(A/N: After reading your comments from the last chapter, it's clear I missed the mark a fair bit. Uwabami didn't get a chance to prove/save herself as the test was dependent on solely Ingenium, along with some other minor issues. In hindsight, it would have been better if I separated the traps rather than combining them. But overall, thank you guys for your input, I'll be sure to make John Kramer proud with future traps!)

Does anybody know when Pro Hero Uwabami will do her Instagram livestream? She's been doing a daily one consistently for a few months but has gone radio silent since a few days ago without a trace. Does anybody know why?

Tbh, I have no idea. In all honesty, she might be doing some overseas stuff. I'm no celebrity so take my stuff with a grain of salt!

Brother, you have a checkmark on your account. On a sidenote any information on Ingenium? I didn't see him run on his usual patrol (I was not looking for a selfie I swear)

Not too sure either, but that hero has been different since Manual's death. If anything he might be taking a break, but if he has he'd probably announce it, so I don't know why the radio has been silent on his part.

Yeah, so I was just grocery shopping and saw an abnormal amount of cops in the area. Just wanted to post this thinking it might be noteworthy.
Y'all got any theories as to why they were there? I really wish I could ask but I had to feed my cat, he was getting hungry. I will say that they had some serious freaking faces on, something horrible must have happened there to warrant that…

Honestly not surprised that it could have been a Jigsaw case. It's been like a month since the last one. But other than that, I got nothing for yah.

By Rika Hosino
September 7, 2260
In a shocking and tragic development, the bodies of two pro heroes have been discovered earlier today in an undisclosed location within Hosu City. Authorities have confirmed that the deceased are none other than Ingenium and Uwabami, both well-known figures in the hero community.

Investigators are working around the clock to determine the exact cause of death and the events leading up to this tragic incident.

Uwabami, famous for her unique quirk and captivating presence, was admired both for her hero work and her influence in the media industry. Their deaths come as a devastating blow to the community they served.

AUTOPSY REPORT LEAK OF UWABAMI
259 upvotes
So, this just dropped, and it's pretty grim. An alleged autopsy report of Uwabami has surfaced, and it looks like she didn't just die — she suffered. The report says that her body was found with extensive burns to her face, consistent with molten metal.
It looks like Jigsaw deliberately targeted her beauty, which is just… insane. They found traces of gold in the burns too, which is just messed up. The report also mentions her hands being restrained, which means she was probably alive when it all started.
Her hair and scalp were severely damaged, and there were signs of extreme distress in her body — like she was trying to fight back but couldn't. They didn't find any signs of her using her quirk, which probably means she was completely immobilized.
Authorities haven't confirmed any of this yet, so take it with a grain of salt, but if this is legit, then whoever did this is seriously twisted.

This is so messed up… why her? What was the motive from Jigsaw's end?
·
GojoSatoruFan6 - 21 points, 1 hr. ago
The fact that Jigsaw used molten gold is insane. This wasn't just murder; it was personal.

How did this even leak? Isn't this kind of stuff supposed to be confidential?!

If this is real, then the authorities need to find this person ASAP! The whole community is sending thoughts and prayers.

I know, right? If this is true, we're dealing with a psychopath. Keep an eye out for more leaks; I'll post whatever I find.

Detective Tsukauchi stood before a sea of reporters, the bright flashing lights of their cameras blinding his eyes. His normally calm demeanour was strained as the weight of recent events pressed heavily on his shoulders.
Beside him, Chief Kenji Tsuragamae's stern, canine features were set in a grim expression. The microphones before them crackled with anticipation, each one representing a voice that was desperate for answers.
The canine cleared his throat before speaking, his voice steady yet tinged with sorrow. "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen," he began, his gaze sweeping over the press.
"We are here today to address the tragic loss of two of our city's esteemed pro heroes. As you all are aware, the individuals in question have been identified, and while we are still gathering information, I can assure you that every resource at our disposal is being utilized to bring those responsible to justice."
He paused, his canine features stiff with the strain of maintaining composure. But before he could continue, a reporter from the front row interrupted, her voice cutting through the room like a sharp knife.
"Chief Tsuragamae, isn't it true that this is the work of the so-called 'Jigsaw' killer? Why haven't the specifics of these recent traps been released to the public yet? What are you hiding from us?"
Tsuragamae's jaw tightened, but before he could respond, Tsukauchi stepped forward, his calm demeanour in stark contrast to the brewing storm in the room.
"I understand your concerns," Tsukauchi began, his voice steady but laced with a tension that only those close to him could detect. "However, the details of these cases are still under investigation. Releasing too much information at this stage could compromise our ability to catch the perpetr-"
Another reporter, this one from a major news network, didn't wait for Tsukauchi to finish before asking his question. "Detective Tsukauchi, the public is terrified. This is the fifth incident linked to Jigsaw in recent months, and we've seen nothing but escalating violence! How can you expect people to feel safe when it seems like the police are always one step behind?"
The room murmured in agreement, the pressure mounting as more reporters began to shout their questions, each one more aggressive than the last.
"Why weren't the heroes able to stop this?"
"What measures are being taken to prevent another attack?"
"Can you confirm the nature of the injuries suffered by the victims?"
Tsukauchi raised a hand, signalling for calm, though the gesture did little to quell the rising tide of frustration. "We are doing everything in our power to stop this villain. I assure you, we have teams working around the clock-"
"But it's not enough!" another voice rang out, cutting him off. "People are dying, Detective! Heroes are dying! What do you have to say to their families, to the people of this city who are looking to you for answers?"
Tsuragamae finally stepped back in, his voice a low growl. "We will not rest until justice is served. The people of this city can trust that we are pursuing every lead and that the safety of the public is our top priority."
"And what leads do you have? This has been the fifth case and there has been no announcement on your end on who this person is!"
The reporters were not satisfied, not one bit.
The barrage of questions continued, each one hammering at the two men standing before them, their assurances doing little to soothe the fears that had taken root in the hearts of the citizens of Musutafu and the rest of Japan.
The press conference was rapidly spiralling out of control, the truth of the matter clear to everyone in the room: the city was gripped by fear, and the authorities had yet to prove that they could stop the terror spreading through its streets.
They wanted answers now, but Tsukauchi's mind couldn't help but drift back to the only legitimate lead that he had of the Jigsaw case. An interrogation of Shinohara Yuki from only a couple of weeks ago, the first and only known person to have survived a Jigsaw trap.
[Scene Change]
[Two Weeks Earlier]
The interrogation room was small and sterile, with harsh fluorescent white lights beaming down against the only objects in the room, a table and two chairs. The detective sat across from Yuki, a man hardened by life and fighting.
The criminal, or former criminal, was no stranger to violence; his quirk 'Bladed Arms' had seen him through more fights than the robber could remember. He was built almost like a tank, with his muscles forged through years of scrapping and survival, and his tattoo — a snake coiling around a stick — spoke to his past affiliations.
But interestingly enough, the man had come in voluntarily, transformed from the rough figure he once was. His face, still marked with the scars of Jigsaw's trap, carried with it a calmness that Tsukauchi didn't anticipate.
The man was cooperative, answering every question with a straightforward honesty that Tsukauchi wished previous and future interrogations were modelled after. The detective had asked him about the night of the trap, about the fear and pain, and Yuki had recounted it all in a steady voice as if the terror had been something distant, almost surreal.
But it was when Tsukauchi inquired about the aftermath that Yuki's demeanour truly shifted.
"Detective," Yuki began, his voice gravelly yet sincere, "I know this might sound strange, but… I'm grateful for Jigsaw." Tsukauchi's brow furrowed in confusion. "Grateful?"
Yuki nodded, his eyes reflecting a depth of emotion Tsukauchi hadn't expected. "Before that night, I was going down a path that would've gotten me killed, or worse. I was angry, lost… didn't care much about where I was headed. Jigsaw made me face that. He forced me to confront the man I'd become, and what that meant for my future. It wasn't just about surviving the trap — it was about surviving myself."
He paused, looking down at his hands before speaking once more. "After I got out, I took a long, hard look at my life. I realized I didn't want to be that guy anymore. I quit the fighting, got a simple job, and I've been living humbly ever since. It's not much, but it's honest work. I'm not proud of who I used to be, but I'm doing my best to make up for it now."
Tsukauchi had listened in silence, absorbing every word. It wasn't often that victims of crimes, especially those as twisted as Jigsaw's, expressed anything close to gratitude. But Yuki was different. He had emerged from his ordeal not just as a survivor, but as a man renewed, determined to live a life that he could be proud of.
[Scene Change]
[Present Day]
Tsukauchi blinked, and he was transported back to the present where he was greeted by a cacophony of noise. The detective raised his hand and demanded silence with a commanding voice that cut through the chaos.
"ENOUGH!"
With the memory of Yuki's transformation at the back of his head, Tsukauchi took a deep breath and addressed the crowd. "Jigsaw is a threat we are taking very seriously," he began, his tone firm.
"We understand the fear and uncertainty these recent events have caused, and we are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of the public. However, this investigation is complex and ongoing. We cannot reveal specific details that might compromise our efforts or further endanger lives."
The detective's eyes swept across the room, meeting the gaze of each reporter. "What I can tell you is that we are not dealing with a simple criminal. Jigsaw is calculating, driven by a twisted sense of justice and thinks he can play God. He preys on the vulnerabilities of his victims, forcing them into situations where survival often comes at a great cost."
The room was silent, the tension palpable as Tsukauchi continued. "For those who are afraid, I assure you, we are doing everything in our power to stop this madness. But we need your cooperation. Spreading fear and panic will only help our enemy. We need to stay strong, united, and vigilant."
"But make it no mistake, we will catch the Jigsaw."

Not sure how I feel about the press conference earlier today from the police. But I'm sure in the coming days they will feed us more information. After all, pretty much all of Japan knows about this villain now, he cannot be ignored. #Jigsaw #RIPIngenium #RIPUwabami #JusticeForManual

I'm still wondering how all the other heroes will respond to the situation. How is All Might going to respond? How about Endeavor? I want to be able to walk on the street and feel safe again! #Jigsaw

I think Endeavor and the likes of Mirko have already put out their statements, with the former wanting to catch Jigsaw himself believing that he'll triumph over All Might #Jigsaw

[One Day Later]
A young boy, no older than 10 years of age, lay motionless on the floor, curled up in a tight ball. His room was dark, with its only source of light being a plugged-in night light to his far right, revealing the magnitude of Ingenium posters and figurines.
"Why… why… why?" the boy repeated to himself, his glasses fogging up as he clutched one of his favourite Ingenium figurines in one hand. "You were supposed to come back… mommy said you would come back… why did you go?"
His eyes were red from his uncontrollable crying as he rocked back and forth. "I'll… b-be a hero… j-just like you, b-brother," he claimed in-between sobs. "I'll g-go to UA… and I'll make you proud, Tensei…"
"Then I'll m-make him pay, I'll make Jigsaw pay…"
(A/N: Given that I had missed the mark with the previous chapter, I have two options for you guys. The first of which is to go back and re-write it properly, while the second option is to leave it and just continue with the fanfiction. Depending on the overall answer I might partially re-write this chapter as well.)
