Chapter 153: Friendship

Just as Jack was about to say something, Charles suddenly changed his expression and looked towards the cruise ship.

Jack shrugged and said. "You better act quickly. From what I know, he's currently no match for Shaw. Unless you want to lose a good friend."

Jack was right because Erik on the cruise ship was already defeated.

After boarding the ship, he had successfully found Shaw. However, just as he was about to seek revenge, Azazel teleported directly behind him and knocked him out with a punch.

If it weren't for Shaw's instructions, it wouldn't have been a punch, but a deadly blow.

"Little Erik, we do seem to have a fate," Shaw squatted down, looking at Erik and sighed, "Our last meeting feels like it was just yesterday."

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, his expression changed, and he stood up, looking towards the away at sea. At this moment, the Coast Guard finally sounded the alarm and rushed over.

"This is the United States Coast Guard! Stay in place! Do not move! I repeat, stay in place!"

As the announcement ended, more than a dozen speedboats carrying assault teams quickly approached the cruise ship.

When the whirlwinds rushed to a distance of two meters, Riptide waved his hands, and the whirlwinds dropped onto the sea, instantly surging into tornadoes over ten meters high, roaring toward the Coast Guard!

After completing his tasks, Shaw and his companions teleported away using the Azazel's abilities. It was only after they left that Erik slowly regained consciousness.

"Where are they?"

Rubbing the back of his head, Erik looked around, but he couldn't find Shaw, which annoyed him. However, he soon sensed something and looked toward the water...

On the other side, with the appearance of the two tornadoes, the Coast Guard was thrown into chaos. They desperately tried to escape but found that the ship was out of control and the storm's center was shifting.

"You have to do something!"

Charles anxiously looked at Jack. Now, only he could help.

"Why should I do anything?"

Leaning against the railing with his arms crossed, Jack looked at Charles with a puzzled expression. "They brought this upon themselves, didn't they? You warned them about Shaw's plant, but they didn't believe you. They even wanted to lock you up. Why should you go and save them?"

These words left Charles speechless. It was true. As someone who had discovered parts of the future, he had warned the higher-ups at C.I.A about the danger of Shaw and offered his assistance.

Those people actually wanted to detain him and Raven, not just keep them under surveillance, but real imprisonment, like prisoners!

The reason, of course, was his ability to read minds. Those people wanted to arrest him, mentioning his illegal acquisition of classified information as the cause.

Charles knew exactly what they wanted to do. If his powers weren't strong enough, he might have actually been caught.

After treating him like that, should he still save them? Of course, he should!

Charles couldn't just let so many people die in despair!

"They are innocent! They have no idea!" Charles pleaded anxiously. "Please, Jack, we have to save them. They have children, they have wives! They shouldn't die here for no reason!"

Jack sneered, finding Charles's righteous heart somewhat irritating.

But then again, this was also one of the reasons for the future Sentinel disaster.

"Fine, I'll do you a favor for the sake of friendship."
