Valentina's heart thumped wildly in her chest as she stood frozen, watching the clash of fists before her. Fear and frustration intertwined inside her, making her stomach churn. She understood that Ronan was acting out of love for her, but his protectiveness had been consumed by raging anger.
Lucian, on the other hand, seemed to hold back despite his own fury, his movements calculated and controlled. A part of Valentina felt torn between them, unable to choose a side.
With a swift block, Lucian's voice rang out with strained composure. "This is unnecessary."
But Ronan paid no heed to his words, his features twisted into a mask of unbridled fury. "I won't let you manipulate her any longer, Bloodsucker!"
Valentina could take no more. Her feet moved before she was even aware of it, and she stepped between them, determined to put an end to their destructive conflict.
