Chapter 10: Necromancer

Azrael dropped the books down that he was reading. Lately there has been so much noise being made outside that he was starting to get concerned about it.

Is this place getting attacked by an armed group, perhaps?

Then if it is, he wouldn't like to meet one. He was just an ordinary human and if he was shot in the head even ones then goodbye to his dream of reading books for eternity.

"Sigh... I really hope that I'm just overthinking."

He shook his head, then grabbed the books while standing up. After finishing the book called "One year motivation", he put it on the shelf and then grabbed a new one.

Despite the noise outside, it was low because of his sealed bookstore and adding the fact that he was a bookworm and can have a massive concentration when reading a book.

As Azrael was about to sit down again, he saw the tea cup being empty.

He picked up the empty cup and placed the book down.

After refilling the cup, he started reading again while sipping the hot boiled black tea on his table.

"Ah~ This is what you can call paradise"

On the other hand, outside the bookstore is what you can call a battlefield.

Gunshots shoot everywhere and one's landed, one life was claimed.

Amelia looked at this with hatred, can't these marines have pity towards the slaves? Not bothering the fact that they had no heart as a human. Aren't they people who should protect these people?

The slaves all looked helpless and were running besides the direction they were running. The trust they had on them even when seeing their fellow dying on the way made Amelia's heart drop down.

Hack, Amelia, Sabo and others were also fighting different high ranking marines while others were defending the slaves from the lower ranks marines.

As Amelia was fighting a marine, she saw a glimpse of a little girl crying over a woman's dead body. And she was full of terror when she saw a marine pointing a gun at the kid's head.

"STOP!!!" Amelia shouted with all her might.

The marine finger pushed the trigger and the gun blew the black bullet towards the kids head.

However, something unexpected happened.

The earlier lifeless body of the woman suddenly stands up and shields the girl's body with her own body. Many looked surprised by this phenomenon and who saw this stopped their track.

Amelia watches as the woman she thought was dead, faced the marine that shot the girl and rushed towards the marine. In the dread situation, the marine panicked and kept shooting the woman. However, it's all in vain as the woman didn't even flinch when getting shoted.

"Get away from me!" The marine shouted but the woman grabbed the marine's neck and crashed it.

The marine lifeless corpe fell to the ground with his neck so thin that it look like a stick. He head was red, and his mouth is flowing blood.

This gore was unusual for many that saw this. Although, they kill, this was still on a different level.

But something happens next that surprised them much. All the corpse on the ground suddenly tremble and suddenly moved.

They were all standing up slowly and as if the battle end, all the people stopped fighting.

On the other hand, the one that shocked the most was Amelia. She could feel the connection of these body on her head! She could freely command these bodies with just a thought!

'So this is the power of the witch. It was really a powerful ability and it doesn't even blow my brain up with this many connection.'

'Sometimes, i wonder how powerful is Azrael if he can just give these type of books like it was nothing'

With that thought, Amelia started controlling the dead body with her necromancy ability. All the corpe earlier even the dead marines started fighting their former fellows.

"Let's go everyone! We don't have much time, we needed to leave!" Amelia shouted.

All the revolutionary army who earlier dumbfounded wake up to reality again. They nodded to Amelia and lead the slaves again towards grove 14.

After a long escape, they finally saw a glimpse of the grove 14. The marines that following them getting less and less Becouse of the corpse army in Amelia control.

Amelia then saw many ships with the Revolutionary army flag appearing on the docks. All of them was filled with hope seeing this.

She could also see Bello pretty on top of the ship who started waving her flag and shouting something that could be heard even she was that far away.

All the slave that heard this suddenly look like they gain strength. They all run but this time with much faster speed.

Amelia know why this happened, it was because of Bello pretty devil fruit which have to do with encouraging people. She already saw this before when Bello was encouraging people to fight but she didn't expect that it could also be used like this.

A while later, they finally reach the shore where the ships of revolutionary army dock their ship.

The ordinary members is leading the slaves towards inside the ship while the fighters like Amelia were still blocking the upcoming Marines.

After a while, all the slaves is already on the ship and Sabo gave a command of retreat.

Amelia also command the corpse army to also entered some of the ship but left the marine ones to still block their fellows marines.

The escape from sabaody become little bit easier as the marines is caught off guard by Amelia necromancing and all the Marines had a hard time getting back to their ships.

Even if they called a back up, the revolutionary army won't be their anymore.

Meanwhile, on the main ship of revolutionary army, Amelia was inside the meeting room with all the high ranking members. Despite the successful escape, they all looked serious.

"Tell us Amelia, why do you have two devil fruit powers?" Sabo asked.

Amelia was calmed even in this situation, she already thought of this situation and already thought how to explain it to them.

"This is a power i got from my devil fruit. You can call this Life and Death devil fruit. With the power of Life, i can copy the faces of any being i saw."

"On the other hand, with death, i can control any dead beings around me."

Sabo didn't reply and thought for a second.

"I'm not going to lie to you Amelia, your devil fruit explanation doesn't sound true but I'm not forcing you to tell me more. I know your not an enemy so that power would really help us with our goal."

All the members including Koala and Havk nodded with a smile.

They saw the how much Amelia power control the battlefield earlier and it look like she doesn't even had a hard time controlling all that body.

Just thinking how many strong people she could control give them chills.
