Chapter 272 FUNERAL 1

Standing beside the door David watched the couple smile and laugh at each other, both their hands were entwined together as Alex kept saying things to her, things that made them blush. He envied them already, it was clear Alex was the perfect match for his daughter, she looked so happy. His Hazel was smiling wholeheartedly because of this man. Alex might be bad to everyone else, but not his daughter, he loves Hazel.

Without knowledge someone was watching, Alex held her chin and pulled her in for a kiss, He saw the couple kiss so passionately. He should have let them be giving them some space to express themselves but this two could take a year cuddling each other forgetting they have things to do.

"Ehm." He cleared his throat ignoring what he just saw or had seen, Hazel met his gaze looking redder than a tomato so did Alex with a little frown.

"Dad," Hazel muttered, she was more than happy to see him here and embarrassed at the same time. "Congratulations Hazel." He said calmly, "Thank you, Dad." "Please take good care of my daughter Alex, I'm leaving her to you." He added and Alex nodded slightly. Right now he regretted why he touched the man earlier, he was just so upset to think about anything.

David walked towards the door after his talk with his daughter and grandson, he decides to finally let them be and bless their marriage which he's done. "David." He met his son inlaws gaze, "I need to talk to you." Alex said calmly. He kissed his wife's forehead tenderly before leaving the room.

Just as both men left the room, the rest of the family stepped in to see Hazel, Maria, and Carie and the rest rushed in to hug her. The babies were adorable, and so healthy, almost like normal babies. "Hazel..." Care called hugging her baby but careful not to touch her stomach. Hazel was still feeling a bit weak and unable to speak loudly. The pain was evident in her smile and they all knew she had to rest.

She's brought joy to them, what more could they ask of. Everyone was super happy about the sudden good news they heard, and they hoped more of this kind of news will occur from now on.

"This place looks very calm and peaceful." David and Alex stood on the rooftop of the hospital building staring into space. "I'm sorry you found your daughter In a terrible state that day." Alex's tone was lower and calmer than usual, he was in his relaxed state feeling so blessed and fulfilled.

Feeling so happy and overjoyed, if only people knew how happy he was, maybe if they could read his mind then they would know. David said nothing to him, it still hurt him seeing his daughter in that state. For years he's searched for the girl that used to have a boutique in Los Angeles, but all of a sudden disappeared without a word to anyone.

There was no trace of her family or anyone related to her back there. But what did he expect from two orphans? When he met Vanessa back then she told him she had no family except her sister, even if she didn't tell him her real name which he still wondered why. And each time he asks her about it, she only chuckles and says nothing else.

"She told me all about it, I've decided to let things go cause of the sake of my grandkids. Make sure you take good care of them and don't let your foolishness take over your thinking again. Else." Alex grinned, this man was something else.

"I'll take good care of my family, you don't have to worry." David nodded. "It's safe to call you father now right?" "At least you know not to punch your Father, so yes." David walked away but his son-in-law stayed back. Alex needed a little bit more air. "Send the girl to the Huxley's mansion by morning Diane."

"Uhh, the fun just started now boss." She murmured. "I never said don't deal with her, just don't deliver her dead tomorrow." He hunged up.

"Alexander Wilson." Two men called from behind, before walking up to him. "Congratulations bro." Lukas and Benson both double hugged him. "Thank you." He smiled. "I'm I seeing things or is that your father-in-law?" Benson brought out a cigarette from his pocket extending it to the men standing before him.

"I need to put my wife to sleep first before the celebration, you how she scolds me." Said Alex for the other two to light their cancer stick taking it in and puffing it out. "Oh we forgot, we're not married." Lukas mocked.

"Where the hell have you been Benson?" Alex ignored Lukas. "Dubai, having fun with the ladies, as usual," Benson said the obvious.

"So... Did you find THE ONE?" Lukas the nosey friend asked, "Nope, just some random hot chick that caught my attention playing the hard to get and the I don't give a F**k attitude." Alex chuckled at his words, his dear Benson was getting attached to a mysterious lady but still doesn't want to accept it.

This is the right time to tease the hell out of Benson. He smiled mischievously.

THREE WEEKS LATER...

We arrived back at the mansion three weeks ago, and according to the doctor, little Kyle, Alex, and Leah are all healthy and ready to live in the normal world but should always come for check-ups regularly. My wounds were now almost healed completely, Alex allowed the doctor to come to check us all up in the mansion filled with his family and mine, mostly grandma, mum, and Dad.

I won't say I've been the one carrying my children since I gave birth to them, I barely even touch them, their Godmother Mrs. Carie viotto barely had time for Lukas anymore cause she's been the mother of my kids. She's their godmother and they love her too.

"I've made sure to place 15 bottles of milk in the fridge for them just in case we don't get back early." Alex fixed his tie before the floor-to-ceiling mirror, "Hmm... Wonder who they inherited their eating habit from?" He met my gaze and returned it. "I had a large appetite while a kid." He admitted shamelessly. It's still surprising how Leah a girl inherited such eating habits, even more than the boys.

We were all dressed in black for aunt Amelia's funeral, Alex earlier wanted to skip it but I had to plead he escorts me to the funeral. It is a family funeral and no matter what Aunt Amelia did to me, she was still my family. We both stood before the floor-to-ceiling mirror staring at our appearances, my stomach was yet to get flat and I'd already discussed liposuction with Alex to which he declined.

He's been making me do a few exercises in the gym for days now, I didn't know about the existence of any gym until I gave birth. I'm exhausted but I could see some changes in my body. "You look so beautiful Mrs. Wilson." He complimented pulling me to himself for a kiss. "You're not looking bad yourself Mr. Wilson." He smiled. "I love you." Of course, I blushed at his words, if that's what you want to hear.

.

We both arrived at the funeral ground which held mum, dad, I and Alex, and most members of the Balowe family and of course Maya. Currently, she no longer lives in NYC, that was one of the agreements Mr. Balowe had with the Wilsons. He pleaded for the release of his daughter, his last joy and hope since Beverly didn't look like one that will recover soon.

Her condition was getting worse by the day. All the drugs given had a side effects on her, so she was instructed not to take them anymore.

The pastor began the sermon, reading the Bible and blessing her soul. After the church ceremony, we all headed over to the cemetery for the final interment. Mum couldn't stop crying neither could I, no matter what Aunt Amelia used to be my best friend, she was like my second mother when mum was ill.

It hurt me that she did terrible things to me, but that didn't mean I hated her. The family members were all asked to say their final words before she was finally buried. Alex escorted me to the casket ready to be pulled into the grave for my final words to her. After my words were others who had a thing or two to say to her and we watched them lower the casket into the grave.

Flowers were thrown and the Funeral came to an end, but not for the family. We walked up to Mr. Balowe who looked like a lost dog, he was held by Maya who couldn't meet my gaze.

"I express my earnest commiseration to you and the rest of your family on the demise of my aunt dear uncle, you are in my heart." He only nodded at my words and left with Maya and the rest. I and Alex went with mum and Dad back to the mansion.
