless conversation with the bastard.

Initially considering fighting back, she decided against it as it wasn't even her first day here and thinking about how they openly went in for the kill. It was clear that they wouldn't get caught.

Meaning that even if she did something... she wouldn't get caught either.

A sparkle of violet that no one would could see reflected in her reddened eyes. Tears threatened to fall as she felt the buttons of her shirt collar press up against her throat, making her seem like a pitiful nerd about to be beaten bloody by the bully.

Except for that smile, more like a smirk, a kind of vicious and wolffish grin that says 'I'm about to see something good.' Or when a predator waits patiently for those few seconds before sinking its teeth in and causing complete chaos.

Slipping off her glasses, so they don't fall when 'he' pushes her down someplace. She was eventually thrown down to the wooden flooring, a thin layer of dust covering the place made her nose itch furiously.

"Xiao Fang go guard the door." His snarling voice echoed, his hands clenching with excitement.

Watching with slight confusion at how the guy didn't even react, undoing the top buttons of his shirt emotionlessly.

A lone tear rolling down his pale cheek.

"Transfer student, how about I show you the ropes hah? I'll show you how to really settle down here well with the other guys." Watching with a little excitement as it plopped on to the floor.

"Is that so?" Zhua Hua replied alarmingly calm, placing her glasses in her pocket. Standing and wiping the dust off her clothes nonchalantly, her facade of her pretending to be useless and weak came undone unconsciously.

"Why don't I show you my way of doing things and then you tell me where to improve huh?" Sweat like a drop of ice cold water, tingled down his spine as he shivered. A dark aura seeped out of him like poison, making him unable to move.

His visible pale skin and beautiful blonde hair, angelic contrasting his behaviour. Unlike the supposedly weak and useless nerd he appeared to be.

Seeing as he didn't move from his spot watching her blankly, made Zhu Hua lightly chuckle. Bringing him out of his reverie, a little flustered.

"Bastard who the fuck do you think I am?!"

Flinging a punch and rushing up to her, as if on instinct she stepped aside dodging his punch and caught his leg making him trip up. Stumbling she showed off an evil smile as a small hand grabbed hold of his neck, feeling a little disgusted by the clammy feeling under her palm.

Speaking soft and calmly Tian Zhou Wei, a major Telecommunication businessman's son, stood half kneeling afraid and dazed at his alluring eyes.

Unable to make out the colour, his eyes narrowing in frustration as her strands of hair draped over his feathery lashes.

"If I'm a transfer student, do you think I'll know you?" She said with a sigh. "You're really lucky you know? If I didn't know where to hide the body I'm sure you'd be dead by now." Loosening the pressure and using her thumb to softly rub the skin of his swelling neck.

"Do you think I'm bluffing?" Prodding his forehead with a finger.

"I have a really shitty temper so if you don't wanna visit the hospital, for I dunno? A pair of broken ribs, broken collar bone, Jaw... don't test me. Because I fucking can't stand the attention okay?" She said removing his hand off his neck and squeezing his face together with a hand, like pinching a cute child's cheeks.

The minute she moved away she felt a fist thrown her way which she upon catching his wrist tightly, grabbed hold of his shoulder and manipulating his arm behind his back.

"Did you think I was bluffing?" She growled.

"You wouldn't dare?!" He shouted between the blinding agony, a little blush appeared on his cheeks in embarrassment made him shout louder.

"Ahh! Ugh!" He suddenly screamed as she forcefully pulled his arm out of it socket.

"You...," She began to say pulling on his collar in a dishevelled mess. "Do you think if I begged for mercy you would've stopped?"

"Fucking monster." He mumbled under his breath.

"What?" She asked playfully.

"I said you're fucking mmff-" He mumbled again, before being punched so hard and quickly in the face that he passed out.

Making Zhu Huas knuckles a little red In the process.

Wiping her hands on her trousers, she flicked off the extra dust before pausing slightly. Glancing at the large dust covered pianos with disinterest.

Clicking her tongue she whispered to herself in English, her American accent ever more apparent.

"Fucking cunts."

***

As the door clicked shut behind her, a repetitive clicking sound could be heard as the dark eyed youth lit up a cigarette. Cold black eyes blinked nonchalantly as he rested behind the back of the grand piano, away from view. Thin lips hooked to one side showing subtle interest, stopping the camera of his Iphone.

Exuding an air of sinful elegance, his simple gestures or even a single look would put people to shame. Especially now how he languidly rested, his long legs stretched out and shirt unbuttoned revealing the slight curves of his tan muscles. A hand threading through his silky locks as he smoked, a glint of evil in his eyes which quickly disappeared as it came.

Nudging a foot in his side as if he were kicking a ball Young Master Tian groaned aloud, opening his eyes with a fierce look. Upon seeing the culprit who woke him up, a confused and startled look appeared on his face.

"Have you come to finish me off when I'm down... what a weak look?!" He sneered.

"The new kid can do it." He deadpanned. "Weak."

"Shut up! You'll get what you deserve, you even took my girl from me." Glaring at him with pure hatred.

"Relationships are pointless." Taking a long drag, making young master Tian wheeze as he puffed out long streams of smoke.

"How do you not know the transfer student won't go after you?"

"Not stupid."

"What?"

"What's his name?" He asked emotionlessly.

"...", realising he never asked or forced him to tell him.

"Useless." Pulling out his phone he checked his Wechat notifications, that was bustling with activity over the transfer student and the huge pet dog he fetched with him.

'Liu Zhi Ruo... what interesting news.'
