THE MAGICAL WISH (PART 2)

Confusion. That's the first thing that I felt when Rafael told me that I am a 'Vampire'. What's that supposed to mean? Is this a joke? Maybe I am in a coma or I think I am having hallucination. I took a minute to process what he just say. Vampires are not real. They only exist in books and movies. Right? "What do you mean I am a vampire? Are you messing with me?" I asked him. "Why would I lie about something like this.

And we meet yesterday, when you were walking back to your house" he said. Again, all this does not make sense. "I never meet you in my life" I replied to him. He cracked a little smile and came close to me, I was about to walk backwards but he stopped by holding my hands, he looked directly in my eyes and said "Remember".

And then I started to remember, how I meet him, we talked a lot and then he took me to his home, I meet one of his friend Davina. The moment I sat near her, she started to murmur something that I didn't understand. Next thing I know is that Rafael feed me his blood and broke my neck. I blinked a few times and looked towards Rafael and said "What the hell Rafael! You killed me. And who was that girl? She did something to me right?".

"First call me Raf. And yes, Davina is a witch. Sure I can turn you into a vampire just by feeding you my blood and then killing you of course but I didn't. Because I wanted you to be like me. An Original. Immortal, who cannot be killed. That's why I asked Davina to help. She was shocked when I said to help me turn you into an original because I never do anything like this",

"So, what? Am I supposed to feel special that you did something good for me. You don't even know me", "You are right. Let's go get a drink. It helps with the craving" he said and started walking towards the exit. "What do you mean cravings?" I said and followed him.

A black range rover was parked outside. Why didn't I saw the car when I came? He unlocked the car with his keys and open the passenger door for me. He motioned me to get inside. I huffed and hop inside the car. He climbed into the driver's seat and started the car.

He drives to a bar that I have never been to. He parked the car and both of us got out. We went inside and sat on the stools on the other side of the bar table. He ordered bourbon for both of us. He turns towards me and said "I know you must have a lot of questions. And I am ready to answer them all" he said. The bar tender brought us our drink, Raf said thanks to him and he went. "Okay, first of all Vampires are real?"

"Yeah, they are. So are werewolves and witches"

"Alright, it's a lot to process"

"Take your time" he said and took a sip from his drink. I took a sip form mine too.

"Why did you turn me?"

"When I first saw you in the restaurant with your friends, I saw a girl who was faking to be happy, trying to be caught up in the conversation with her friends. And when I meet you, on your way home I don't know but something felt right about you. The way you talk, your smile, you were just so beautiful. It's like you were a completely different person with your friends and then I saw the real you. And I didn't compel you when we meet"

"Wow, but still you haven't answer my question why did you turn me and what the hell is compel?"

"You will get the answer yourself in a few days. And Mind Compulsion is an ability for immortals, vampires and original vampires to control the mind of another simply through eye contact. And we also have the ability to heal any kind of injury by feeding our blood. And if the person dies within 24 hrs he/she will turn into a vampire. And compulsion, I am going to show you how it works"

Raf calls the bar tender and looks straight into his eyes and said "You are going to give our drinks on the house". I was so confused. "Drinks are on the house" the bar tender said and went away. I looked towards Raf with a very confused expression. "So, all you have to do is look straight into someone's eyes and say what you need to say"

"Yeah, I got it. It's actually really cool. And you said about I can heal anyone by my blood right. And if that person dies within 24 hrs, they will turn into a vamp. So, the blood stays in their body for 24 hrs"

"That's right. See you getting it. But you have to learn to control your thirst. But don't worry about that I am going to teach you"

"Thanks. That's a lot to take in but I think I am ready"

"Very good. Now let's go Davina must be waiting for us"

We finish our drinks and headed towards his car. Once we sat inside and Raf start the car, he turned toward me and said "One more thing about compulsion. Any other vampire can compel only humans but as for us we can compel both vampire and humans", "Really that's interesting", "Hell yeah it is".

He smiled towards me and we headed towards his house to meet Davina.

After a 15 minutes' drive we pulled in front of his house. We got out of the car and walked inside. As we got into the living room, Davina came out and said "Hayley! Good to see you again". Davina looks like she is in her early twenties. She has black short hair; brown eyes and she is as tall as I am. "Hey! How are you?" I asked her. She told me to seat on the sofa. Raf took a seat next me.

"Am good. But the real question is how are you? When Raf brought you yesterday and asked me to help him turn you into an original vampire, I am not going to lie but I was shocked. I perform the spell for the first time", "Wow! I am good, I guess. I was just really confused at first but Raf explained everything to me and what do you mean 'perform the spell for the first time?", "Raf's mother was a very powerful witch.

And as Raf says to everyone that I am his best friend which I am but I am also his cousin. The spell was used his by mother to turn him and his brother to vampires and after many centuries I used it to turn you into am original vampire", "Centuries? How old are you?" I asked Raf. He gave me a small smile and answered "I am 25 years old for a thousand years". Thousand years, oh my god! "Wow! I don't know what to say", "I know it's a lot to take in. You will get used to it" Davina said to me. "Okay I will leave you too to talk" she said and went inside.

"So, you have a brother?" I asked Raf

"Yeah. He went out to get some supplies. I will introduce you too later. I think you should stay here for a few days. You know until you get used to the cravings and all"

"Yeah, you are right"

"Okay. Give me your apartment keys I will send someone to get you some clothes". I thanked him and handed him my keys. "Follow me I will show you your room". I nod to him and went after him. Strange how one night can change so many things.
