A Day Off
When Miriam woke up, she felt her entire body sore. Memory of last soon returned, causing the blonde to squeak and returned to the cover. Only to realize she was heading into the dragon's mouth, or in her case, Ryker's muscular torso.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asked, his arms wrapping around her, preventing the blonde bombshell from escaping.

Miriam soon learned of the name of the brunette (Ina) and blonde (Era). She also learned of one important thing about this family.
"Wow! We going to have another big sister!" one of the boy yelled in excitement, with the rest of the little one circling her, excited at the prospect of having another big sister, at least from their excited yell and chant of big sister.
"They are just excited," Ina said, as she pat the head of the little ones. Miriam copied her action, causing the rest of them to ask for head pats.
She gave them all headpats because she is not heartless. The blonde turned towards her Mas-, Ryker, who has in his arms the cutest toddler she had ever seen.
The little girl looked at her before spreading her arms, asking for a hug. She did as she asked, the little girl giggling. She lightly stroke the little girl back, before a larger arm wrapped around her, giving her the feeling of safety and comfort.
It is at that moment did Miriam feel like she was in a true family, where they would cherish one another instead of using them and throwing them like trash. Tears threaten to fall but she blinked them away, not wanting to ruin the joyous occasion.
She was happy. Happy with the new family she get, and happy to be with the man that give this to her.

"This is what we agreed with," the captain of the guard said. Ryker inspect all the storage rings he just receive. He crunch the number in his head and nodded, seeing the amount is correct.
"In that case, I will take my leave soon," the man cocked an eyebrows before he make an understanding sound.
"You are heading for the capital, right?" he nodded. "Travellers, right?" he nodded as well. It is no secret at this point, even the fact he now traveled with three women is known by those related to the city lords, seeing his assistance helped in dealing with an inside threat, one they did not know off.
"In that case, take this," he handed a piece of paper, tied neatly.
"This is a map of the Barony. It should help you travel to the capital and avoid some of the dangerous places," he explained.
Ryker nodded, though he probably check the dangerous place in question.
"By the way, you can enter the vault by tomorrow. Aside from the items at the deepest section, you are allowed to take anything else," Ryker nodded. After all, he still did not refine the Deep Lake Lotus just yet, too busy spending time with his family.
"Alright captain. I will see you tomorrow," he said his farewell before making his way back to the inn.

"This should be enough," Ryker exclaimed, sitting in lotus style. He put the Water-attributes treasures in front of him, before willing himself to absorb the water energy inside. As he had the experience in absorbing the different energy, as well as learning two different Cultivation Arts, he has some experience in absorbing the energy.
He began to refine the Deep Lake Lotus, absorbing the water energy and comprehending the Law of Water with the Unfathomable Water Scripture. He could feel his comprehension of the Law of Water getting better by the seconds.

It took him three hours to fully refine and absorb the Deep Lake Lotus, a testament to how powerful the natural treasure is.
"Though, it is worth the time," Ryker said before exploring the depth of his Inner Realm. Aside from clump of qi, there are three foreign object inside, small rock, a path of black mist and a water droplet, all three representing his mastery of Law of Earth, Darkness, and Water, respectively.
"Father and mother said that I will become stronger, but I don't feel that much stronger. Maybe there is more to it," he mused. He also check his cultivation, having reach the peak of Genesis Formation by the time he finished refining the lotus.
He quickly focused on stabilizing his foundation, not wanting to learn how qi deviation feel like.
