As Lucas stood in front of Nimrod Bloodsworn, he worried about his own future if the prince insisted on provoking Ruby, the maid of Fate Grimsever.

Nimrod began to consider his options more in depth. If he wanted to get his hands on both Fate's wealth and maid, then he would need to think outside the box.

Then Nimrod smiled as he came up with a great idea. He was still under the delusion that he could use his royal authority to control Fate and make him do whatever Nimrod wanted.

So Nimrod figured that he should use the authority of his position to send the tax collector to Fate. He wants the academy's money, and now they want Fate's money.

How will Fate avoid the tax collector? In the kingdom of Westridge, the tax collector is equivalent to the inquisition of the church. No one dared to mess with the kingdom when money was involved.

Then Nimrod figured that if Fate can't settle his debt, then Fate can go ahead and sell Ruby to the crown to settle his ever-growing tax debt. As Nimrod continued to scheme, he was not aware that he was already under surveillance by Ruby's covert forces.

They were sent to keep an eye on Nimrod Bloodsworn. Ruby does not see this young prince as a threat at all. He is merely someone that her master can use to increase his prestige.

As Nimrod daydreams about Ruby's long curvy legs, he immediately feeltthe need to purge, so he called Maria Valine over so he can enjoy her.

This green tea bitch, of course, pretended to be chaste. But the truth is her body count is higher than the population of Valoria.

It is safe to assume that the prince now possesses numerous STDs, but they would not show up for quite some time yet.

As Maria was enjoyed by Nimrod in his palace, Ruby was in the slums of Valoria already at work on the cult project that her lord assigned her to complete.

Fate, as the smart and cautious person that he is, stayed out of any direct involvement with the cult development plans for the time being.

Ruby looked at the ground below her, then at a seemingly empty shed in a dark corner of the street. Ruby walked over to the seemingly abandoned shed, then tapped on the door. As Ruby did so, the door did not open.

Instead, the ground in front of the door slowly sank into the ground. Ruby quickly disappeared into the depths of the earth.

Ruby looked at the earth mage in charge of this entrance. The man had his head shaved and was wearing a red robe. He had a phoenix tattoo inked onto his bald head. His eyes had deep red shadows under them, a sign of someone who is deeply fanatical and devoted to worship their lord and savior, the Phoenix Lord.

That is the title that Ruby has given her master, Fate Grimsever. Since Fate cannot be killed and will live forever, he has truly entered the realm of a god.

Now Ruby also shares this ability. While she can't make more immortals like herself, Ruby alone being immortal is already terrifying enough.

When the cult member saw The Fire Mother, he fell to the floor in awe of this immortal being before him. Ruby ignored this and continued walking into the underground base. Such insignificant members of Phoenix Rising are below her ability to acknowledge.

In just a few days, the Blood Maidens have been able to create the start of a massive underground metropolis under the city of Valoria. Mostly situated under the massive cemetery of this city with entryways leading into it from the slums.

Ruby felt that if she is to be a cult leader, then they need to involve necromancy and undead in their work too. After all, Ruby is an equal opportunity cult leader.
