After a night of self-pity and fear and eating even more of the roasted dog than I would like to admit, it was morning once again.
The truth was I really didn't even know if I really wanted to live this life that was pushed onto me, I was in a dangerous world, and making it even worst the values I have don't mean anything here.
The fact of the matter was if I wanted to survive I needed to be ready to kill and inflict pain onto others, and if I want able to do that it would be best that I didn't leave this forest even if I could, as I would just become the victim of another person.
As the sun shined into my eyes, bringing me from my thoughts, I managed to stand up as some strength had returned to my new body and for the first time since I've had it, I wasn't hungry.
I looked around, and the forest seemed so dangerous, but I could not stay here. It was already a blessing that I made it through the night in one piece.
I looked down, inspecting my new body. My ribs are showing my arms and legs had no muscles, and my body was barely covered as I wore what had lost the right to be called clothing. Most of my body was exposed and dirty, but right now, hygiene was very low down on my list of problems.
I stood looking around, trying to figure out where exactly to go, but I soon realized that was pointless.
I didn't know where I was, which way was the right way, or even where I wanted to go, so I simply took a step forward as I felt it was the right choice, as if I was being guided in that direction.
As I walked through this forest, I constantly watched my surroundings with every step, I didn't know what animal lived here, and I didn't want to be attacked again.
I took my time waking so as not to deplete the little energy I had, but as the hours passed by, hungry once again showed its ugly head.
I hadn't seen any fruits I recognized, and of those I did see, I didn't trust myself enough to know which was not poisonous, so I left them alone and continued on my way.
Now I was sweating and hungry, and most of all tired, I really didn't know if to continue or take a break.
CRACK!!!!!!
"!!!"
The snap of a twig alerted me that I wasn't alone, and as I turned to see my visitor, my heart almost left my chest, only to be met with a brown rabbit staring at me.
" Sigh!!!"
As the fear disappeared and my heart returned to its rightful place, a new feeling started to take over the hungry drove me to want to hunt this rabbit, I was sure it would taste better than the roasted dog I ate a while ago.
As I was about to make my move to capture my dinner, the rabbit hopped back through the bush, seeming as if trying to escape.
I quickly ran after it, even though I was already tired and starving. I still followed it closely, I hadn't thought of how exactly I was going to catch it, but I believed everything would work out.
As I ran after the rabbit dodging trees and jumping over stones soon, we came upon a huge cave it finally slowed to a stop and turned to watch me as I continued to approach it.
" You have nowhere else to run now."
As I threw myself at the rabbit hoping to catch it, it jumped to the right escaping capture as it watched me before running away.
" Wait!!!!"
I tried to get up quickly but slipped, as I was about to try again. I was interrupted...
"ROAR!!!"
Out of the corner of my eyes, I could see it coming out of the cave, a gigantic bear.
I stood on its hind legs as it roared at me, and again, I was filled with fear.
It dropped to all four, as it rushed towards me, seeing this I reacted as quickly as I could bitting my tongue to snap me out of my fear and jumped to the side dodging its first attack.
My action seemed to anger it as it roared once more. It attacked again and again, and somehow, I managed to dodge its attacks with my tired body.
But I soon realized I wasn't dodging it was allowing me to dodge it as it led me into its cave, which was a dead end.
By the time I realized it was already too late, I was already one foot into its cave with absolutely no way out except through the entrance, which was now blocked by a hungry bear.
Knowing it had me corned, the bear slowly made its way towards me as I retreated further into its lair until my back hit a wall.
' Well, this is it, I guess. It could have been worse, but I'm sure it will be painful.' I thought to myself as the bear approached.
