Chapter 274: Warning

A group of people crowded together and quickly ate the food in the lunch boxes on the table.

"Follow me."

The threatening words made Jack couldn't help but look into her eyes.

Alex's eyes showed Jack that she really cared about Kara and was afraid of him.

Jack smiled at Alex and shot the syringe right into her neck, ignoring her angry expression.

The golden liquid was pushed out, and Alex felt a cool sensation starting from her neck, which spread throughout her body in just a few seconds, and then... nothing.

"I won't tell you what this thing is, figure it out for yourself."

Jack smirked mysteriously, the car door opened automatically, and Alex's body floated out slowly.

In one breath, he shut the door, turned on the car, and drove away.

After Jack had left for quite some time, Alex finally regained consciousness and did a flip to get up off the ground.

Alex took a sharp breath, not because she was in pain but because she felt cold all over.

Her body temperature was dropping drastically. If this continued, Alex even doubted whether she would freeze to death in the parking garage.

With one hand rubbing her neck, she took her device out of her pocket and called Hank, who was her boss.

"How's it going?"

Hank Henshaw's stern face appeared on the screen. Before he could ask a second question, Alex interrupted him.

"He injected me with some unknown substance. I'm feeling colder and colder now, you have to..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Alex felt her vision go black, and she instantly lost consciousness.

After an unknown period of time, when Alex regained consciousness once again, she found herself back in the medical room at the DEO headquarters, with Hank guarding her side.

Alex also noticed that, besides him, there were several other fully armed agents in the room's corners, all of whom were carefully watching her.

"Hank, what happened?"

"You passed out in the parking garage, and we brought you here based on the location."
