Rhett sounded stressed. "Listen, Isleen, you have to calm down. We still have to be careful. I don't know if I've told you this before, but there's only one way to kill the vampire."
I drew in a deep breath as I watched 'Cullen' disappear out of sight. I couldn't help worrying about Kylo and his relationship with him.
If he was really the vampire, then what was his ultimate goal? What did he want with me or Kylo?
"I'm trying my best to 'stay calm' here, Rhett." I brushed my hand through my hair, as I took one final glance at Lupe's silver dagger, feeling the cold metal of the blade.
I eventually placed it on top of my drawer, mentally promising myself to avenge Lupe.
I quickly changed my clothing to a pair of joggers and a tank top. I walked up to the mirror and tied back my hair into a bun as I anticipated the rest of whatever Rhett had to say.
"Fire." He suddenly blurted from the other end, causing me to snap my brows into a frown.
