Max didn't lift his face from the document he held in his hand as he made his way to his car. Ralph was already waiting for him beside his car before he came out. As Ethan filled him in on his schedule for the day, he reviewed a contract he was offered before his encounter with the old witch.
Just as they were about to enter the car, Lola came out of the house, ready to go to the hospital and be with James. Max knew then that he was going to hire a new driver for her too. She's now a billionaire's wife, so her safety can't be risked.
He instructed Ralph to drive her instead while Ethan drove him until he employed a new driver which wouldn't pass twenty-four hours.
"Thank you, honey." Lola didn't think she needed to put on a show for Ethan and Ralph, but she wanted to play Max's game on him.
