Chapter 88 Engagement Party 15

"Why is the love of your life suddenly an asshole?" Carie smiled broadly. "When did I say Alex was the love of my life?" I knew she was trying to tease me and this was not funny at all. "I don't know, I thought if someone steals your first kiss, then they automatically, become the love of your life!" She said.

"Stop joking around Carie it doesn't work that way!" I rolled my eyes trying to cover my flushed face. "You look like you're trying to hide the fact that you now like my brother!" Carie narrowed her eyes at me. "People like people!" I just don't know how to hide things away from Carie.

"So you're saying, you like Alex?" "I never said that!" She chuckled at my response. "It seems, your first kiss is not the only thing Alex has stolen. I'm confident he has stolen your heart too!" My heart skipped at her words. I gulped trying to swallow my anxiety.

Maybe she's right, I even wondered why I suddenly care so much about Alex unlike before, right now I can't stay a day without seeing him. I always want to see him and know what he's doing. We've only been a day apart, but it seems like a year.

Just then a lady walked in, "Hello madam!" She greeted arranging her brown hair backwards. "Hello!" I and Carie sang together. "I'm Helen the one in charge of your engagement party and wedding cards!" She introduced.

My heart skipped on hearing wedding, what's the use of exposing me to the world of it would not last forever. "Alright show us the samples!" I said. "Thank you Mrs Wilson!" "These are the samples of your engagement card!" She brought out three cards from her purse. One of them was clearly plastic with mine and Alex's name written clearly on it with golden color.

The second was a black card and the last was a white card. They were beautiful and again I didn't have a choice. I passed them down to Carie and she helped me pick the black card. "We're not done with them, the name's of the invites would be included for the finishing. It's up to you and your husband to decide that and send the names to us!" She said.

"That's alright, the names will be sent to you!" I responded with a smile. "These here are the wedding invitation cards!" She brought out three samples of the card. We picked the white feather card, that had diamond stones on it. This was no ordinary card, I peaked interest in knowing how much this cards were.

How much do you sell a card?" I asked. "It's $500,000 each, these are no ordinary cards, each cards contains piece of the cullinan diamonds!" She said. Her words made me gulp and for the first time I thought of how rich Alex was to spend lots of money on mere cards.

If we were to invite a hundred guest then he would spend $50 million on the cards alone. I tried to control myself right now so I wouldn't be the only one acting stupid. It's really hard to adopt to this life and not embarrass your self.

"I should get going, we have less than a week now before the ceremony!" She said with a smile and left. A parkage came in as she left, in was in a black box, but without the name of the sender. I wondered who the sender may be. I opened the box and found a diamond jewelry' in it.

"Wow!" I and Carie exclaimed.
