Hanging Out With My Gurls!

Keya POV

(In the Spirit Realm)

I wake up to the beautiful singing of some songbirds. It reminds me of the pleasant plucking of a Harpsichord. I've always wanted to learn how to play one. I learned how to play Piano last school year and I enjoy playing the few songs that I learned like Fur Elise and Moonlight Sonata. When I was younger I had learned how to play the Cello and even went on a field trip to the Symphony Orchestra, I loved it! It set me off on a journey to listen to music that I wasn't used to like Classical.

I grew up hearing my family play lots of R&B, Smooth Jazz, Blues and a little bit of Rap, Rock, Pop, Country & Hip-Hop. So naturally I love listening to it as well. But I absolutely love listening to Classical music especially when I'm cooking, cleaning up, doing laundry and my homework. Also while I'm exercising and walking to or from school, I have a Sony Walkman and lots of cassette tapes. I got it for Christmas a few years back and haven't put it down since.

I could lay here for hours and enjoy it but... 'Rukeya?' I hear Ja'el asks softly, I still had my eyes closed enjoying the birds and ignored her. 'Gurl I know you're not sleep, Get Up!' she says annoyed and nudges me with her wet nose playfully. I roll over into the grass soaked with morning dew a giggling mess. My tank top and panties getting wet but it feels good against my hot skin, my body is always hot. I let out a big yawn while stretching myself out still chuckling and sit up opening my eyes. 'Wasn't sleeping just enjoying the birds singing Ja'el. I wonder what they're singing about? -I found some berries on a branch and a worm in the grass. I hope that today no predator will eat my tiny ass!-' I laughed imagining the scene, I hear Ja'el laughing in my head too. I see her tongue hanging out, and her shoulders moving up & down, a twinkling in her dark blue eyes, she's beautiful! The sunshine is dancing off the silver in her fur creating a dazzling rainbow of colors.

'Ja'el you are absolutely gorgeous!' I whisper in breathy amazement. My comment must have made her feel really good because I heard her gasp in my head. Her eyes grew big then she blinked and her mouth opened partly. And all of her fur slowly rose up. She stood up and shook it out, creating more sparkles of colors. Before sitting down and looking at me appreciatively, 'Why did your fur fluff up?' I ask curiously, she says, 'I blush and get goosebumps when complimented too you know.' Oh wow, I didn't know that, I smiled. 'So when are you going to ask your Grammy about this info?' 'During this trip, I just don't know how she'll react to it.' I reply frowning slightly, 'Don't worry too much about it okay, because we're here to help you along the way.' My smile widened feeling better until I remember her saying 'we're'.

But I didn't have time to fully dwell on it before I hear the snapping of twigs or roots. And seen those same thick green vines from earlier, sprout from the grass in front of me. The same vines that I seen wrap around Manny! They swirl upwards and take the shape of a 4ft tall silhouette. And as quickly as they sprouted they dissipated revealing a young & beautiful, voluptuous dark skinned lady. She was adorned in a golden silky, thigh high dress wearing no shoes and was sporting a huge curly brunette afro. She had a sultry smirk on her face, "I'm Yuridicae, but you can call me Yuri. And I'm your Fairy!" I jumped back a little surprised at her suddenness, my palms landing on the wet grass. I remember hearing her voice earlier, she was the one I heard with Ja'el. She smiled, squats down and gives me a warm hug!

She smells like nature if that makes sense. Crystal clear spring water, warm summer soil, wet autumn grass and crisp clean winter air, it was extremely refreshing! I hug her back already feeling our connection growing. "You helped me out earlier, thanks so much for that!" I am really grateful for her because I had no clue what to do. I just know I didn't want him to hurt my family.

"Well we ain't gonna let anything like that happen okay? We've got your back Gurl and we mean it!" Yuri says determinedly and I can hear a bit of a southern twang in her voice. I hug her tighter before letting her go. "Thanks! So you're my fairy, cool. I feel blessed to have all of y'alls support!" And I meant it, I can't wait to tell Manny this good news. "Rukeya we've always been here with you. Even if we were just a small voice in the back of your mind. We were always here guiding you. Abijah should be around here somewhere.." She says looking around for someone, "Who's that?" I ask and notice how as her eyes land on something in the distance, that I couldn't see. She starts moving towards it saying, "Abijah is your Angel she's small but powerful!" I get up from the ground and follow behind her. I notice how she doesn't walk but float, her feet a few inches off the ground. I feel low thumps behind me and see that it's just Ja'el walking with us.

We walked for a few minutes in silence, until I feel a comforting warmth in the air surrounding us. "Ja'el where are we?" I ask curiously, she replies matter of factly, 'In the Spirit Realm.' "The Spirit Realm?" I ask her, I vaguely remember my Grammy talking about a spirit realm so years ago. 'Yes it's where we reside inside of you. I've been here since my Mom sent me to be your wolf. Do you like it, we all helped in decorating it?' She asks enthusiatically, I look around admiring the landscape more thoroughly. Wow, "How did y'all decorate this?!" I ask her intrigued Yuri turns around saying, "With our powers of course!" Really, "You mean y'all have the power grow things like trees and stuff?" "Yes we do!" I was overly excited. "Can I do things like this too?!"

Yuri turns around to me while still floating backwards, "Yes Rukeya you can do all of the things that we can do!" "What, Really!! Oh man this is amazing! I can't wait to start learning this stuff!" I say while literally jumping for joy. I can't wait to start growing my own food. I've always wanted to own some land so I can grow my own food, raise me some livestock and build a log cabin. I know that I'm a city girl but I've always felt like a country girl. I used to watch all of these old John Wayne Country Western films with my Great Grand Dad when I was younger. And utterly fell in love with the old pilgrim way of life. Which is half of the reason that I want to become an architect. So that I can build my own log cabin. I love the woodsy smell of Evergreen trees and would completely adore a whole home that was rich with fresh Cedar and Pine scents.

"Rukeya you know that if you wanted to build you a home here you totally can." Yuri says and Ja'el adds, 'Yes and you can decorate it anyway that you want to.' Gasps, "No Way Are You Serious?!" They both nod and I scream because I was stupid happy at the thought of building my own home! "So when can I get started?" Yuri chuckles patting my cheek, "Soon but you need to meet Abijah first, we're almost there." I am really trying to contain my excitement but I'm really happy. "So how did y'all end up in here, in me?" Ja'el speaks, "We have been here since you were born, Rukeya. We are a part of you eternally. We can never leave you, okay. We are your gurls for life!" I love the sound of that!

Next thing I see was this small glowing figure hovering several feet off the ground. 'Rukeya, pleasure to meet you face to face.' I hear her in my head just like I hear Ja'el in my head. I think that it's like a type of mindlink. But she does not look at me. I look over to a tiny clearing in the trees and see this young dark skinned girl. She looks no older than me wearing a white cotton and lace dress. She sat with her legs crossed and her arms out, palms facing up to the sky with her head back. If I had to guess, I would say she was worshipping or praising the Father! 'Is she okay?' I ask Ja'el who replies, 'Yes she is always Praising. It's just what she does all the time.' Oh ok, 'It's great to meet you also, Abijah. Are you the one that heals?' I ask her, her arms lowering to her sides and she looks at me and humbly nods. 'Yes.'

Her voice was small and sweet but strong, it made me feel so positive like everything was going to be alright in my life. 'I want to truly thank you for all of the times that you have helped me heal someone. You are a real blessing, all of you are. And I thank GOD for you all!' We all sorta did a group hug and started talking about several things. Like the possibility of Manny being our Mate, how exactly to bring up this info to Grammy and the Family. How to bring this situation up to my Dad and his family. And while we talked I picked out a cozy spot to build my log cabin. They showed me a few tips and tricks but I caught on very quickly. And using my newfound powers we designed and decorated a large cabin. Just by thinking of the type of furniture that I wanted in there. It appeared and it took all day but we finished and chilled on the floor of the massive family room.

The Cabin has six big bedrooms, three bathrooms, spacious kitchen with a separate dining area and the massive family/living room. There's a fireplace in here and a small creek that flows from the backyard through the kitchen, dining room and living room to the front yard. Floor to ceiling glass walls and windows to accent the wood and stone design. I completely adore it! I wake up in My Papis' arms and can't wait to tell him about my night. Hanging out with my gurls!
