Tony's Fantasy

"Tony, you're finally done!"

Li Yue was the first to react. He returned his attention to the experiment chamber and found that the glass wall had been shattered by the various metal objects that were stuck on it!

The metal objects didn't rush to the center of the room like before, but floated in the air, as if time was frozen and gravity no longer applied to them!

But it only lasted for a few seconds. Suddenly, as if they possessed a will of their own, they parted like a curtain, revealing a familiar figure that slowly walked from the eye of the storm!

"Haha, did I keep you waiting? What do you think? Hail the return of your king!"

"King my ass. Look at what you've done. If you're even a little stronger, your entire villa would've collapsed!"

Li Yue shot down Tony's brag, incredulous!

"Hah, who cares if I lose a villa, it's worth it for this powerful superpower!"

It seems that Tony very much liked his new superpower, to the point that he was willing to exchange his villa for it!

Tony faced everyone, but gave them no time to speak. He raised his right hand and snapped his fingers!

To everyone's surprise, metal objects big and small began gathering around Tony, like anxious birds spinning around their nest!

At a glance, the scene was chaotic. The people were afraid that the objects would hit each other in the air, but no such thing happened!

As if having eyes, the items each moved back to their original positions!

The room was restored almost to its original state in less than ten seconds! Items that Tony couldn't control because they had no metals still littered the ground, but it was only "messy" instead of "ruined" now!

Unfortunately, while they have been returned to their original position, they weren't returned to their original shape and form. There's no telling whether those instruments could still be used!

"Tony, the next time you do something like that, you should try saying a cool line first before snapping your fingers! You'd have better dramatic effect that way!"

Tony's finger snap reminded Li Yue of the ending of the fourth Avengers movie. He didn't expect to see a live fan service like this.

But, now that Li Yue is here, there's no way that he would let the situation that led to Tony doing the snap happen again!

"Oh? Sometimes you do give reasonable suggestions, Li Yue. I really should've said something!

"Hmm, what should I say? Should I just say 'I am Iron Man'? But I have this new ability, I can't just repeat that same line! I can't find anything good. What do you think, Li Yue?"

Tony's eyes instantly lit up when he heard Li Yue's suggestion. He did feel that something was missing when he snapped his fingers, but he couldn't really find out what. Li Yue's suggestion awakened his inner fantasies!

"No, stop, I was just messing with you. Don't take it seriously! You should think about it in your own free time— I'm too busy to think about these useless things!

"Let's talk about your newly awakened superpower!"

Li Yue was incredulous that Tony took his joke so seriously!

You wouldn't have the chance to snap your fingers again in the future, so just forget about it!

"Cough, right, about my superpower. As you can see, it's to control metal! But I was quite curious, how could I control only metals?

"After deeper inspection, my ability isn't to control metal itself, but to manipulate the magnetic field around the metal!

"Controlling the magnetic field is bigger deal than just controlling metal! After all, the electromagnetic interactive function is one of the four fundamental forces!

"I imagine that I would be able to produce immense electrical current and use it to launch attacks similar to a railgun! I would even be able to make electromagnetic pulses, EMPs, to destroy electronics!

"And of course, if I could expand the control to the quantum level, I can manipulate chemical structures and transmute atoms! I might even be able to bend light around my body to make myself invisible!

"If I can figure out Einstein's unified field theory, I might even be able to use my control over electromagnetism to control gravitational field around my body! It might even be possible to create a wormhole to travel anywhere I want! Hah, wouldn't that be something, don't you think, Li Yue?"

Tony became more and more excited as he spoke, and it didn't seem like he was going to stop anytime soon! Even though nobody except Banner could understand what he's talking about!

But it was clear that this ability was incredibly powerful. It was only a single thought away from being able to destroy the heavens and the earth and shatter the universe!

Dammit, Tony, you're flying too close to the sun! How did I not know that it's not just ability to control metal? How could you find so many uses of it?

Li Yue was shocked by Tony's incessant rambles and complained within his heart!

"Tony, can you do all that with your current ability?"

Li Yue suppressed the shock in his heart and curiously asked Tony who was about to continue talking.

"Cough, I've only just gotten the superpower, of course I can't!"

Li Yue's words returned Tony to reality. He glared at Li Yue, his voice a bit weak.

"Hah, I thought you could already do that. Turns out you're all talk!"

Li Yue was speechless. What was the point of all that rambles, then? You just wanted to look smart and make me into the bad guy!

"But! I can already do more than control metal! I can use the magnetic field to do this!"

Tony smiled confidently to his audience, before spreading his arms. Slowly, his feet lifted off the ground, as if he was no longer shackled by gravity.

Tony stopped rising a few feet above the ground. He then slowly descended to the ground!

"I can only do this much for now, but I believe that as long as I keep practicing this ability, I would eventually be able to fly freely tens of thousands of meters in the sky!

"And if I can do that, all the other abilities I mentioned might one day be reality!"

Tony felt that he had successfully rescued his face as he watched his audience look at him in disbelief!

"I don't believe you!"

Li Yue rejected Tony's claim. Don't think that I'm that easy to fool just because I don't read much!
