Shimmer Was WHAT!?
Gloom's POV.

"So Shimmer was the one who..." Freminet trailed off for me to continue, "Yes she did..." I confirmed, facepalming at hearing it again, "I mean, I agree with her, she told me what the guy would have done if not the world meging happening." I clarified, not wanting to make it sound like Shimmer was being paranoid.
With this Father sighed, "As much of a... Proactive move that might be... She just put a massive target on her back." She noted, to which I nodded in agreement, "No offense, but your girlfriend is a massive idiot sometimes." Lyney said with a slight frown, "That's why I love her." I responded with a fond smile.
Now that the 'venting session' was over, I proceeded to get up and go back to check up on my meadery, but at that moment, Focalors and Furina burst in holding a spherical object, "GUYS!! SHIMMER GOT SHOT!!" Furina yelled in a panic, promting me to rush to them and grab what I realized was Shimmers Core, "WHAT!? HOW!? WHO!?!?" I questioned, not bothering to hide the anger, fear and sadness in my voice.
"WE DON'T KNOW! WE WERE JUST TALKING AND THEN SHE GOT A HOLE IN HER HEAD AND RETRACTED INTO THIS!" Furina recalled the events, only making me angried, at which moment I ran out of the building to at least try and figure out who did it.
Arlecchino's POV.
Looking at my adoptive daughter run out, I felt slightly glad she was this focused on doing what's right, "With how the Fatui were, moments like these are great." I commented before turning to the core she left on the table, "Looks undamaged, so she shouldn't take too long recovering." I said to reassure those still present.
"Recovery!? She got shot in the head!" Focalors pointed out with a weirded out tone at how calm I was, "Elementals only project an external form, the actual body is the core." I explained calmly as I picked up said core, "We know because an accident happened with Gloom once and it really freaked everyone out." Lynette explained for me.
Everyone seemed to calm down with that, and Focalors used Hydro to heal Shimmer through the core, who reformed a moment after, "Oh God! Is that what being shot feels like!?" She questioned, checking her head to figure out if she had a hole somewhere, "Don't worry, you're healed." Freminet reassured, making Shimmer stop her check.
Having a moment of calm, I turned to the two half Archons, "We need to investigate this, where was she shot?" I questioned, to which they then led us to the area, "This is the place." Focalors said, prompting me to look on the ground a bit, until I found a bullet, "Here's a clue." I told everyone else.
"That looks like a bullet Malavia had in her hideout, so it must have come from Remnant." Shimmer commented, recognizing the appearence, "So we should ask Malavia." Freminet concluded, looking over at Shimmer who made a call with a scroll said mob boss gave to her.
Gloom's POV.
After a while of launching myself with my tentacles, I finally arrived to Luminaera, "Now... Hey you! With the fox ears!" I called out to a Faunus, "Has any vehicle from your world passed by here?" I questioned him, "Uhh... The leader of Blasphemy X came asking questions a while ago, I overheard some stuff from listening to what she asked the recently enstablished police force, but not much more." He recalled.
I groaned at that, not having gotten much from that, "Thank you." I said before heading off to look for an officer, and I ran into one after a bit, "Hey, aren't you miss Shimmers girlfriend?" He asked and I nodded in response, "Listen, did Malavia, ask you something?" I questioned him with a stern tone, "Not personally, but we did recieve the order to watch out for suspicious activity from Atlas." He explained.
"I see, thank you." I nodded to him and then headed off, "I thought she was exaggerating when she said Atlas would be a pain..." I muttered to myself, wondering what to do next, "I need informations, but I can't go to Remnant, it would make it obvious... The information leak should make it easier." I thought outloud, thinking to some world Shimmer listed.
Shimmer's POV.
Soon after the call, Malavia appeared in front of us, "I'm guessing this isn't a courtesy call." She said with a slight frown, "Of course not." Arlecchino confirmed, "Look, knowing your status as an Algod, you're the only one who could find out so soon Shimmer killed Ironwood, did you tell anyone?" Focalors questioned, "No I didn't, but I figured something might happen." Malavia explained.
"Okay, I know who it is, but the problem is still finding her." I brought up, "Of course you know, who is it?" Lyney asked, "Winter Schnee, she worked directly under Ironwood so It's not far fetched to say she could order an attack." I explained quickly, "Why a Schnee!? Is the only non problematic one Weiss!?" Malavia lamented in frustration.
After this was brought up, Arlecchino groaned in frustration, "This isn't good, you know by now Gloom doesn't have the best temper." She pointed out making me realize that me being shot must have angered her a lot, "I know, but she might just lash out at some slimes." I suggested, but Arlecchino shook her head, "No, Gloom can focus really when angry, meaning she will try to find who it was." She explained.
With that point brought up, all of us brought our hands to our faces, "So this isn't just about Winter anymore, we need to stop Gloom." Malavia summarized, knowing things could get really ugly if nothing was done.
