Marrying The Ruthless CEO

WARNING: Mature Content (No rape) Cassie Morgan went out with her friends one evening and let them drink to their hearts' content. One of them noticed Theodore Smith alone at the bar counter. It all started at that moment. She was drunk when she kissed the town's ruthless CEO and ended up in bed with him. Cassie was unaware that her life was changing at the moment. She's engaged, but she slept with another man, got pregnant, and ran away. Nevertheless, certain circumstances are beyond her control; what if her predetermined fate persists in tormenting her? *** “I'm sorry, Morgan. I didn't mean to do this, but it seems like this is the only way to ease your pain..." Cassie forced herself to look straight into his eyes, then she slowly nodded. "It's not your fault, I'm the stubborn one...you didn't do anything but save me...I need you,” she said in between her breath. She didn't realize that her tears were falling. "Shh, you know I will always be here for you; I can't leave you..." He bent down his head to kiss her neck. His lips were hot, but it felt so good on her burning flesh.

He Agreed

Theo couldn't help but feel slightly sad about what happened last night, making him leave the house and go to work early the next day.

"Dude, what's got into you?" Kurt asked the moment Theo summoned him.

Kurt was still in the middle of enjoying the freshness of his freshly brewed coffee when Theo called him.

"Have you checked the thing—"

"Of course, dude. Hunter and I have been tracking down the one behind your accident. Honestly, dude…" Kurt paused and crossed his legs as he leaned on the chair. "I only think of a person behind it, which is Drake Carter."

Theo didn't reply and stood up as he looked past through the glass wall.

"Drake is Keagan's son-in-law. What if it came—"

"I know Drake and that old man. I don't suspect them. If I had any assumptions, who's behind it? It might be on the side of my relatives," Theo replied as he looked back at Kurt.

Kurt arched his brow and let out a soft whistle. "Who? Your aunties? Your uncles?"

Theo frowned. "Didn't I tell you to look for it? I thought you had the result—"

Kurt slammed the wooden desk slightly as he stood up. "Nope. We're still tracking."

Theo strode to his seat and sat down. "Then continue it."

Kurt nodded. "Anyway, how's your fiancé and daughter?"

Theo sighed, which made Kurt have little doubt. "Seems like you already found your match, right?"

"Man, she's stubborn. But she's nice—"

"And you're in love?" Kurt interrupted and teased, making Theo shoot a glare at him.

Kurt raised his hands as if surrendering. "Relax, dude."

"Just get out and give me some good news next time that I see your face," Theo said, opening the pile of documents above his table.

It's been a while since he returned to work, which means he has so many responsibilities.

"You're such a jerk, dude. I rushed going in here, and you will just tell me those? When in fact, we can talk about it over the phone." Kurt is feeling a little bit irritated.

Theo sharpened his gaze toward him, making Kurt smile. "Chill. See you," he said, and after that, he left.

Theo shook his head in disbelief and started to work.

CASSIE woke up, finding Theo's room empty. She asked the maid, and she was informed that the man woke up early and had gone to work already.

She felt a little bit guilty because of what had happened last night. Well, it's not that she's at fault; it's just that Theo is a little bit stubborn.

Since Theo already recovered in just a short time, she's now wondering what her role would be. Will she continue to be the man's personal doctor? Or does she need to stop and leave?

After breakfast, Cassie called her friend Rona. And the latter started to throw questions at her. Since it's been a week since their last conversation, the phone call lasted for almost half an hour.

Rona told her that the hospital director was still looking for her and informed her that she could return to work anytime.

Cassie has been thinking about it the whole day. It would be great if she would get back as a surgeon and physician. In that way, she can earn without any doubts. But she finally realized that she needed to talk to Theo first. She needs to inform the man about it and ask for his opinion.

Days passed; Cassie was elated about the happenings the past few days. Theo agreed. He let her return to her previous work, but there are conditions. That includes their stay in his mansion. At first, she was unsure, but she thought of the outcome. Her daughter needs a father, although she and Theo don't have any clarification.

It was a little bit awkward for her as the man also tried his best to fetch her to the hospital after her duty. She finds it sweet at the same time, risky.

What if the media has the scoop about it?

Well, she has used the media as her surname. Morgan is also one of the well-known families in the country. Still, Theo has the biggest out of it.

It's been a while, and yet she didn't have the courage to ask about the almost bankruptcy of their company.

Well, maybe she will ask about it next time.

"Hey, girl. Let's grab some coffee and a bar later," Rona said one afternoon.

It's a tiring day for them as they need to handle three patients in the morning. But God is always great, and they succeeded. It was just a minor operation, but the patients are all biggies.

"We can grab some coffee but not go to the bar. I have a daughter—" Cassie didn't finish her words when Rona spoke.

"Well, Theo can look at her. Besides, it's just tonight," Rona stated.

Cassie smiled and shook her head. "I can't. You can go with the others, but pass."

Rona arched her brow as she leaned on the edge of Cici's table inside her office. "You don't want it or are afraid of Theodore Smith?"

Cassie's forehead knitted. "What? Why would I be afraid of him?"

Rona flashed a sly smirk on her face. "Really? Or your fiancé…"

"We're not in a relationship. He's not my fiancé."

Rona let out a soft chuckle. "He will. Soon. Anyway, let's bring your lover boy also. And you know what, girl… I think Theo really likes you or, more so, love you. Look how he exerts effort fetching you—"

"Look, Ro. His company is just a few meters away from here, and it happens that we have the same schedule. We live in one house. So, what do you expect?" Cassie asked as she cut off the hum of Rona's words.

Rona shrugged and wiggled her brows as she stood straight. "I don't think so. Trust me, I can tell it when a man is in love."

Cassie arched her brow. "Really? Have you ever been in love… just for once?"

Rona started to think foolishly and chuckled. "No. But—"

"See, not even once. So, how could I trust your words?"

"You mean you want to believe it—"

"Shut up, Ro. You always pester me about Theo being in love with me," Cassie uttered as she started to fix her things.

Rona tapped Cici's table. "Look at me, girl. Trust me, he likes you. And if you want proof, try to ask him if he wants to get out with us."

Cassie frowned. "How is that supposed to prove that he likes me?"

Rona then suddenly burst into laughter. "See… you also like the idea and even assume—"

"Whatever… get out!" Cassie blurted as she pointed the way out.

Cassie wasn't sure if she would follow what Rona said, but, in the end, she found herself talking with Theo when the man dropped by to get her.

Now, she can see how lines formed on the man's forehead, and then silence filled in the atmosphere.

"So…" she asked, in a low tone.

"You're feeding Camila, right? And now you want to go to a bar? For a drink?"

Shoot! He was right, and based on his reaction, he kinda doesn't like the idea. Well, even she doesn't like the idea. It was just she took the bait from Rona. How foolish she was!

"Great. Don't worry. I'll call Rona—"

"If your friend wants to chill tonight. You can bring her, or she may even drag anyone she likes and drink up all night at the house," Theo said, making Cici's eyes widen.

"W-What do you mean?"

"I have a small bar at home. You already saw that, right?"

Cassie frowned and nodded after. "But… is it fine with y-you?"

Theo squinted his eyes as he put his hands inside his pockets. "I am the one suggesting it, right? So, it means it is fine."

Cassie sighed. "Yeah. I'll tell Rona. You can go first—" Theo didn't let her finish her words when he moved closer to her.

Cassie then took one step backward and arched her left brow.

"Your duty has already ended. So, let's go," he said, and after that, he walked towards the exit.

The man didn't fail to show how he made an effort for her. Theo never fails to walk inside the hospital, which catches too much attention. But Cici is getting used to it.

Cassie then returned to her office to grab her things, and while she was on her way toward the exit, she dialed Rona's number.

"Hey, you, what's up!"

Cassie grimaced when she heard her friend's disturbing voice. "Can you please lower your voice?"

The lady laughed on the other line, making Cassie roll her eyes.

"Anyway…"

"Let me guess," Rona interrupted. "Theo doesn't like the idea?"

Cassie nodded as if Rona was seeing it. "Yes. But he suggested something that might interest you," she said.

Rona giggled on the other line. "What is it?" she asked, feeling excited.

"He had a mini bar at home, well, it's good for ten persons, and mind you... he has all the luxurious drinks. Maybe…" Cassie bit her lower lip, "why don't we have a drink at home?"

Rona burst into laughter, making it hard to determine if her friend was happy or just wanted to tease her.

"Gosh! I already like Theo. He seems territorial—"

"Excuse me? Don't ever add any of those to this topic. So, what's your decision?"

Rona let out a soft chuckle. "Of course, I'm on it. I'll ask Vince if he's free, and of course Mish and Jake."

"All right. See you later then, bye," Cassie stated and ended the call.

She strode toward the parking lot and saw Theo leaning on his car. She frowned. "What are you still doing—"

"Get in the car," he said, and after that, he turned to the other side.

'He's driving?' Cassie thought.

Cassie then opened the passenger seat, and when their eyes met, she asked, "Where's your driver?"

He didn't reply.

Cassie arched her brow when she received nothing from him. Well, this is the first time that Theo will gonna drive.

"Do you want to grab something to eat?" Theo suddenly asked when the man sped away from the hospital.

"Hmm… n-no."
