Chapter 9 : That is Your Fate!

(MC pov)

Feeling the fluctuation of magic around the blonde teenager, I watch calmly as the girl summoned a glowing double edge sword in her hands while looking at us menacingly.

"Girl, you should calm down. Not only, you just wake up from what must have been a traumatizing experience, but with the earth strongest protector over the mystical side here, your magical powers are nothing impressive. So you should calm down and talk like civilized people." I tried to persuade her calmly.

"Why should I? I know your plan, and I don't want to return to that shitty pocket dimension! If you need a guide, find another one that isn't me! Even if I have to fight Odin or Mephisto himself, I'll die before I put another feet there!" She said strongly, while in response, her sword started to glow of dangerous yellow color.

Seeing this, I tried to difuse the situation a little.

"Girl, none of us here are going to force you to do anything, after all we are the good guys. We are heroes. We'll, sort of... My name is Green Lantern by the way."

As I said that however, I noticed from the corner of my eyes the entangle look of Mr. Cage. As if he was struggling with what I just said. But for some reason, it only happens for a few second before it look like he was suddenly enlighten and then recovered his default face since we met him : the serious look face.

But his hesitation however brief it was didn't escape from the Blond in front of me. Which although could explain a little bit why she decisively tried to slash me with her sword, but I wasn't saint enough to let it go.

In a ridiculous synchronization, while her hands slashed downward, my hand hosting the Ring met her sword in an uppercut movement while I construct a 30 cm in diameter shield around it.

Even though I wasn't really focused on the shield because I wasn't prepared for her sudden attack, but when faced against a magic sword, there was still enough focus to at least stop two or four shoots from a Chitauri blaster. But even then, my shield construct didn't cause any resistance in front of the blondes sword. The reason nothing happened tho, is due to the Ancient One swift reaction.

The instant my shield was sliced through, she summon her own to protect me. Things happened so fast that even after the blonde sword made a big sound against the sparking golden shield, my hand was still in going upward while my brain didn't react yet. It was only after getting a recoil from the Ancient One's shield when my fist hit it that my brain finally caught up with what happened.

And as I looked a the teenager girl, I saw some fear in her eyes as she looked at the Ancient One. And when I thought that this display of strength was enough to dispel any warmonger behavior in her, once again she surprised me.

She only hesitate for a second before trying to attack our Sorcerer Supreme directly. But this time she didn't even had the time to swing her sword because dozens golden chains appeared around the girl to bind her in a blink of an eye.

"Let me go! I don't want to return to that shitty place! I will kill myself before you can force me to go there!" She immediately start to shout while trying to escape from the magic chains in vain.

To be honest, seeing a 10 of 12 years old girl shouting with a desperate face like that, that she prefer suicide rather than go to that pocket dimension filled me with pity. Even the anger I had because of her attack fade a bit.

But this also made me realized how dangerous it was for my friends. Of the three who were teleported to that world, only Jessica had powers. But this girl in front of me also has power but was so terrified by that dimension...

I didn't want to think more about it and could only hope that the Ancient One could send us the exact day they arrived. In any case, I couldn't see it in myself to force a little girl to accompany us to such a dangerous place.

"Don't worry girl. I already told you that you won't have to come with us. We're not bad guy. And if you want we can even send you home before we start our own business." I promise to her after seeing how distrustful she was of us.

"Really? After all the trouble you've gone through to bring me here to guide you to the Limbo? " She asked skeptically.

And it was through this that I understood that this teenager misunderstood us. She thought we summoned her like we summon demons so she would guide us in our quest. Meaning, she didn't even know how she really appeared her.

But just as I wanted to speak to clear the misunderstanding, some powerful sorcerer sipping tea, immediately refute me.

"I'm afraid that it won't be possible."

"Hah! I knew it." Said the teenager by rolling her eyes at me, which prompt me to lookat the Ancient One for some explanation. The latter did it without waiting to be ask.

"Illyana Rasputin, the reason it won't be possible isn't because I don't want to, but because both of your brothers quit this dimension. The youngest, Piotr Rasputin was one of the cause of the incident that caused the Green Lantern's friend to be sent to the Limbo. After Belasco kidnapped you, Piotr search for the sorcerer who sold you to him and found her an hour ago. Then as they fought, they were all send to the Limbo while you were send on earth because the spell didn't function as it should due to your brother intervention. So now, while you escape the Limbo, he is now trapped inside that pocket dimension alongside other people."

This explanation was so shocking that none of talk for a minute. Too busy digesting the news.

[So... If I had to summarize the whole story, everything that happened so far is because of this Illyana girl? Are you sure you don't want in our team? Because in my opinion, it is kinda weird that a dimension Lord. Even one from a tiny pocket dimension, would want a little girl from earth for no reason.]

Ion statement, however pertinent it was couldn't convince me to force her. Even after some hesitation after learning the 'whole' story.

But at the end of the day, I didn't even have to, because after learning that it was his brother that sent her out of the Limbo, Illyana decided to go to with us in this rescue mission.

And after her confirmation, everything else became way easier. The Ancient One went to out for a while and came back with a sorcerer very familiar to me : Kaecilius. The Sorcerer who manage to kill the Ancient One.

I was at first very surprised and wary when the Ancient One told us that he will tag along us so we could escape from the Limbo safely.

It was only after some times that I remembered that before being a villain, Kaecilius was at first a great sorcerer under Kamar-Taj. It was only because he discovered that the Ancient One used the power of Dormamu, a big boss of the MCU, that he turn bad.

So after some psychological reassurance from myself, a magical bag with foods supplies, a detour too get Ghost's suit and Ion's affirmation of my plan, I was finally ready to save our friends.

And so, after half a day of waiting, the Ancient One was finally able to open the nearest portal under a week. From what we could see through the portal, the place look exactly like what I imagined hell should be : full of black rocks, gey- red sky and lava all around. In a word, hell.

"After going through this portal, you should remember this, because this is very important. You have 5 days to find your friends and get out of the Limbo, otherwise after you get out there's a big chance that instead of returning to earth this year, you will come back in a few years. Because you have to remember that the time here isn't the same as in the Limbo."

With each of us nodding with a solemn face to show that we understood, we all enter through the portal with determination.
