Chapter 8: Trouble On A Day Off

The Mato Gates that do not disappear have a fixed entrance and exit. The gate located at the 5th Unit's dorm connects to Yamagata. The place where I currently am.

Today was an off day and Kyouka asked to come with her somewhere. I was waiting for her outside the Yamagata Gate's building. I waited for a few minutes and then finally she came and my god did she look beautiful.

She wore a floral pattern shirt with a white skirt and black leggings. She wore her usual ear accessories and had a small purse which matched with her outfit and black heels.

"Sorry for the wait." She said. "H-Holy..... You look incredibly beautiful" I said with a little stutter due to the shock seeing something so beautiful. "Shut up" She mumbled with a small blush but she looked happy about the compliment.

"We'll go from train. I'll enter you as my partner" She said with a small happy smile.

A 'Partner' is an ID that only women can issue to a single man. When a man accompanying a woman has this ID, special privileges are granted to them.

We were on the women's train and I was obviously sitting next to Kyouka who was resting with her head down. I looked at her and thought, 'From the route of the train I can already guess where we are going. Her Hometown. I guess she still doesn't feel comfortable going there alone.'

"You've been pretty calm considering this is your first time in women's transportation." She said as she suddenly looked up. Damn, her awareness and senses are on point.

"This isn't my first time here. I travel through women's trains all the time. Ain't nobody gonna stop me. And you have no idea just how packed the men's transportation is." I said as I shuddered remembering some unpleasant memories. One time some old dude thought that I was a girl with my long hair and a little feminine face and actually groped my butt. I broke his hand.

She just looked at me and sighed as she put her head down once again. After around 10 minutes we reached the station and went to her town's grave. It was dedicated to the residents of the town who lost their lives in the Mato Disaster.

"The number of demons who found their way into our world was in dozens. But there was a specially strong one among them." She said as she bent down to put the flowers she bought as offerings. "I remember him clearly. He had an abnormally large horn. I call him the 'One-Horned' " She said while still on one knee.

"The shuuki who came here were annihilated by the Anti-Demon Corps of rushed here, or so I thought. Once I read the Corps' logs, I learned that only the 'One-Horned' escaped through the gate back to Mato." I didn't say anything and just stood behind her and let her complete what she was saying.

"Of all the shuuki, he's the one that I will especially never forgive." She said through gritted teeth in anger. "I will cut him to pieces" She said while putting emphasis on will.

"I want you to keep that in mind when we fight him. Thats what I wanted to tell you today." She said. "I will avenge my town"

-----Back In The City-----

We came back to the city and neither of us has talked much since then. "Were going back to Mato" She said. I wanted to lighten the mood a little and get rid of this awkward silence so I hurriedly said, "Wait a second! Lets go to that cafe over there! It's newly opened and has really good reviews from the customers. Its parfait is currently a hot topic!" I said pointing to the currently trending cafe I saw on social media by accident.

"But I'm worried about Mato" Kyouka said with a deadpan expression. I quickly pulled out my phone and showed her a photo of the parfait and said, "But look! Doesn't this look delicious?!"

"....Fine, we can take a small break." She finally relented. We went inside the cafe and took a seat next to the window.

"You're more coercive that I thought. I'm impressed." She said while drinking a glass of water. "Well, I wanted to eat here too and I know you have a little sweet tooth." He said with a smile.

"But I'm worried about the situation in Mato. Its making me uneasy." She said while looking out the window. "If if keep working like you do you'll break down before avenging your town y'know." He said while looking at her. She looked at him with a thoughtful look and said, "You know, you're right. I'll enjoy this for now." Soon the parfaits came and they were really good. Definitely worth the attention its getting.

I looked towards Kyouka and saw her with a big happy smile on her face while eating the parfait. "This is good" She said with the smile still present on her face. I just stared at her for a minute before she noticed and said, "What?" with a confused expression.

"You look many times cuter with a smile on your face y'know" I said honestly. She really did look so much cuter. She face exploded in a massive blush as she continued eating without saying anything.

After a few minutes he phone made a trumpet sound as we both got alerted. "An emergency in Mato! If the trumpet plays once, then lives aren't in danger but an emergency is happening." Kyouka said. "That's it for our day off, we will have to go right now!!" She exclaimed as she put her hand in front of me.

I didn't use a shadow clone this time as I too had to got to the same location as her. I licked her hand and transformed while she sat on my back holding the chains to the slave collar. I dashed towards the fixed gate goings way faster than a train.

"Kyouka! Hold on tight!!" I warned her as I increased my speed by using shunshin. We were do fast that we reached back to our base within minutes. I transformed back into a human right outside Kyouka's room.

"We came back almost instantly. Well done." She praised me as I just gave her a thumbs up. "I'll change now" She said. I was about to go away but she stopped me, "Wait. Help me unchange." She sai as she sat on her bed with one of her legs raised.

"Is this the reward this time?" I asked once to confirm. "As if I'd do this for any other reason!!" She shouted with a blush on her face. "Oh? I think you would~~" I teased her. "Just do it already!!" She shouted with an even redder face.

I bent down and started removing her leggings making her thicc thighs visible. "Ooh~ White, Nice!" I said as I looked at her panties. "Just... shut.... up already" She said in embarassment. I then proceeded to remove all her clothing untill she was completely naked.

I saw the garden of eden, and it didn't have any trees. I then quickly dressed her up since it was an emergency. Goddammit just let me find the cause of this emergency and I'll beat it to death. I couldn't enjoy my reward because of it.

We hurried to the meeting room and saw that everyone was already present there. "We have found this during today's patrol." Himari said as she showed us a tablet showing the top view of the location. "In what seems to be a crater 21 KMs north, an impressive amount of shuuki are hiding. Nei is watching them even now through clairvoyance." Himari concluded.

Nei who had her eyes closed said, "There are no signs of anything coming out of it. Its as of it were a nest." She directly confirmed everyone thought.

"Well done." Kyouka said to them. "A nest is worth destroying! We'll also be able to ascertain more about their lives. This will be a great job for the 7th Unit!" Kyouka exclaimed. 'A nest huh. That's rather unusual. There has been no sightings or news about a nest so I believe it will be the first time anyone has seen this.' I thought to myself.

-----Somewhere In Mato-----

-----3rd Person POV-----

You could see an beautiful woman with long white hair with two strands that stick up and two others which seems to orbit around her hair and gold slit eyes. She wore a black skintight suit with white overcoat and boots that have black markings.

She was sitting on the back of a hulk sized One-Horned shuuki while holding some Peaches with her hair

"This presence I felt earlier..... Was it Shiki's? Has he come to Mato? If so, I have to go see him." She said with a small smile.

-----The Crater-----

Shiki and the rest of the unit arrived at the location and were standing as per formation. "There certainly are alot of them. Let's get this done quick." Shiki said as he stood beside Kyouka who was sitting on a clone slave. "You don't have to do anything. Only get involved if there is an emergency." Kyouka ordered.

"Tch. Stingy Chief." Shiki said as he clicked his tongue. "We will destroy them with the coordination of the 7th unit." She said completely ignoring what Shiki said. "We will start off with dealing alot of damage with Shushu's attack." She said as Shushu's gigantified fist fell on the hoard if shuuki killing and injuring alot in the process.

"Himari will deal with the injured shuuki" She said as Himari began mowing down shuuki woth her machine gun arm. "This will leave them to have no choice but to combine." She completed her strategy as the shuuki began to combine just as she said. "That's a good plan, simple and straightforward." Shiki complimented.

Suddenly Shiki got fully alerted when he sensed something coming at high speeds towards Shushu. Whatever it was, it was strong. He threw a three pronged kunai towards Shushu's direction with full force. Just as the kunai came right in front of Shushu he teleported to it and grabbed the kunai but all of a sudden a powerful punch hit him which he blocked by crossing his arms in front of his chest.

The blow was so strong that even he got blown off a little when he tanked it. The One-Horned shuuki which hit him landed on the ground with a lady on its back.

"I'm here for the party!!" The lady shouted cheerfully while waving one of her hands. "Its him!!" Kyouka shouted as her face twisted in anger and she grit her teeth when she saw the One-Horned. Ot was the same shuuki that destroyed her hometown.

"What is that!? Some monster!?" Himari shouted as she started shooting at the one riding the shuuki. But all her bullets were blocked by the hair of the lady.

"You're calling me a monster, aren't you? Just so you know I'm monster at arguments!!" The mysterious lady said as she opened her mouth wide and shot a high powered highly destructive laser beam from her mouth.

Himari turned her arm into a shield when she saw this and waited for impact which never came. Instead she heard someone shouting.

A few moments ago Shiki came out of the rubble all dirty woth dirt in his mouth. When he saw Himari was about to be attacked he dashed towards her full speed and reached there in an instant as he shouted, "Chidori!!". He aimed the chidori at the incoming laser beam and split it in half. This jutsu wasn't called lighting cutter for fun.

Kyouka suddenly appeared behind the lady on the slave clone and swinged her sword full force at the mysterious lady who blocked it with the back of her hand as she said, "Oh my.... You're really strong!"

"She isn't the only one y'know!!" She heard as suddenly saw a sea of fire heading towards her. She tried to dodge it completely but she wasn't able to as the shuuki she was riding on got a little burnt. "You're even stronger!!" She shouted in surprise.

"Who are you!?" Shiki shouted. "You can call me the Counter Anti-Demon Corps." She said as she pulled out a few peaches using her hair. 'A Mato Peach!? One should be the limit, but she...' Kyouka thought in shock.

"By the way, have you seen my brother? His main trait is being the most handsome man to ever live." She said as she took a bite out of the peach.

As the some and the dust slowly settled Shiki stepped forward and started attacking both the lady and the shuuki woth Kyouka as support. He was only using small scale yet strong jutsus because he didn't want to hurt Kyouka or the rest of the unit. Against Shiki they both started getting completely overwhelmed. Suddenly more shuuki popped up around them and started attacking the rest of the unit who was exhausted after killing the remaining shuuki after the surprise attack.

"So you're their leader!" Shiki shouted while increasing the speed of his attacks. The monster lady had even more trouble blocking or parrying his attacks. She wasn't even able to attack him and was forced to the defensive.

"Kh.... You're half right about that! But you dont know anything about Mato, do you!? About this curse filled world!!" She shouted. "You're dance is getting a bit slower y'know!? This is getting boring!! I'll finish you off then!!" Shiki shouted as he activated his Mangekyou Sharingan to use Kamui on her and kill her. But just as he got a better look at her face he suddenly stopped and the same thing happened with her.

"It cant be...!" She said in surprise and shock and back off really quick. She was got under seconds. Shiki just stood there and thought, 'It cant be her right.....? T-There's no way....'

He then looked behind and saw the exhausted Shushu and Himari slowy getting overwhelmed by the shuuki. He rant to help them and killed more than half the shuuki at once.

Kyouka who saw him run off somewhere shouted, "What are you doing Shiki!? We have to....". When she looked behind she stopped mid sentence and saw that her subordinates were in no shape of fighting. She stood there for a second and punched herself hard on her face as she thought, 'Just what was going on with me? I lost myself to rage and almost lost my precious subordinates.'

"Shiki! Clear up all the remaining shuuki! I'll take them back!!" She ordered. She picked up Shushu and Himari and started going in the direction of the dorms on the clone slave.

Shiki didn't say anything and just stood there with his eyes shadowed with his hair. In a single flash he quickly unsheathed and sheathed his sword as the shuuki turned into minced meat behind him just right on the click sound of him sheathing. "Was that really her...?" He said outloud.
