Chapter 219: Scout Ship 0344

After flipping through the front page, Jack began to read the book's main story.

Even though the book was big and full of information, it mostly told the story of The invasion of Earth by Darkseid.

Yes, it was Darkseid's invasion, not the invasion by Steppenwolf.

Although Steppenwolf was also involved, Zeus' lightning quickly defeated him.

The main force was Darkseid himself.

The more Jack read, the more shocked he got because what was written in the book was so different from what he knew.

He knew that Steppenwolf was the one who led the army to invade and try to wipe out all life on Earth.

However, the Earth's gods and humanity worked together to stop him.

In perspective, Jack thought this story had a few problems.

It seemed strange that so many people would have to work together to beat Steppenwolf.

If it were Darkseid, would not all the forces of Earth be powerless?

Now he knew that it was Darkseid himself who had invaded Earth. And it wasn't as simple as shown in the movies, with just one battle to end it all.

According to the book, When Darkseid first invaded Earth, different groups were suspicious of and in conflict with each other.

They did not come together to fight until Darkseid used the Mother Boxes to take over the whole world.

Only then did the different groups come together to defend against the forces of Apokolips.

There were some Kryptonians who had come from far away.

They included some of the surviving gods, the alliances of humans on Earth, the last remaining Atlantean civilization, Themyscira, and even the Green Lantern Corps, which at the time was guarding the solar system.

Only when they worked together could they barely stop Darkseid.

But after the war, there were so many deaths that the post-war alliance was almost wiped out. Even the Green Lanterns died, and most of the Kryptonians who had been exposed to the yellow sun died.

They were the main force against Darkseid himself.

Interestingly, After the Kryptonians died, their spaceship still existed, but the book did not say where it went.

Jack could guess that it was probably the Kryptonian spaceship that Superman would later find in Antarctica.

It seemed to be a scientific research ship carrying scientists, which explained why they couldn't defeat Darkseid.

Time flew by, and Jack quickly finished reading the book.

The rest of the story was mostly the same as what he already knew, about the separation and safekeeping of the Mother Boxes.

However, there was one thing that caught his attention.

The book mentioned that the person who dealt a deadly blow to Darkseid, forcing him to retreat, was none other than Ares, the former God of War whom Jack had killed.

In the book, there was even an illustration of Ares using his two-bladed fighting axe to hit Darkseid on the shoulder, almost cutting off his head.

If Darkseid's subordinates had not stepped in quickly, he would have really died.

So it makes sense that Darkseid had not returned to Earth in so many years.

Now that Ares was dead, the Mother Boxes were active again, making him worry that he might get another axe blow.

It made sense.

The war scene back then was much more massive than the small-scale conflicts among humans, and Ares could draw power from the war.

It was understandable that he was so strong.

Looking at it this way, the God of War buff he received was indeed valuable. With a full stack, he could even take on Darkseid.

What was there to fear from the Celestials?

Of course, this was thinking if it worked in the Marvel Universe.

Hmm? Wait a minute!

Jack's thoughts suddenly stopped, and he felt like he had missed something very important!

Putting aside his distracted thoughts, he started to recall everything he had seen and thought of just now.

Mother Boxes.

Steppenwolf.

Darkseid.

Zeus.

Green Lantern.

Kryptonians.

There was still a Kryptonian warship on Earth, and he could easily get the coordinates of Krypton by deciphering the data on the ship.

The Kryptonian Growth Codex would be in his hands.

He could then produce an army of Superman, and he wouldn't fear the Gods. Even the Celestials, well, that might be a bit risky.

The immediate priority was to find the lost Kryptonian warship on Earth and discover the coordinates of Krypton.

With this in mind, Jack couldn't wait any longer. He stood up and looked at Diana, who was watching him with confusion.

"I'll take you to a fun place!"

Diana: "???"

Five minutes later, in Antarctica, thousands of miles of ice stretched out as far as the eye could see.

"Is this the fun place you were talking about?"

Diana, being a demigod, couldn't feel the cold, but the icy landscape made her uncomfortable.

"Of course, the fun part is down below," Jack replied.

Jack looked ahead and quickly used his X-ray vision to locate the hidden Kryptonian warship beneath the thick layer of ice.

With ease, he and Diana flew above the ship.

Jack's heat vision quickly burned a pathway through the ice, creating a direct way to the Kryptonian warship.

Holding Diana, Jack rushed into the way and arrived at the lowest level in an instant.

A massive spacecraft was lying tightly in the middle of the ice, waiting to see daylight again several decades after tectonic movements.

"This..."

As Diana looked at the huge object in front of her, she was shortly stunned.

The more she looked, the more familiar it seemed, and she suddenly remembered seeing it in a book.

"This... is the Kryptonian warship?"

"Yes, technically it's an exploration ship. Due to certain circumstances, it crashed on Earth, and the Kryptonians inside helped in the fight against Darkseid."

"That's unbelievable."

Diana shook her head in disbelief and sighed, "I thought the ship was destroyed. What do you need this for?"

"Because there are some useful things on this ship that I happen to need."

Jack waved his hand, and numerous scientists and Ghost Guards in white suits appeared in the ice cave.

After bowing to Jack and Diana, they approached the warship and a circular opening appeared on its surface.

They entered through the opening.

"Would you like to go inside and take a look?"

"Of course, why not?"

Diana pulled Jack into the warship because she was interested in seeing what was going on.

The scientists had already started their work, preparing various instruments to decipher the advanced technology on this alien exploration ship.

"Try not to damage anything..."

Before Jack could finish his sentence, he saw Machine Guards sparking and shooting sparks ahead.

He swallowed the rest of his words.

Oh well, if it gets destroyed, it gets destroyed. It's not like it belongs to him anyway.

Jack didn't really value Kryptonian technology.

He knew the technology from various dimensions and universes that he had salvaged from the Salvage Pool.

He could easily beat the technology of Krypton with just one small piece of robot.
