The Twins' Curse

"I like him." Makoto said when Riku finally left. Ichika heaved a deep sigh of relief when she can already breathe properly. She almost lost her breath when the twins and Riku talked. She felt like that the twins are her parents.

"I also like him. He treated us food." Mizuki smiled widely while enjoying her burger and fries. She rolled her eyes on how Mizuki can easily be bought with food.

"I don't like him. He is not my type." She said before taking a sip from her glass of iced coffee. She called for the waiter once more and ordered some food since she suddenly felt hungry.

"Don't say that. You might eat your words." Mizuki reminded her but she doesn't care. He is not her type even though he is good at singing and he is a good-looking guy with a firm and strong body.

Wait. Did she just say those? She can't believe her own mind is betraying her. Mizuki got her phone and opened one of her social media accounts. Makoto watched her search for Riku's account.

"I'll add him." The younger said and she pressed the add button on her phone screen. The waiter arrived with the food Ichika ordered and she started eating.

"But I can feel that he is a good guy. You know, my instincts never fail me. Right?" Makoto said and Ichika nodded her head.

"You know what? You can't just sell me like that to him. We just met today. It is only the first day. Can you two give at least more time for us to know each other?" She said in a matter-of-fact tone and Mizuki chuckled in excitement.

"So, he has a chance? I bet you thought of him as a cool guy." Her eyes widened when she heard this. These twins may be her death.

She shivered in fear when she remembered the curse that the twins gave to her. Riku as her husband? No way. She is too young to get married and also, she wants to finish her studies before getting married.

"Or maybe.. he is the guy you told us earlier that turned you off?" The twins said in unison and she choked with her food. She reached for her iced coffee and took a large gulp from it.

"Makoto. Mizuki. Let me eat peacefully." She glared at the twins but they just chuckled. They moved to her sides and squished her in between.

"He might be your husband already." Mizuki whispered to her ear. She shook her head but Makoto whispered something to her other ear.

"It is 80% that you will get married to him before you finish your studies." It looks like two devils are whispering all of her sins to her ears and pushing her to do more sins.

"Oh, my God. Please take me away from these twins." She mumbled, shutting her eyes closed, already praying that everything will be done soon.

She pulled her apartment keys out from her pocket and opened the door. It is her first day to live in an apartment alone. She just moved in there yesterday and she can still feel her body exhausted after a day of organizing her things.

Her parents trusted her enough, that's why she got the chance to live alone in an apartment near the university. She locked the door behind her and took a deep breath. Little by little, she will get used to kind of living.

She had a little rest before taking a bath. Later, she will cook dinner or if she got lazy, she will order online instead. She has weekends to visit her parents. After taking a bath, she got one of her oversized shirts and wore it with only lingerie underneath.

Thinking about on how her day will go on after this, she is already feeling bored. She got her phone from her bag and saw a bunch of messages from the group chat with Mizuki. Her eyes widened when she saw Riku's photos there.

"This will be Ichika's husband soon. He's handsome, right?" Mizuki said with lots of heart emoji after. She groaned at this and looked at every photos of Riku.

"He's a gym maniac." She mumbled while covering her mouth. She is blushing furiously now that she is staring at one of his shirtless but all sweaty after-gym photos.

"She already got a boyfriend? That's fast." Endo Fumiko, their other friend replied with a smirking emoji. She rolled her eyes and when was about to reply, another reply from Mizuki popped on her screen.

"We met him earlier. He treated us food. Everyone should meet him soon. Should I set a date? He's already my friend." She almost threw her phone when she read that. She doesn't want to be with that gym maniac! She will not get married to him!

"Mizuki, I want to strangle you to death." She replied with lots of angry emojis. She puffed her cheeks and reached for the remote control. She turned the television on and the first thing she saw on the screen is a couple kissing.

"You can't kill me but I can kill you." Her jaw dropped while looking at the television screen. It is an R-18 drama and she doesn't know why she have that channel but she can't take her eyes off it as her mind is already thinking of her and Riku kissing and doing it.

"What the heck!" She screamed in terror, hugging one of the throw pillows besides her. She is not even watching a horror movie but she is already scared of her future.

She shook her head vigorously, forcing her mind to forget Riku. What the heck did that man do to her? Why is she thinking about him? Is this the start of the twins' curse? She can't believe it. She is already miserable.

She pressed a button and changed the channel. She heaved a relief sigh when it became a cooking show but she froze on her spot when she saw a couple cooking some food together happily.

"I'm cursed." She muttered before falling on the couch. She hugged her knees and sobbed in despair. It is only the first day but Riku is already haunting him.
