The two princesses went silent from his speech, digesting his words. Ryker did not mind. Better for them to think of the reason why they want to become adventurers now, than later.
The two guards also went silent, but this time, did not look disapproving at him. He did not care for what their thought of course, but it is nice to not be glared all the time.
After nearly half an hour, the two looked up, steel in their eyes. "Both of us want to become adventurers because father and Lariz said it is a good way to temper ourself. We are here as adventurers to be somewhat independent, and able to handle ourself in the face of danger and difficulty,"
Hearing Dory speak for the two of them, Ryker nod. Their reason is different, as he become an adventurer for necessities. But in the end, it is just reason for becoming one. While it could be a drive for the adventurer in question, what the adventurers do in the face of hardship would be the true gauge of their strength.
In fact, it is not just adventurers. Everyone in the face of hardships would reveal their will, strength, and abilities. Those that were broken down by it will never hope to rise. But those that were pushed by it, but manage to get up stronger than ever, would rise to an even greater height.
Whether the two will be able to live up to the reason, is up for them. Only they could shape themselves after a hardship. He is only here to give advise, guide and protect them from beasts they could not hope to beat as of yet.
"Good, but what will you do to complete your mission?" this is the more important question. They are two ways they can do it, on the assumption that the Blood Hawk are a pair and already have a chick, or at least an egg.
First, they can do like what most normal adventurers do and kill the parents, before taking the egg or chick to be sold in the market. After all, a Blood Hawk, with enough resource, can reach the strength of peak Genesis Sea expert. And if they manage to find the resources needed to help the beast evolve, they would have a Spirit Beast instead.
The second way is by diverting the attention of the Blood Hawks, before moving the best away. It is much harder as the Blood Hawk would sense it and attack them to protect their young. It is not a common used method though it is still used by the one with clear conscious.
After all, certain Cultivation Art require one to be kind. Not to mention, some cultivators are kind to other living being, to the point killing for reason other than self-protection and maybe for eating can cause a heart demon to form.
His question is to find out whether they are the kinder cultivation of the later type or they can be ruthless if needed to.
"We will deal with the Blood Hawks. As for the young, we will raise them," the two said at once, to the point he thought they were twins with abilities to read each other thought. A glance reveal the two guards likely think the same thing.
"Good," he nodded at the two. "Come up with a plan first, then tell me about it. Only after I listen to it will I approve of the plan or not," he told them, who nodded in understanding.

It took them half an hour before coming up with a plan. Of course, they don't spend half an hour to come up with the plan, only the last 10 minutes as they spend the early minutes scouting the area, and understanding the terrain and how to use it to help with the mission.
Though, they do ask for some assistance, to which he did not really mind. After all, they are here to learn, and some thing should be asked without having to undergo a Trial by Fire.
With his and the two guards assistance, the princess are finally ready with their plan.

Considering the two Blood Hawk are soaring in the sky, it make it hard to hit them, especially when no one in the group possess great skills in archery or any other projectile weapons.
Thankfully, Brya posses a crossbow that would work in such instance. The power of the item are not great, but it is enough to make them afraid.
So, when one of the Blood Hawk come close enough, the gray-haired princess fired the bolt, heading straight to the bigger Blood Hawk. The crossbow is capable of sending the bullets to travel through space, and so even if it is noticed, very few can avoid the item in question.
The crossbow bolt manage to hit the Blood Hawk on the head, though not killing it. As the beast stagger, the other one realise the present of the human and screeched, diving towards them.
However, Dory is prepared, summoning a shield and blocking the attack, though it did push her back a little. As the eagle come for another dive, Dory took out a fan before waving the fan, unleashing a gust of wind to the enemies and making their movement wonky.
Unable to stabilize themselves, the eagle try to fly away but was stopped when Brya fire another bolt to the wing, causing a hole on it. The Blood Hawk screeched before blood come out of it's beak and patched the hole.
The gray-haired princess cursed a little before firing another bolt. This time, the Blood Hawk manage to avoid it but it did slow him down a little, as it constantly expending some of his energy to monitor it's back in case another series of shot occurred.
Yet, there aren't any, as the two princess waited until the right moment to start another series of assault. While Brya aimed the crossbow to the two Blood Hawks, Dory put down the fan in favor of her sword, an weapon artifact given by her father.
It is stronger than the fan, exuding powerful aura. With the new weapon, Dory swing the sword, unleashing golden sword light to the pair of beast. The Blood Hawks squawk, before flapping their wings, unleashing a blood hurricane, countless blade of razor thin and sharp blood heading to the princess.
As the golden sword light and the blood hurricane clash, it is clear who the winner is, as the golden sword light vaporize the blood before heading towards the two hawk beasts. The beasts tried to flee but the attack is too fast.
"Squawk!"
A loud squawking come out of the two, yet, they manage to survive, albeit badly injured. Before they could be happy of the result, two powerful bolts head toward the two Blood Hawks, striking where their hearts are.
They are unable to flee, the bolts piercing their hearts, killing them in an instants.
