Outing 2

After visiting the Louvre Museum, the next place Narumi and Daiki were supposed to go was a famous bakery shop in Paris, Stohrer. Narumi had wanted to try out all kinds of pastries that were sold there because she was a huge fan.

'Some pastries could help make today less weird,' she thought.

They went to place their order: "Two Rum Baba, Blank, Baba Chantilly, and croissants."

"Thank you. Your order will be delivered to your table in a minute," said the employee, who seemed to be around 40 years old and looked like he had seen some pretty awful things in life. His eyes had dark circles underneath them, which showed how much time he spent sleeping every day of his life. He didn't look good at all.

"Thank you." Narumi said. They took their seats by a window, where they could watch people walk by.

A waitress arrived with their order; she starred at Daiki for a while because he looked so handsome to her.

"Hope you enjoy your orders." The lady said with a little wink that was directed for Daiki.

'Did she just wink at Daiki?' Narumi thought to herself. 'Or maybe I am imagining it.'

"Daiki, did that lady wink at you?" Narumi asked him.

"I guess so." Daiki said as he took a bite from his croissant. He wasn't bothered by that; all he wanted was to eat the delicious pastries in front of him.

'How dare she?' she thought. "Winking at the guy who is supposed to be my husband.'

Narumi turned a little bit to see that the waitress was still looking at Daiki. What was her problem?

'I need to do something.' Narumi thought. 'I have an idea.'

She took a piece of her croissant and tried to feed it to Daiki. The poor guy was so confused, but he still complied.

"There you go, darling. Should I feed you again?" Narumi asked.

"Of course you can." Daiki smiled.

'I wonder why I am being showered with love and attention today; it's not like I'm complaining about it.' He thought as he started eating the croissant more enthusiastically than before.

Narumi looked at the waitress, who looked quite annoyed.

'There you go.' She thought as she made eye contact with the woman once more. Her eyes moved back to her table, but this time she noticed something—it was a paper. When she opened it, the content of the paper made her so furious.

"You asked that waitress for her number?" Narumi shouted at Daiki.

He looked so confused once again. "What waitress? The one that served us."

"Yes, that one." Narumi said in her loudest voice. "The lady who winked at you."

"Nope I didn't ask for her number, so if she did that, I don't know why." Daiki shrugged.

'That little bitch.' Thought Narumi. She felt so angry and jealous.

It felt like there was a fire inside her heart, and she wasn't able to calm down. She stood up and walked to the waitress, who was busy with a customer.

"Can I..."

The waitress couldn't finish her statement because Narumi gave her a tight slap across her face, making sure it was painful.

Her eyes began watering.

"You, you slut." She said it through clenched teeth.

The entire place went silent. Everyone was watching the scene play out before them. Some were shocked; others were worried and scared of what would happen next.

"How dare you drop your number on my table! Did you plan on giving it to my husband?" Narumi continued her attack.

The waitress rubbed her cheek. She looked really sad, even though she had deserved it.

"I'm so sorry, ma." She whispered.

"Shut up! Don't apologize!" Narumi raised her voice. She didn't want to hear anything more from the girl.

"Narumi, calm down." Daiki grabbed her arm. "I'm so sorry to everyone." He told the customers who were watching the scene and then pulled Narumi back down, but she refused to do that.

'She deserves it.' Thought Narumi before leaving the bakery.
