Chang Xi's death stare

"Ah, ah, ah, I'm out of this game." Fanqia laid back with her hands up.

It left him with chuckles by glimpsing at her cuteness overload face. "What's with this reaction?"

"Chang Xi told me already that you are trying to ship her with Geng Xi." She declared, dropping her hand, that cuteness had faded.

Still, he couldn't mask his smile, admiring her innocence-shaded friendliness. "Will she even share this kind of thing?" He asked and was visibly unbelievable.

"Yes, there is nothing like'secret' between us." She haughtily said It also obtained his evanescent giggles in return, but he held back and nodded as if he understood her.

In the meantime, his smile narrowed as his mind trepidated. "She tells everything to her friend? Then what about the yesterday incident?"

He shot a fright-tinged glance back at her quickly. "Did you perhaps... know something about her first meeting with me?"

"Of course!"

She firmed, leaned forward, with tied her hands behind her waist to whisper near his ear, "Don't worry, I'm not a big mouth. Your secret will remain buried inside our memory."

She then straightened her posture and winked at him.

"Keep your word," he demanded with a serious look.

"Sure, Sir!" She saluted, respectively.

He burst into giggles again and folded his lips inward to handle his giggles. "Go and play now," he said. She left as he smiled delightfully at her.

At that moment, he saw Li Gi sitting on the bench under a tree shade and watching other girls play. Instantly, he dropped his smile, capturing her eagerness-leaking facial expression.

He turned to look at ChangXi doing a warm-up. Her look expressed jollity, even though she was playing herself.

What's wrong with her? He asked himself, looking at Li Gi.

He sat near Li Gi without letting her know. As she felt a shade fall over her, she casually turned to look at him.

She stood up quickly, took two steps back, and offered a bow before meeting his eyes.

"It's okay. Come and sit here." He tapped gently on the place where she had been.

As ambivalence held her mind, she sat near him, but at a little distance, and was nervous to see his face closer to her.

"Why are you all alone by yourself instead of playing with them?" he asked, looking at her staggered up and down movement of her throat.

"Hey, Are you okay?" He leaned to her front to check her state.

Shaking her head, she drew her consciousness back to normal and convinced her heart to act normal. However, her shaking Irish delivered her nervousness shamelessly.

"Are you okay?" he repeated.

Li Gi's body was goosebumps as it alarmed some dangerous feeling piercing her, and she felt like someone was watching them. She slowly drove her gaze to the running track and looked at the dark foam surrounding Chang Xi, staring at her fervently for a long time, which gave off a vibe of the devil threatening with its bloodiest eyes.

She slid her butt to four feet away from him quickly as Krish caught sight of frowning Chang Xi.

Letting out a sigh, he moved near her and gripped her wrist before she slid away again. "Do not be afraid of her. I will handle her. Just do inform me if she does something to you for this." His warm declaration calmed her fright in a trice.

"Holds her hand voluntarily?"

Chang Xi grinded her teeth, folded her fist, and her grip went vicious just when she noticed Li Gi was not looking like drifting his hand away from hers.

One of the students playing badminton caught sight of them having a little talk while holding hands. She gossiped in another girl's ear, and it chained students ears all over the playground.

"I think she is good at melting men's hearts—such a slut!"

A girl within the team of Fanqia said, biting her teeth in a temper.

Fanqia also watched their closeness of sitting.

With her head facing the ground, Li Gi said, "Honestly, I have no friends here."

"Why? Are your friends studying in another class?" he asked.

She shook her head emotionlessly and swallowed again, but this time it carried misery.

"What's the reason then?" he jumped into seriousness.

"I have no friends, sir." with a downcast voice, she said, choked him unexpectedly.

"No friends?" His voice barely embraced the flying breeze, twirling his face at a slow pace to see the students.

Those students, who had been watching them without even blinking for all the while now, switched back to playing mode in a rush before his gaze met them. They were all playing heartily and talking to each other while smiling. This was what he spotted.

The school bell rang. Glooming yellow with orange rays indicated it's time to leave the school.

"Okay, Li Gi. Let's meet in the sports room." He said, leaving once after whistling, to say dismiss.

"How dare you?" Chang Xi muttered inside and stomped steps towards Li Gi, who was unseated to leave the ground. Despite Krish filling her sight by coming to her, her focus was on Li Gi only.

Promptly, Krish lifted her onto his shoulder by clutching her waist while he was about to cross her. Her hands and legs were hanging in the air.

Geng Xi was dumbfounded and even forgot to swallow the water his mouth was filled with.

"Let me go!" She was thrashing her hands and legs on him as her fierce glare fixed on the frightened Li Gi standing right there with a shuddered heartbeat.

A slap fell on her butt; her whole body muted. However, her scowl towards Li Gi didn't lose its grip.

"Did she win his heart already?" Suilin mumbled. That was enough audible to GengXi that led him to divulge his despair.
