Ch 78: Yang Bai

Knowing the reason for her gaze would be his relationship with Shan Qing Luo, he turned a blind eye to it and asked, "why are you here, Bi Luo?". Even though he had a hunch what her answer would be, he still asked as he didn't know for sure.

Bi Luo still giving him the same look said with obvious reluctance, "*huff* Mistress asked me to come here and inform you about something.",

"And...?", he asked, indicating her to continue. She answered, "she said, 'be careful, the demon lord is about to start a war against the eight clans of the Capital City and his first target is war city.' *ugh* I still don't get why she's so worried about you, it will better if you died."

Hearing her words, with everyone promptly ignoring her last rant, Yang Kai, the Hu sisters and Qiu Yi Meng, who were in the hall, widened their eyes and gasped(in case of Qiu Yi Meng). While Su Yan and Xia Ning Chang were also surprised a bit, as evident by their slightly wide eyes, but they didn't react as much as the other four.

"...how long till they reach here." Yang Feng asked her. Bi Luo replied, "...hmm, about two or three days."

Yang Feng just sighed, the others thought that he was relieved that they still had two three days. But the reason of his sigh was something he expected to happen. In the original, Bi Luo had said the same thing but two of the Evil Kings had arrived within a few hours, instead of days.

Yang Feng thought hard. 'Yang Bai and his army might reach here in about a day at most. When they arrive, it would be inevitable that everyone here would have to fight as the circumstances are a bit different than before... No that can't happen, I still need Yang Bai to open up the way to the Earth Vein.'

The others saw him thinking about something and remained quite. 'I have to make everyone in this place be isolated from the outside world... *Sigh* I have to say, all these events were very cleverly woven by the will of this reality. At first, Yang Kai couldn't find the people of High Heaven Pavilion, but he found them when he close to breaking through to the Immortal Ascension Realm.'

'Then he went to get them, but was intercepted by people of the Eight Clans, among whom a few didn't like him and conveniently attacked and nearly killed 'again conveniently' 'his' brother-in-law. Causing him to cause a mass genocide, which lead to him getting enough simulation to breakthrough the Immortal Ascension Realm, during which the golden skeleton caused demon Qi to roll out of him in spades.'

'this in turn caused those eight great elders to take action, resulting in them not trusting Yang Kai, which later, when they found he had a method of increasing the cultivation speed of his followers, made Yang Kai Isolated and the enemy number 1 of all, not even allowing him to leave the war city when he wanted to retreat from the inheritance war. When Yang Bai's army arrived, this isolation ironically became what helped him in staying in his mansion and amassing power, while also saving him and his people's lives.'

All these thread of events were what lead to the victory of the Eight Great Clans and if event one of these events didn't take place... The changes would be great, as now Yang Kai didn't have the skeleton and didn't release demon Qi during his breakthrough and so wasn't really isolated from others, which would make them participate in the war. But fortunately, Yang Feng could now use the previous attack from the eight clans as an excuse and isolate themselves from outside, making the event play out as they should. Well at least till, he gets what he wants

He then shook his head and told Yang Kai and the others to not worry and to get his people ready and after confirming that Bi Luo will stay here for now, left the hall. He reached Meng Wu Ya's room and told him about the situation.

When Meng Wu Ya heard this his first choice was to leave War City, but Yang Feng convinced him otherwise and asked him if he had a Saint Grade defensive artifact that could cover the entire mansion.

Meng Wu Ya looked at him strangely before telling him about his artifact, Heavenly Palace. Internally nodding in satisfaction, he asked Meng Wu Ya to use the artifact when the time comes.

He then left Meng Wu Ya's room, his visit lasting about half an hour. After leaving, he found out that like in the original, people from the endless seas had come to Yang Kai's Mansion as Yang Kai had previously released the news about their holding and even used two of them personally when he went on a rampage.

This however was a trivial matter to Yang Feng so he didn't show himself in front of them but when to meditate again, there wasn't much he could do anyways.

Although he was confident that he could stop and even kill Yang Bai with his strength. But he still needed Yang Bai to wage a war and lead it to the Capital City, where after gathering enough blood energy he would open a path directly to the Earth Vein along with a passage to the Tong Xuan Realm, a war was inevitable if he wanted to gain excess to the Earth Vein and the portal.

So he had decided that he wouldn't show his power in front of him, a.k.a. he wouldn't fight him, for now. With that thought, He delved into his meditation.

Outside, the arrival of the forces from endless seas didn't go unnoticed by people keeping an eye on Yang Kai's, and by extension Yang Feng's, actions and neither the commotion that followed as nearly everyone in Yang Kai's Mansion seemed to have sprung into motion.

On another note, Yang Kai had also sent a message to Yang Ying Feng and Dong Su Zhu, and though reluctantly another one to the Clan Patriarch, about the arrival of Yang Bai's, a.k.a. the Demon Lord's, army.

Like one would suspect, the Clan's reaction was that of refusal, they couldn't believe that Demon Lord would attack them so suddenly, so many of the clans, especially the Kang Clan, started to spread rumor that Yang Kai and Yang Feng have collided with the demons. They even used the death of the Kang Clan Great Elder as a liverage to make the rumors look true.

A few cautious ones, including the Yang Clan, however decided to verify if it was true by sending people to survey the surroundings.

A massive army of tens of thousands of cultivators and Monster Beasts was rushing through the lands, the army contained a few hundred Immortal Ascension Realm Cultivators and Thousands of True Element Realm, even the lowest cultivation of a person was 1st order True Element Realm.

At the forefront of the army, five figures flew above the ground, leading the army. These five were the Five Evil Kings of the Ash-Gray Cloud Evil Land: Thunderbolt Beast King, Annihilating Poison King, Profound Yin Ghost King, Lightening Flash Shadow King and Tyrannical Force King.

Although they were leading the army, they looked to be centered around a giant beast that was also running in the forefront of the army, the beast releasing an aura of Peak 5th Tier Beast. On the head on that beast stood two figures.

One of them was the figure of an alluring women that radiated charm of a seductress. This was the last of the Six Evil Kings, the Beguiling Demon Queen, Shan Qing Luo. Shan Qing Luo stood a bit back from the other figure.

This other figure belonged to a Middle-aged Man with Grayish White Hair. The figure stood on the head of the beast with his hands behind his back as he looked on ahead.

"Master, War City is a few hundred kilometers away from us. Should I go and scout the area.", asked Profound Yin Ghost King. A scoff was heard from his side as Annihilating Poison King taunted him about his urge to kill, before asking the same person if he could go as well.

The other three after hearing this also asked about going ahead. The figure that was addressed as Master by them all looked at them in amusement before saying, "if you want to go, then go."

Hearing his words, the five instantly ran and rushed towards War City, eager to kill. The figure looked at them and internally shook his head. 'these fools, they're so filled with the desire to kill that it effects their actions and thought process. It's inevitable that their journey to the Peak of the Martial Way has already been cut short, though that matters not as their use will be finished in a few months, along with their pathetic lives.'

'what does interest me though is that kid, Yang Feng. According to the report, he can fight multiple 1st Order Transendants not to mention suppressing them and even killing one of them during the fight, without much effort.' He had also received the news of one of the Transcendent Realm Great Elder from the Eight Great Clans dying by Yang Feng's hands.

Unlike his followers, who scoffed at the idea and treating it as a rumor, he believed the news. He had memories of a person from a higher world where geniuses like Yang Feng were numerous (according to him), geniuses that were basically invincible in their stages.

But he knew that the difference between stages of a realm start getting widerer and widerer with each breakthrough and it was impossible for someone to fight two stages above their own realms (again according to him), so although he appreciated Yang Feng's talent, he wasn't worried about him in the slightest.

'Senior Brother, oh! Senior Brother, you were always lucky and favoured from the start. And now that you have turned into a cripple, unable to proceed in your cultivation for years, the heavens have blessed you with an adopted child that turned out to be a great genius....*sigh*'

The figure, the master of the Evil Kings, The ruler of the Evil Lands, named the Demon Lord, Yang Bai, thought as he still looked ahead. Noticing something after finishing with his thoughts, he said without turning, "aren't you going with them as well, Qing Luo?"

Shan Qing Luo who had been standing at the back with silence replied, "*fufufu* it isn't necessary, it's already enough for the five of them to go.", although she said this her thoughts were elsewhere, 'that bastard better not get himself killed!... It's not that I care about him, like I would care about someone that confirms their relationship with you and then leave without saying anything, absolutely not...'

Her thoughts were broken as she heard Yang Bai ask, "I was wondering, where is that servent girl of your's? I haven't seen her for a few days now." Sweating a bit internally, she answered, "I sent her to handle some matters for me.", to which Yang Bai just hum'ed.

Back in Yang Feng's room, Yang Feng opened his eyes and looked towards a specific direction. There, he could feel the auras of five people rapidly approaching war city, each aura reaching around Mid-1st Order Transcendent.

'six hours huh.', it had only been six hours since Bi Luo had arrived and the five had already arrived. "And so it begins."
