Chapter 6

There was just something beautiful about giving a man his first gun, even if he had some form of superhuman strength on the level of maybe the movie Captain America, that man as was destined by him having a set of cock and balls, became utterly giddy at using the oversized shotgun.

Keqing's only complaint and literally only complaint was how loud it was, and secondly, the bird and normal pellets didn't have too much penetration but that easily was remedied by switching to a magazine that had slugs. So all her complaints were fixed for the most part as I said I could get the noise cut down with some preparation by adding an attachment to the end of the barrel obviously called a silencer.

With all that done, my showcase done, Keqing snapped her fingers with a spark of lightning coming out of her fingers as she said quickly. "Alright come with me. We need to discuss prices, production amounts, and other factors." Keqing said all business and I nodded and went to follow along but we both froze as we looked at the soldier who tested out the weapon itself and had not at all fucking subtly strapped it over his shoulder as I showed him how to stow it away.

"Lee. Give me the gun, so I can have its details recorded so other such weapons can and will match its specifications." Keqing ordered, and the man... Lee all but pouted and another soldier needed to 'help' the man take the gun off his shoulder and give it to their leader who rolled her eyes muttering. "Boys and their toys."

So after a couple minutes of swift walking back into the municipal building we entered an empty side office and Keqing took out a scroll to record the deal we were going to make. Then Keqing hit me the numbers and I closed my eyes to take in that kind of numbers. "So those 'shotguns' at the price of ten low-quality spirit stones each, I will be ordering a shipment of five hundred such guns and..." She paused before tapping the drum magazine on the shotgun and asking. "How many shots were in the magazine?" She asked.

"Twenty."

She nodded and then after a moment of thought she said. "I will then be order two hundred and fifty magazines filled with all four ammunitions in the bird-shot for the night terrors which I believe it will extremely well with. As well as the same amount for shot, dragon's breath, and slug rounds." She explained and I boggled at the numbers.

Which all together that was literally twenty thousand rounds I needed to prepare...

I brushed a hand over my face and then spoke wryly. "Alright, we gotta discuss this then, First these magazines can be refilled with rounds," I said showing her how I could quickly push some shotgun rounds into the magazine to refill it. Then I continued. "To say nothing of the drum magazines having a bunch of moving parts I need to deal with, I simply don't have the facilities to produce such numbers of rounds, to say nothing of the logistics of how I can move the literal materials around Liyue."

I explained and Keqing grimaced at the reminder that I was an alchemist who literally just got here to Liyue the day before.

"I... Forgive me, I was lost in thought of possibilities." Keqing took a breath before looking me over and then said openly. "Jake, what do you want for the formula, blueprints, and other such things of this weapon's system, and those ammunition types."

For a moment, I went still as anger filled me. 'She wanted to steal my stuff? Steal my ticket to prolonged wealth?' But then it hit me. I was a fucking golden goose, who gave a damn about a single shotgun design when I could make a literal 40k Bolter, auto-turrets, tanks, and everything in between.

She wasn't just offering me a buyout. What she was offering, was my ticket to getting all the resources I needed to begin the true ascension of my breaking this world under my heel with superior technology to their cultivation and martial arts.

I paused and after a moment of thought as I went through the materials and time it would take to make all this stuff, I spoke but there was a twist. "I would sell the plan's for the weapon, its ammo, and even help you guys set up a facility to begin your own production here within Liyue. But beyond a decent payment for my methods and showing exactly how everything works, I have the need of a pretty big favor."

She rose an eyebrow with her prior smile at my easy acceptance dimming as she more seriously said. "Go ahead, I will hear your favor now, and I will tell you if it is feasible."

I had spent the morning waiting for morning's sunlight not just sitting on my ass and had actually looked at a map of Liyue's surroundings and found out that southwest of Liyue in the Lisha region there were a number of abandoned mines that couldn't be held from the monster's and except for the utterly massive pit mine that was the Chasm. Liyue's mining apparently in this world came from the mountains North of Jueyan Karst as only the major Cultivation Sect had enough forces to keep the mines open and not lose so many lives.

Either way, becoming overly tied to the government of Liyue wasn't the best move when I wanted to go mad with excessive orbital lasers to shoot any would-be asshole cultivators.

Thus I stated my favor which would help me get free of societal issues. "I will give all the secrets away in its creation for you and anyone else needed to escort a caravan of machinery I would be driving in a weeks time to the Lisha region to one of the abandoned mines." She frowned and I held up a hand as I spoke solemnly. "I am formally asking the favor to be paid in protection for up to three days maximum outside the city as I setup some machinery and that is it." I said with finality.

Keqing was strong, she was a strong character in having a vision in canon, and I knew she was also a Martial Artist here in this twisted form of Genshin Impact. So as she frowned I couldn't help but feel nervous as to what could be out there, that would make a warrior like her refrain from agreeing when the Lisha province was literally just to the West of Liyue.

Finally, though she nodded with a grave nod and before I could say anything she held up a hand, and as she spoke I stilled before nodding in understanding. "I agree. I, myself, and a contingent of Militith will escort you to the designated site with your equipment. But once we arrive, other than sealing ourselves in the old mines during the night, we cannot protect you through the night outside of the camp we will create during the night within the caves." She explained.

And that was enough. I got what I wanted along with a heft payment

Now I just needed to try to make an all-terrain semi-truck with tank treads to pull my machines into the mountainous territory of Liyue... 'Was it too late to try to get a spatial ring or something?' I thought in despair trying to lug a bunch of machines and materials into the mountains to get my machines going on some iron and other material veins so I could get literally infinite resources and my technological abilities would skyrocket.
