War of the Gods! Ares Vs Hachiman!
" ALLLLLLL RGIHT! EVERYONE ARE YOU READY!!!!!!?" The announcer, a little blue alien, shouted to the crowd.
" YEAAAAAH!!!!" The Gods gathered in the crowd all screamed to the top of their lungs and stomped their feet.
The electricity in the air was palpable.
Gods from different parts of the universe had gathered to see the battles between the mighty Greek Gods of Olympus and the heavenly Shinto gods of Ama.
The Shi'ar Gods K'ythri and Sharra.
The Norse Gods Odin, Thor, Loke, Sif, Volstag, Fandral, Balder, Hogun.
The Egyptian Gods Ra, Anubis, Osiris, set, amun, isis, and sekhmet.
The Hindu gods Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Ganesha, Hanuman, Indra, Rudra.
The human ascended to Nirvana, Buddah.
The Celtic gods Cu Chulainn, Lug, Dagda, Morrigin, and Brigid.
And more than them including the Skrull gods, The Kree gods, and Eternals.
" All right! Let's get straight to the point. We have two of earths Pantheons, going to war against one another. The Olympians believe they are the mightiest. The Shinto seek to refute that. And what better way to start off the battle of gods than to have two Gods of War battle it out?! So, without further ado let's get things started!!!! Introducing first, from the land of Shinto, often identified as the 15th emperor of Japan, he is seldom worshipped alone, that doesn't mean he's lacking in faith or in power. He famously sent the divine winds, the Kamikaze, to which twice dispersed the invading fleets of Mongol. HACHIMAN!!!!!!"
" Hachiman! Hachiman! Hachiman!" The gods of the Shinto tribe all chanted for the Shinto god of war. The gates to his side opened and war horns blew as the servants of Hachiman all cleared a path for the man.
Hachiman rode into the arena on a black stallion. His armor looked heavy, and it covered most of his body. A true mountain of a man.
" And in this corner!!!! The son of Zeus himself, he is known throughout all of Greece as the most brutal fighter amongst the gods. The man who has mastered every weapon there is. The man who slayed Adonis. The very embodiment of savagery and bloodlust! ARES!!!!!!!!"
Greek Horns blew loud, and Drums sounded off as the Greek Gods all roared in support for their first fighter.
The doors opened and Ares walked out into the arena with his Axe in hand.
" YEAAAAAH!" Ares exclaimed. He raised his axe to the sky and shouted.
" The rules are simple. The victor is whoever renders their opponent unable to fight. be that by knock out or death. If you choose to yield that is fine too. But with nothing else to say. Let the first match BEGIN!" The little alien disappeared leaving only Ares and Hachiman still standing in the ring.
Ares and Hachiman stared at each other. Each silently watching, waiting for their opponent to make the first move. That's how they would normally act in a fight.
Not this one.
Ares and Hachiman both sprung forward from their positions. Hachiman raised his Bisento and slammed it down towards Ares head, while Ares swung his axe up to meet it.
The two blades collide with one another and the ground craters below them.
Ares and Hachiman get in each other's faces and laugh at one another while they continue pressing their blades against each other.
Up in the crowds Poseidon watched as the two men struggled against one another intently.
" Who do you think will win?" Diana asked.
" I wanna say Ares, but Hachiman seems to be bearing down on him hard. I'd say that the match could go either way." Poseidon replied.
" Why do you think that?" Diana asked.
" Just watch and see." Poseidon replied.
Back in the arena, Ares raised his fist and punched Hachiman hard in his face mask, causing the man to stumble slightly. With his opponent off-balance, Ares rushed in and slammed his shoulder into Hachiman's chest.
Even with his armor on, the war god still felt the powerful blows from Ares fist.
Sensing Ares trying to take control of the fight Hachiman swung his blade and a rush of wind slashed Ares across the chest.
" Gah!" Ares grunted as the blade of wind cut him open, but he pushed forward still. " Have a taste of my Olympian metal." Ares spoke. he lunged at Hachiman and swung his axe down at the man's thigh, Hachiman tried to avoid it by blocking the axe with his Bisento, but that was what Ares, wanted.
Once, Hachiman's Bisento was out of the way, Ares reached up and grabbed the man by his helmet and slammed it into the ground.
" Got you now, you Japanese fuck." Ares proclaimed, he raised his axe to behead Hachiman, but the slippery general managed to slide right out of his helmet before the axe could taste his flesh.
" Dishonorable wretch!" Hachiman cursed as he sprung to his feet.
Ares rushed the man with his axe raised and a newfound vigor.
" As a god of war, you should know, there is no honor. Only victory!" Ares declared. He swung his axe madly, trying to hit his opponent.
Hachiman was still reeling slightly from having his head slammed into the ground, but he still managed to parry each of Ares' attacks. Only proving his weight as a god of war.
' They're both strong.' Poseidon thought. ' They strike fast and hard and their mastery with their weapons is pretty impressive, but Ares seems to be the one who excels above all else. He's faster than Hachiman, he just showed he's stronger, even if only slightly, and his skill with his axe is more proficient than Hachiman with his Bisento, which should have the advantage due to it having more range. If Hachiman could gain some distance and properly utilize his wind and Bisento attacks, then he'd be able to push Ares back. But Ares isn't letting him do that. That first attack seemed to alert Ares on Hachiman's skills. He's making Hachiman fight to his rhythm.'
" Ares will win." Poseidon spoke.
" What father?" Diana asked.
" See how Ares keeps pushing Hachiman back?" Poseidon asked.
" Yeah. He's staying close so that Hachiman can't properly use his Bisento to attack right?" Diana replied.
" Exactly. Hachiman's skills lie in the fact that he prefers longer ranged weapons. His Bisento is meant to keep him at a distance to where his opponents can't get in too close, and his control over the wind extends that range even more." Poseidon explained to the woman.
" But Ares isn't letting him do that anymore." Diana stated. She rubbed her chin in thought and then it hit her. " because of that attack from earlier, when Hachiman cut Ares." Diana stated.
" Right again. Hachiman showed his hand early, he should have waited until Ares was off-guard and not expecting it. Instead, he managed to wound Ares, but only lightly, and now Ares knows not to give Hachiman room to breathe. Ares is known for having high stamina and durability, enough that he can fight Hercules for days. And that's a feat not many can say they've accomplished." Poseidon explained.
" Ah, well scouted." Poseidon and Diana both turned to see the Norse prince of Asgard walking towards them. " Mind if I join you Great Poseidon?!" Thor asked.
" Odin's son Thor? God of Thunder, right? Why would you wish to join us?" Poseidon asked the man.
" Simply because, I wish to speak to the man who killed his father, one of the most powerful Greek Gods, alone. Tis not every day we Norse and Greek convene after all." Thor spoke.
" Very well, you may join us. Tell me prince of Asgard, what do you think of our Ares?" Diana asked.
" Well, Princess..." Thor started.
However, he quickly closed his mouth when Poseidon thrusted his Trident towards him.
" Careful boy." Poseidon warned the man.
" Of course." Thor replied. " As I was saying, I think he is powerful. But Hachiman is nothing to take lightly either. I can feel the power from their mighty blows. And I must say I am impressed. But neither can best the mighty Thor in battle." Thro proclaimed proudly.
" I wouldn't be so quick to boast thunderer. Ares is nothing short of impressive. Take him lightly and you will lose your head." Poseidon spoke. He grinned slightly at Thor who was too busy staring at Diana to register.
" Well, either way they are both pretty good and this will be a battle to remember." Thor stated. he then took a seat next to the two Olympian gods and watched the fight.
Hachiman tried to swing his Bisento at Ares, only for the man to grab it and headbutt him.
Hachiman stumbled and Ares pulled him in with his Bisento and kneed him in the gut.
Ares then hit Hachiman over the back of his neck with the hilt of his axe, knocking the big man down to the ground.
" Yield!" Ares demanded.
" Never!" Hachiman replied. He struggled to get back to his feet but was stopped when Ares violently slammed his foot down on the man's spine.
" Last chance! YIELD!" Ares demanded.
" Death... before dishonor." Hachiman exclaimed.
Ares nodded and raised his axe and with one swift motion, beheaded Hachiman.
" Death before dishonor... Well said." Ares spoke. He walked away from Hachiman's corpse and raised his bloody axe to the sky and the Greek side of the stadium erupted into cheers.
" What a crushing defeat! The Winner by decapitation is ARES!!!!!" The announcer exclaimed.
