Farther down

No wonder it feels tight, Selah thought as soon as she found Aeneas' face right in front of her.

Slowly, Selah tries to escape from Aeneas' embrace. She was very careful doing this because it was still dawn, judging by the dim light that filtered through the windows.

And Selah is awake.

Selah groaned softly while covering her face. It was all the way to Lièvremont, but they didn't do anything last night because she overslept! Even though she had deliberately waited for Aeneas while reading a book so she wouldn't sleep, the opposite happened. It sucks.

I won't make the same mistake tonight, Selah resolved to herself.

Their initial agreement said they were better off having children immediately. Aeneas states his reasons clearly and fights off his fear. Selah accepted the agreement and was willing to work together. But since their wedding day, they've only done it twice.

Both Selah and Aeneas don't force anyone, though. But Selah hesitated; if the two of them continued like this, would everything be fine in the future?

Is this normal? Or is it just weird to do it every day? Selah thought as she looked at Aeneas.

Her husband looks beautiful with a sharp nose, thin lips, and soft facial lines. Selah also secretly remembers how Aeneas' body looked; slender with little to no muscle build up, without a single strand of hair, a single gash on the side of his belly, and soft skin. If other women saw it, they would be jealous, including Selah herself.

[Why not? Right, beautiful.]

Even though they are almost opposite, Aeneas still calls her beautiful.

"You are prettier."

"No, you are prettier."

The eyes with curled eyelashes opened slowly, revealing their gold and sapphire blue. Just as Selah was about to pull away in shock, Aeneas moved faster and pulled her closer. In just a second, their lips met.

For some reason, Selah couldn't refuse him. Aeneas allowed Selah to touch him and guide her; gave him a tingling sensation that made him breathe heavily.

"Not there, Selah," muttered Aeneas, then gave her a feather-light kiss on the top of her chest. "Farther down."

Selah complied with some hesitation. Selah wouldn't need to stimulate Aeneas if it weren't for his dark past. Well, but if she doesn't do it, they never will.

Get rid of your shame. He is your own husband, chanted Selah over and over in her heart.

Suddenly, Selah heard Aeneas snort in amusement. Selah gave him an annoyed look.

"You've seen and touched it before. Why so shy?" teased Aeneas.

"I rarely touch myself," Selah grumbled.

And right after that, Aeneas teased her right down there. Selah screamed out of reflex. She also glared at Aeneas, who smirked mischievously.

"Your Highness…" Selah hissed. Unknowingly she ruffled Aeneas' hair.

"Until when are you going to call me that when it's just the two of us?" asked Aeneas. He looked at Selah with that look; the glazed look he had seen in his office then. "Call my name correctly."

A small bite on her neck prompted Selah to make another sound. But her high pride made him reluctant to make any more noise.

Well, f*ck it. Selah knows it won't be long before Aeneas overcomes her useless pride at a time like this.

"Such stubbornness," muttered Aeneas.

"I'm sorry if I'm stubborn," Selah replied.

Aeneas chuckled, then started attacking Selah with his touches, whispers, and moves.

Who would have thought they would do this early in the morning? Right after they woke up…

If previously Selah didn't like being helped to bathe because she didn't want her scars to be seen, now she has another reason.

"Oh my…" Selah muttered while looking at her reflection in the mirror.

Red bruises are covered from neck to chest. If Selah had removed her underwear, another red bruise would have appeared. Naturally; maybe because they just woke up and are full of energy, they are more excited.

"Wanna help me with something?" bargained Aeneas, who suddenly appeared.

"Style my hair, please, thank you," Selah said while trying to tie up her corset.

"You'd rather have your hair trimmed than your corset?"

"I can handle this myself. My joints are flexible."

"Well, it has been proven.…"

Selah glares at Aeneas through the mirror, who only returns with a small grin.

After everything was done, they went down for breakfast, that was already late. Nothing is on the agenda today, but Aeneas suddenly invites Selah to ride somewhere. He said there was a river under the hill.

There are also fish and cute rabbits. No bears or other beasts. Bottom line: Aeneas wants to go fishing.

And, he is serious. Selah does not know where Aeneas got his fishing equipment.

Judging from his complete equipment, it seems that Aeneas has already prepared it from Mesina.

"I didn't know you could–errr–fishing," Selah commented.

Aeneas laughs at that as he rolls up his arms. "Sir Azel taught me. I'm not allowed to get close to sharp objects. So he said in exchange for surviving, I should at least be able to fish," he explained. "Yeah, but I'm not sure we'll catch much today."

"We?"

"Of course, you already agreed to go there with me."

Selah approached Aeneas who was getting ready. "When else can I find a husband who takes his wife fishing on their honeymoon?"

"Don't be like that, my wife," said Aeneas, laughing. "If we get nothing, there's no dinner for us."

"Seriously."

The river was crowded with fish, so it was easy for them to get fish. What was difficult for Selah was when she had to take the fish into her own hands. The smooth but scaly skin of the fish made Selah tickle in disgust. Aeneas repeatedly taunts her for this. They got into a small fight and ended up playing in the water.

Even though her clothes got wet because of it, she couldn't deny that she was quite happy. Doing new activities with relatively new people is also an experience in itself. Tired yet satisfied and happy.

At least, that was how he felt until she felt that something was watching them from behind the trees.
