Excerpt "We might be married but I am not going to sleep in the same room with you," Sage said, gritting her teeth. A smile tugged his lips. "Is that so?" He asked and placed his leg on top of the other. Sage frowned deeply. "Yes," She drawled, clenched her fists which busted out raging flames of fire. "I am going to sleep here, with you." Cyrus said calmly and stood up walking towards her slowly. Sage couldn't deny that she was scared but she wasn't going to let her fear get the best of her. "Don't come closer!" "Why?" "I am going to burn you!" She screamed, closing her eyes shut. Fear swallowed her when she felt a cold hand grab her wrist and her back met the bed with Cyrus hovering over her. Screams from home

Sage was exhausted as she walked around the castle, listening for the echo of her father's voice.

Her eyes were filled with tears, and her heart was on the verge of reaching her throat because of the fear in his voice.

She didn't want to lose her father because she had no one else and she knew how much he loved her.

She arrived at the castle's entrance to find a slew of dead guards on the ground. They had been brutally murdered, which sent shivers up her spine. The majority of them were guards who had been ordered by Dexter to take her to the dungeon. She noticed that there were no mages among the guards.

Sage's head throbbed as she struggled to understand what was going on.

There weren't as many guards in the castle which was odd, none of whom were mages, and Dexter ruled over them.

She scowled. She wanted answers! She was well aware that Cyrus was aware of what was going on, but she was also aware that he would not tell her anything.
