Showdown

The two men didn't waste a second as Big Boss fired multiple rockets but Solid ran up and launched onto a rocket then leapt off it into one of the buildings. Big Boss began firing both the Vulcan Gun and the Laser Cannon as Solid was sprinting through the floor, hopping over obstacle after obstacle then leapt out of the building. In mid air, he fired three explosive arrows at the Sky Alert Radar to destroy it and landed onto a balcony safely. Snake quickly ripped his remaining top off then remained in cover until suddenly, Big Boss began to fire a barrage of rockets at Snake's location. Solid Snake quickly got up and began to sprint through the balcony as the rockets were destroying everything behind him. The balcony he was just on suddenly collapsed but Solid quickly gripped onto a broken rail and was hanging on as tight as he could. He quickly began to move to the right, trying to get to the balcony that was right beside him. Suddenly, the balcony he was on broke partially off, swinging Snake into one of the floors of the building. He had little time to recover as Big Boss spotted him and began firing the cannon and the gun again at a gatling pace. Solid kept sprinting through the floor, using his peripheral vision, he began to count the seconds for the Laser Cannon to fire. He slid under a desk then drew out four explosive arrows, Snake then leapt upward narrowly avoiding the last laser blast then fired the arrows into the barrel of the Laser Cannon. The arrows destroyed the Laser Cannon and the explosion stunned Big Boss, the madman regained his focus and aimed the Vulcan Gun,

"SHOW YOURSELF, YOU LITTLE BASTARD?!" demanded Big Boss, the smoke cleared to reveal a cardboard box remaining in the rubble. Big Boss sinisterly grinned,

"You think hiding in that box will protect you?! Remember who taught you that trick, boy!" Big Boss shouted as he fired the Vulcan Gun, obliterating the box but not Solid Snake. Confused, Big Boss suddenly heard the Rear Alert Pulse Sensor but he couldn't turn the Metal Gear in time as Solid Snake fired a barrage of explosive arrows onto the sensor. While Big Boss was turning, Solid followed up by firing arrow after arrow into the Antenna Module to destroy it.

"ENOUGH OF THIS!" angrily shouted Big Boss as he unloaded another barrage of rockets into the building Snake was in, breaking it into large chunks. Snake could feel the rumbling and the shift in position, he glanced up and saw the top part falling off.

" Here we go… " Snake thought. As the building was falling, coming into his point of view and standing in between him and Big Boss's Metal Gear, Snake started sprinting towards it. Big Boss was about to fire the Vulcan Gun and the rockets once more but then saw Solid leap out of the building and land on the falling broken portion of the building, sliding on it and moving towards the Metal Gear while the large portion was still in freefall. Before Big Boss could shoot, Solid fired multiple explosive arrows, hitting and destroying the Camera Eye, he could feel he had very little explosive arrows left, he needed to act quickly. Blinded, Big Boss was madly firing the rockets and Vulcan Gun, Snake then jumped upward towards the Metal Gear. He fired an arrow into the Nuclear Mount Module and another into the Vulcan Gun barrel, destroying the remaining weapons on the TX-55. Landing on top of the Metal Gear, Solid then ran, leapt off and fired three more arrows into the Computer Cooler and landing behind the Metal Gear, he could see the multiple sparks fly from the weakened mech, the fire emitting from the miniature internal explosions. He drew one arrow but noticed it wasn't explosive, Solid Snake almost panicked as he realized he was out of explosive arrows but then noticed his belt of grenades. With no time left and Big Boss occupied with trying to stabilize the mech, Solid Snake wrapped and tied the grenade belt onto the arrow. He began taking aim, holding his breath and locking his eyes onto the Air Nozzle,

"Lights out, Big Boss!" shouted Solid Snake as he fired the arrow into the Air Nozzle, pinning it inside the filter. Solid then drew out his M1911 and shot the grenade and blew up the Air Nozzle, delivering the killing blow onto the monstrous TX-55 Metal Gear.

"NOOO!" Big Boss shouted as he saw on the monitor the mech entering critical failure, exploding bits off itself. Big Boss quickly reached under the seat and pulled the ejector string, launching himself out of the cockpit and into the building that had Outer Heaven's emblem. Snake saw the Metal Gear destroy itself slowly, the legs blew apart and then the entire thing collapsed into pieces, blowing to smithereens as Solid Snake watched it finally collapse. He took a knee but he knew it wasn't over, he had one more thing to do, one more enemy to face. He tossed aside the bow and removed the quiver and got himself up, slowly making his way to the final showdown with the Commander of FOXHOUND.
