Flames of Revenge

Instantly, father and son charged at each other, Snake and Big Boss struck each other in the face then went for the ribs then both collided roundhouse kicks. Big Boss stumbled back then swung a kick to Snake's ribs but he caught it then charged forward with a knee strike to the jaw. Snake wrapped Big Boss's head in a guillotine but Big Boss expected this so he pushed him off then tossed Snake over his shoulder. Unexpected to Big Boss, Solid didn't go fully over as he caught himself by grabbing onto Big Boss's head and came down, rocking him with a shoulder jawbreaker. Following up, Snake kicked Big Boss, flipped up then spun around to strike him with a roundhouse. Snake's assault wasn't done there as he continued to pummel Big Boss's ribs but the commander caught the insane operative's last punch then slammed his elbow into Snake's shoulder, popping it out. Ignoring the pain, Snake swung himself into Big Boss, popping his shoulder back in place and followed up with a punch. Big Boss was going to punch but Snake kicked his leg, leapt onto him then DDT'd Big Boss but the commander wrapped his arms around Snake then pressed onto his back and slammed him into a Northern Lights Suplex. Big Boss then attempted to lift Snake but the operative managed to toss his father over his hip and break free from his grip. Big Boss charged at his son and tried to clothesline him but Snake ducked and went for a 360 split kick but Big Boss countered by leaping, twirled and struck Snake with a roundhouse. The FOXHOUND operative caught himself and flipped backwards as he saw his father charged at him once more, he ran back and went behind him then lifted Big Boss into a German suplex. Suddenly, Big Boss struck Solid in the groin with a kick to free himself from another German suplex, he turned around and put Snake in a clinch to strike him with a knee then cracked him with an elbow then ran to his gun,

"Allow me to reintroduce you to the Patriot!" Big Boss shouted as he fired the rounds at Solid Snake but his son leapt out the way to avoid the gunfire.

"Infinite ammo, you can't escape from me!" shouted Big Boss as he followed the blood trail once more. Snake patted himself down but didn't have a weapon anymore to use except his knife, he then grabbed the spray from Jennifer and then saw his lighter. It was there through that gunfire he got an idea, he got his lighter in one hand and waited for Big Boss to get closer. Big Boss had a grin on his face as he was preparing to turn the corner, seeing Snake's blood trail fail him.

"Game over…Solid Snake!" declared Big Boss but then Snake aimed the lighter and spray in front of Big Boss,

"No but you're fired!" Snake shouted back as he sprayed into the lighter, igniting the spray and shooting flames at Big Boss. Overwhelmed and engulfed by the flames, Big Boss dropped The Patriot and was stumbling backwards as Solid kept spraying him with flames. With one last effort, Snake threw the spray at the burning Big Boss, watching the flames completely and falling onto his back to die. Solid Snake sighed in relief, everything was finally over, all of this Outer Heaven nonsense and his cult was over but Snake knew he wasn't happy. As he stared at Big Boss's burning corpse, he still felt that void that this mission left inside his heart. He didn't react, not even smile through his bloody face, all he could do was simply get up and walk to the exit. As he walked, he saw Holly coming downstairs, she looked at him and hurriedly ran towards him,

"Snake! Snake, it's going to be ok, the plane is coming here and they're going to bomb this place. Just relax for now." Holly reassured as she put his arm over her shoulder, she went on to carry Snake out of the base and into the jungles of Zanzibar Lands where a plane was waiting for them, Holly got Snake onto the plane and had him lay down on the bench as she rushed to get medical equipment. The cargo doors closed and the plane took off from Zanzibar Lands, flying away from the bombardment of missiles onto the country of the Outer Heaven army. An hour passed on the plane, Snake was cleaned up from the blood on his face and his cuts were stitched together while Holly was in the cockpit with the pilot on a codec call,

"Yeah, Big Boss is dead and the mission went well but I'm very much worried about him. I know if I went through something like this, I wouldn't be right in the head." Holly said,

"He needs space right now, everything on that mission was extremely overwhelming and he feels drained right now." Meryl replied,

"Yeah…you think he'll be alright, Meryl?" asked Holly, Meryl paused briefly,

"I hope so…I really hope so, keep an eye on him, we'll talk more when you get to DC." Meryl said before she hung up. Holly looked at Snake who now has a cigarette in his mouth, she felt bad for him and a part of felt guilty for not being there for him during that entire fight but she couldn't do anything in the moment. All she can do now is just sit on her seat and relax as the plane continues to DC, trying to put this mission behind them.
